i was in the kitchen with my parents, getting a glass of water. my thoughts were interrupted when i heard the doorbell ring.

"i'll get it", i told my parents as i approached the door. i knew exactly who would be there.

i opened the door, revealing my bestest friend, ellie, "i got snacks", she said with the biggest grin on her face, lifting up the bag of snacks that she brought.

we embraced each other in a hug, "i've missed my best friend", i said as i hugged her tighter.

"and i've missed you more".

we went straight up to my room. we have a lot to catch up on.

"alright, now spill. i want all the details", ellie said as she sat on my bed and opened a bag of chips.

"damn... that's a lot", ellie mumbled as she stuffed her face with chips.

"i know", i sighed.

it was silent for a bit until ellie spoke up, "come back to school"

"why? school sucks", i rolled my eyes, taking the bag of chips from her.

"but so is not seeing my best friend"

"not my fault you're always grounded"

"and it's not my fault that my parents aren't as chill as yours", she laughed while reaching for a chip.

"wait... if you come back to school, you'll probably get so caught up with everything, it'll take your mind off chase. there. problem solved. "

before i could answer back, my phone screen lit up from where it lay on my bed.

'hudson would like to facetime...'

i picked my phone up, reading the screen and then showing ellie, "what do i do?"

"accept it duh"

"oliviaaa", chase called out as he brought his face closer to his phone.

"chase!", i called out, doing the same he did.

"hi chase", ellie called out from where she sat (we were sitting face to face)

"am i tripping or did you just say that without moving your mouth", he furrowed his eyebrows, clearly confused.

"no, that was me", ellie laughed as she moved around so she was in the frame as well.

"chase, this is my best friend ellie. ellie, this is chase", i said as i introduced the two.

"hey i thought i was your best friend hmm"

"i'm her number one tho ", ellie flashed him a smile, he then rolled his eyes. ellie was now on her phone, not paying attention to anything around her.

"so have you asked cynthia out yet?", i asked him, changing the subject.

"no, not yet. but when i do, you for sure will be the first person i tell"

"what would you do if she says no?"

"i don't know. i don't really want to think about me getting rejected."

"y'know chase...", ellie spoke as she sat up straight.

what is she gonna say?

"if things don't work out between you and cynthia, i know someone who would LOVE to be with you".

i turned my head in ellie's direction and glared at her.

"uh sorry ellie.. you're not really my preference", chase said, causing both ellie and i's mouths to fall open.

"but i'm blonde and so is cynthia? whatever. you're not my type either. anyway, i wasn't even talking about me"

"oh really... then who?", he smirked.

ellie looked at me before continuing, "can't say. it's a secret"

"aw darn it"

"i'm gonna have to end this, me and ellie are going live on tiktok in a few mins"

"we are?", ellie questioned.

"yeah.. we are", i slowly nodded my head.

"okay. bye ladies, i'll watch your live", chase waved and then blew me a kiss.

"bye chase", ellie and i both said, i blew him a kiss back.

ellie looked at me after the call ended.

"what?"

"nothing", she laughed as she shook her head.

"hey guys", i smiled as i waved at my phone.

"hiii", ellie cheered as she moved her head to the side so she could see.

"i need to find a place to prop my phone up...", i mumbled as leant my phone against the headboard of my bed.

"this is my best friend eliza and i love her so much", i squeezed ellie in a tight hug, probably cutting off her circulation.

"no i don't like it when you call me eliza", ellie groaned.

by that time, a decent amount of people were watching so we decided to start.

"okay guys ask us some questions and we'll try to answer them"

i laid on my stomach as i was read the comments/ questions out loud.

"are me and chase - no we aren't dating. we're just good friends"

"do i like chase.."

"yes", ellie answered that for me. i looked at her and then back at my phone before saying,

"no. ellie's just playing around, i don't like chase. and chase doesn't like me, he likes... uh someone", i quickly changed my answer to that response once i realised that not everyone knows about chase and cynthia.

"why do we have so many snacks?"

"because we're fat", ellie yelled. we both broke into a little fit of laughter.

"hi chase!", i gasped when i saw that he had joined.

"do i get homeschooled... no i'm not homeschooled, i just haven't been to school in a while. but i do plan on going back next week"

"language!", i fake gasped

after the live, ellie told me everything i missed that happened at school while i was off.
