.・゜゜・elizabeth, neil and aris had been rescued a week ago, they were given beds, food, new clothes and showers. it all seemed to good to be true, liz knew it was too good to be true. aris agreed with her but neil was all for staying. she knew he'd follow her wherever she went though, there was no way he'd let her just up and leave. that was the rule, they'd follow eachother wherever they went. the rule they made when in the maze.
sonya, harriet and amelia had been taken to another facility, god knows where. they've had no word on the three girls or the others from their maze. elizabeth had her hope though, the girls were strong. it was how they escaped the maze in the first place.
since the age of fourteen she had been in that maze, she was the first person there. she had become the leader over the three years. her and her girls had things running smoothly. harriet and sonya being her second in commands and amelia her bestfriend helped out whenever elizabeth felt she couldn't run things. they felt things were calm in the maze, but then neil showed up and chaos broke out among the girls. a boy for the first time ever being thrown into their maze, it disrupted their order. so when aris was also thrown into the maze a month later with a note claiming he'd be the last the girls had no clue what to do.
supplies then stopped coming and so did food, shades started coming out at irregular times and tried taking the girls off one by one. they had lost five others but those were the only casualties they ever suffered. they eventually escaped and thought the worst was over.
but elizabeth wasn't so sure. their "saviours" had taken eight of their girls to a different facility and wouldn't let out any information on where they were being held. it was aggravating to say the least. elizabeth had tossed and turnt every night, she slept with the worry for her friends overcoming her.
"did you hear?" a mixed boy she knew as nate asked from beside her as the two ate their lunch, aris at a different table further away and neil flirting with some random girl from another maze. nate was nice but he seemed a bit too touchy for her liking.
she looked up from her food with a raised eyebrow not knowing what he was referring to. "a new group came in today, apparently they're group a" he said before james joined them, a boy from nates group.
"more? they're already taking so little away a day though?" she was confused, around eight other immunes were taken each day to "paradise" where there they would be given the chance to restart their lives. no one knew where exactly they were being taken but no one seemed to question janson whenever he called them away.
before nate or james could reply the doors to the food hall were being opened and a group of boys all around 16-17 walked in, all looking around amazed at all of the food and new faces. the new kids. elizabeth didn't feel in the mood to talk to them and knew the two boys beside her would try to. she got up from her seat leaving her tray of food before grabbing an apple of the tray and walking over to neil.
"what's up with her?" james asked nate as they both turnt to see the girls retreating figure, her long wavy raven hair hitting the middle of her back, her plum tank top sticking too her body tightly showing off her figure and her brown cargo pants hanging lowly leaving her tanned mid riff exposed.
"no clue, but she looks cute when she's annoyed" nate laughed before james pulled a face and hit the boy round the back of his head. james called the new kids over within a second as elizabeth watched from afar.
"stop being a little stalker" neil told the girl jokingly as he rested both of his hands on her shoulders and leant on her back with his chest. she was much shorter than him so it didn't do much but it was normal for the two of them.
"they're from group a" she said not turning to look at the boy, her eyes focused on the group. especially the blonde boy, he was short but still taller than her by quite a bit. he looked a bit weary at first but soon didn't seem like he was worried anymore. and she knew he had now put his trust into their "saviours"
"maybe you should relax" he suggested her as he began to massage her shoulders for her, his short blonde hair slightly falling into his eyes. it wasn't as long as when in the maze, which elizabeth missed. she remembered braiding his shoulder length hair when he first arrived and how he'd let her do whatever she wanted to it.
"not when our friends are still out there" she put the idea down quick, neil let out a small groan turning to glance at aris who wasn't interested in their conversation but rather his piece of cake.
"i'm sure sonya, harriet and amelia are perfectly fine. we'll see them again soon" he made sure to put emphasise on amelia's name knowing how much elizabeth worried for the girl. it had been a constant thing since amelia arrived in their maze. the asian girl had refused to leave the cage for the first few days and harriet had been on duty to bring her food.
"i don't know what i'll do if they're not" she sighed out before turning to face the boy, she looked up to meet his green eyes which were bright with hope. she didn't know how he managed to be so optimistic at times like these when the world was literally burning around them.

"how long you guys been here?" newt asked nate and james as thomas had finally joined the group. all the boys weren't too easy about settling in but didn't push away the food or anything offered.
"not long. just a day or two" james answered before him and nate turnt around to look at aris, neil and elizabeth. "that kid sitting down and those two have been here the longest" thomas, newt, minho, winston and fry turnt to look at the trio
elizabeth could feel eyes on her and scrunched her eyebrows before figuring it was probably nate and james being weirdos and talking about her to the new guys. neil could see the face she was pulling and looked up to see all the boys turnt. after catching his eye they all turnt quickly. except thomas.
"been here a week" james finished. neil had begun to make his way away from elizabeth towards aris and gave liz a kiss on the forehead before gently pushing her towards the james, nate and the new kids.
"their maze was nothing but girls" nate started explaining with a smirk as minho looked at him in slight shock.
"really?" the asian boy asked with uncertainty but nate and james nodded.
"some guys have all the luck. the one standing there was elizabeth, their leader. she's really ho-" the boy was cut off as a dainty hand with small cuts and bruises landed on his shoulder. the tanned skin gave it away quickly to the boys indicating to who it was.
"i'm really what, huh, james?" elizabeths questioning voice started as all the boys looked up at her. they agreed with james cut off statement knowing what he was about to say.
james let out an awkward laugh before him and james made a space in between them again for the girl to sit. "really nice, yeah.." he said before nate threw an arm around her which she rolled her eyes at.
"so you're from group a?" she started as she let her eyes cross over each boy in front of her. the one with dark brown hair and brown eyes watched her intently. he looked around seventeen and had small freckles and moles splattered all over his face. his gaze was so intense but so familiar to her. she wondered if she knew him before she was put into her maze.
the blonde one she noticed when they first entered nodded with a smile, he reminded her of neil with their hope filled eyes. it made her stomach uneasy. "how many of you were there?" her tone wasn't welcoming or inviting at the least but the boys didn't blame her.
"around fifty of us" minho answered as he stared intently at the girl with a grin, he thought she was really pretty but obviously had no intention of speaking to the boys for too long. "what about you guys?"
"maybe 20, and then we had neil and aris show up" she nodded not sharing too much information. thomas hadn't stopped staring and she turnt to meet his eyes before speaking up "do i know you?" the question caught him off guard and he sputtered to find an answer.
the others boys looked between them with confused eyes, newt had an idea that he knew what she meant and knew thomas did aswell. "i'm not sure" the reply wasn't blunt but didn't offer any other hint of emotion.
she nodded in reply to his question before making a move to get up and return to aris and neil. the boys watched her begin to retreat intently before she stopped and turnt to look at nate and james "same time tomorrow, don't leave me waiting" and she was gone.
her last sentence caused something to stir in the back of thomas' head. he didn't know why it was so familiar or why her voice caused something to tug at his heart, but he didn't like it. he had gotten some of his memories of theresa back so why didn't any of this girl hit him. was he imagining the fact that he had known her, or did he really just not remember?
