WHAT IF... NICHOLAS AND FALLON MET AS TEENAGERS?
F A L L O N
. . .
"I'm coming," I groan as Donia drags me by the hand, up the porch and towards the mansion where the party is taking place.
"If I knew the party was thrown by someone I don't even know, I wouldn't have come," I scoff.
When Donia asked me to join her at a party, I expected it'd be a party by one of our friends.
Not someone she has never fucking met in her life before.
Someone she knows by another friend and doesn't even go to school with us.
"Oh, please, Fallon. We're seniors, and so we must enjoy every party in the last year of high school," Donia fires back. "And people we know we'll be there. Don't be a drama queen."
"I'm not a drama queen."
"Whatever you say, babes."
The party is full-blown. There are so many people here and the mansion is huge. There's no doubt I could get lost in it.
Some people are even scattered in the front garden and around the house, just chilling, drinking, or making out.
"Who even lives here?" I ask as we go up the steps and arrive at the open doors.
"Just some rich ass dude."
"I don't like the fact that anyone could just walk in," I grumble as we squeeze through all the people in the house.
The entrance of the house is grand. Like a castle where princes and princesses live.
"Not true. We got an invite through Jackson and he could bring three other people. We're lucky he chose us," Donia winks, never letting go of my hand.
"Lucky, right..." I trail off with a snort. Though, some relief floods me when I see some people from our school in the garden.
They're smoking weed. Of course.
Despite my hesitance to be here, Donia lets me feel at ease and she drags me to the dance floor, where I slowly let go of the tension and start enjoying the music.
Even though I don't know half of these people and prefer parties where I'm familiar with everyone, I still let loose and have a good time with my friend.
Donia puts her hands on my hips and we both let our hips move to the rhythm of the music.
"God, Fallon, you look so fucking hot in this slutty dress," Donia shouts in my ear.
"Is it too slutty?" I ask and feel the blush rising to my cheeks. She shakes her head. "It's perfect. Nothing is too slutty, babe."
"Thank you," I grin and throw my head back. I decided to let my hair loose for tonight and took extra care of it, putting in more crème in the ends and making sure my edges are nicely done.
After some time, Reed and Jackson join us on the dance floor as well.
I find myself having a good time dancing, even though I'm in the middle of a crowd with drunk people and the stench of sweat is hanging in the air.
I see Reed and Jackson return with red cups in their hands and I realize how wasted they are already. Donia is grinding down on some other guys and getting into it.
I realize that I need a breather, and I worm myself from between the dancing people and into the crowded hallways.
How many people does the host know? He seems to be social as fuck based on the number of people there are.
Wandering around, I bump into some people I know from school and stop to chat with them every now and then.
Since I'm here anyway, I make it my mission to explore this huge ass mansion. Donia is probably getting dicked down or dancing. While my other two idiots of friends are getting wasted.
And I don't like to get drunk around a lot of strangers. Especially if there are so many people I don't know.
So instead, I use my time to explore the house and see what's there to discover. Even though I live in a big house myself, this one is double or even triple the size of my own and that says a lot.
I enter what seems to be some sort of a lounge. The party is still going on here, but it's less crowded.
There are a few couches which are all occupied by guys and girls. Some other people are standing near the walls or pouring themselves a drink.
There are a few people dancing where there's space. I make my way through the crowd, planning on going to the next room.
Though one of the dancing people accidentally bumps into me and I lose my balance on my high heels.
Causing me to fall right on someone's lap that's sitting on the couch.
Lifting my gaze, my eyes meet a pair of hazel ones that stare right back at me. My breath hitches in my throat when I see whose lap I'm sitting on.
And fuck, he's hot.
His sculptured face is blinding. With soft-looking lips and a strong, chiseled jawline accompanied by high cheekbones.
And his eyes are so... captivating. Like he can see right through your soul. A mix of green and brown.
They're so intense and full of secrets, and so bright and dark at the same time.
His hair is dark like chocolate, untamed with a few curls.
The corner of his lips tugs upward into a smirk, exposing a dimple.
"Look at that. An angel falling right into my lap."
His deep voice catches me off-guard. It's so deep and smooth... it has me mesmerized for a few seconds.
"It was an accident," I murmur shyly. He hums and lifts his hands, touching a curl that's hanging by my face.
"There are no accidents, angel," he says with a coy smile.
"Now, why don't we turn this into something more interesting. Upstairs in my bedroom, yeah?"
Jerk.
A blush paints my cheeks and I clear my throat, glancing around me and seeing that the others on the couch are looking at us.
"I'm sorry," I excuse myself and stand up, tugging down the hem of my dress and quickly making my way out of that room.
I feel like I can breathe again when I'm walking in one of the many hallways.
The gaze of that guy was too heavy for me to bear. Even though the attraction I feel towards him, caught me off-guard and I didn't like that we had an audience.
And he's too cocky for my liking.
But fuck, he's hot.
I don't know where my heels are taking me, but soon, I've arrived at a secluded spot with a pool and even a hot tub.
I don't hear the sound of someone running up to me until a tall figure appears in front of me.
I'm surprised to find the same guy from before standing in front of me.
"You got away," he says and lets his eyes roam over my face. And then down my body.
My body thrums with excitement when I feel his eyes on me. And I feel like my skin is on fire underneath his gaze.
Goosebumps erupt all over, and I hate my reaction to his presence.
"I did. One would think you'd get the hint."
"Maybe I'm stupid," he smirks and leans against the wall, casting his gaze down on me with an interesting look in his eyes.
"Apparently," I deadpan and try to even out my breathing with his stare on me.
"I'm Nicholas. And you?"
"Why would you like to know my name?"
"I want to know the names of the people who fall into my lap," he answers and lifts his hands, running the pads of his fingers over my cheek and then down my neck.
"So, angel, what's your name?"
"Fallon," I answer without thinking like he gently pulled it out of my mouth.
He drops his head, so our faces are only mere inches apart.
"Nice to meet you, Fallon," he whispers.
My throat suddenly runs dry. "Likewise, Nicholas," I manage to whisper.
"So, my offer from before still stands," he hums, running his fingers over my neck.
"Now, why don't we turn this into something more interesting. Upstairs in my bedroom, yeah?"
I bite back a cringe at the memory of his words and take a step back.
"No thanks."
With that, I whirl around and start walking away from him.
But once again, he catches up to me. "I was joking," he defends himself and rakes a hand through his dark locks.
"If those are your flirting moves, I pity everyone else you've slept with."
"It usually works," he fires back. I raise my eyebrows, not impressed.
"Bold of you to assume I'd fall for such antics."
"Clearly, I need to try harder."
"Clearly, I won't be sleeping with you."
"We'll see about that," he says with so much confidence, that I almost fall for it.
"Go back to whatever you were doing. I was just exploring this place."
"And? You like it?
"This huge ass place looks like princes live here along with other royalty. Like who needs this kind of home?"
"I hope you like princes, then," he smirks, making me frown. "What do you mean?" I ask.
"Prince Nicholas. At your service."
My eyes widen. "You live here?"
"Yeah, I do. Now, will you accept this prince's request and spend some time with me?"
"Hard pass."
"My royal heart is wounded," he says and clutches his chest.
I bite back a chuckle. I find him amusing. And charming. And I'm attracted to him. Why the fuck am I attracted to him?
"Find someone else to mend it."
"But I want you to mend it," he replies smoothly and puts both his hands on either side of me on the wall.
He leans in and I hold my breath, clenching my thighs together when he skims his lips over my cheek.
"Now that I've caught sight of an angel, I want more of you," he whispers.
"Nicholas, there you are!" a male voice booms at the end of the hallway. Turning my head, I see a guy standing there with a girl clinging to his side. "We were wondering where you were."
Taking this as my chance, I slip from underneath Nicholas' arms and start walking down the hallway at a fast pace.
A squeal rips from my lips when two arms wrap around my waist from behind and lift me up from the ground.
"I'm good," Nicholas yells and throws me over his shoulder. "I have something else that needs my immediate attention."
With that, he walks down the hallways, leaving the party behind.
"Isn't this kidnapping?" I ask my gaze on the ground.
"Not if the person is willing."
"Who says I'm willing?"
"I know you are, angel. Who wouldn't be? It's me."
"If you're expecting pussy tonight, I'm sorry to disappoint."
We arrive at a door and he opens it, before stepping inside and closing the door behind me.
"Who says I wanted some pussy?" he asks and lifts his hand, toying with a strand of my hair.
"Well then, if that's not what you want, why don't you go hang out with your friends? They seem to miss you."
"Not interested," he shrugs, "not since an angel fell into my lap."
"You really need to stop viewing me as an angel."
"But you look like one, I can't help myself," he replies.
That makes me pause and blush. To distract me, I avert my gaze and see that we're in a bedroom. Everything in the room is black. The bed sheets, pillows, and even the paintings or pictures hanging on his walls.
At the other side of the room, there's a French door leading to a big balcony.
"This is your room?" I ask and send him a glance. All he does is nod, keeping his eyes on me the whole time.
Walking over towards the doors, I open them and step outside, meeting the warm air of the night.
The balcony has a view over the big garden, and it's located on the other side of the house. I can hear the faint music coming from around the corner and if I crane my neck, I can see a few people on the grass or sitting by the pool.
It's dark up here, and no one can see us.
"Tell me, Fallon, what brought you here tonight?" Nicholas asks from behind me. I shrug.
"An invitation of a friend. Apparently, you invited him."
"Lucky me for inviting that friend over."
"You seem to have a lot of friends," I say, referring to the party. Nicholas only offers me a cocky smile.
"What can I say? I'm too much fun to be around."
Biting my lip to stop myself from smiling, I go to the broad balustrade and take a seat on it. Then, my eyes meet Nicholas'.
"Why did you bring me here?" I ask and tilt my head to the side.
"I wanted to get to know you," he answers, seeming honest. "And I usually get what I want," he adds with a smirk.
I keep our eyes locked as he nears me, and places both his hands on either side of my hips, entrapping me.
He tilts his head to the side, letting his eyes travel over my face. I feel naked under his stare like I can't hide from his piercing gaze and it makes me feel vulnerable.
He hums and leans in closer to my face, letting his nose skim over my jaw. I hold my breath and flutter my eyes closed for a split second.
"Fallon..." he whispers, making me clench my thighs together and the sound of his rich voice.
He leans back, locking eyes with me again. I feel bold for not looking away.
Subconsciously, my lips part and I feel my eyes widen slightly. My breath is stuck in my throat as I wait in anticipation as to what he's going to do next.
But what I didn't expect was for him to lean in and peck my lips.
Too shocked to even say anything, I keep staring at him when he leans back to see my reaction. A smirk grazes his lips when he looks at my face.
He lifts his hand and cups my cheek, leaning his face down again to reconnect our lips.
He places another kiss on my lips, leaving me wanting more. His touch sets my skin on fire, making me crave more of it.
When his lips touch mine again, I kiss him back. I melt against his body and let him take control over me.
My fingers are itching to run themselves through his silky locks and over his carved chest. And that's exactly what I do.
He deepens the kiss, flicking his tongue over the seam of my upper lip, surprising me. I part my lips, letting his tongue enter, and clench my thighs together when his tongue touches mine.
I've never felt anything like this before. I've kissed before, of course, but never did I have this type of feeling.
My dress starts feeling a bit too hot for my skin. My body starts feeling too hot.
An involuntary moan leaves my lips when his tongue starts to stroke mine. I part my legs so he can stand in between them, making it a bit easier for him.
He places his other hand on my waist, squeezing my skin and pulling my body even closer to his.
We keep tasting each other's lips, and if I'm being honest, I don't think I'll ever have enough of his taste.
I tilt my head a bit to the side and kiss him with much fervor. His hand that was resting on my cheek, slides down a bit, towards my jaw which he caresses with his thumb.
His hand that's resting on my waist, slides up a bit. I'm hyperaware of everything that's happening.
I want to pout when he takes a step back. I crave more of his lips. Of his taste.
"There," he sighs, his eyes piercing through mine, "that was something that needed to happen."
A scream of laughter attracts my attention, and I realize it's coming from somewhere in the garden.
I have a hard time swallowing before I look back at Nicholas. "Maybe we should head back to the party."
"Maybe you should spend some more time with me. Right here," he whispers and kisses me once again.
My toes curl in my heels and I immediately respond to his kiss.
"Go out to dinner with me," he murmurs against my lips.
"Let me think about it," I reply, making him chuckle.
"I'll give you five minutes," he responds and trails kisses down to my jaw.
"Do I have a choice?"
"Of course," he says and leans back. "Either go out to dinner with me or spend the rest of your life in misery."
"I'll get back to you," I say with a little laugh.
"Just once," Nicholas negotiates and presses another kiss on my lips. "Just." Kiss. "Once." Kiss.
"And then you'll beg for more," he promises.
I bite back a grin.
"Alright. Just once."
. . .
I miss them sooooo much and it's only been a day.
They've grown on me bruh.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter and this alternate universe.
In which Nicholas falls for her nonetheless.
Anyway, there are probably more bonus chapters to come, so don't worry <33
I love you
