18 HOURS EARLIER

"Madi, seriously? You just got here less than 8 hours ago, and it's 3am!" Olivia groaned after Madison brought up her plan.

"Yes, but that's besides the point," Madison began. "I wasn't kidding about the Team Josh thing, this is my mission, it's why I'm here, I'm making it happen—"

"Wow, so you weren't just here for me?" Olivia pouted.

"Oh, of course not," Madison hugged her best friend, Olivia shoving her off playfully. "I'm kidding, you know I love you and I'm here for you. But I'm also here to bring Jolivia together, which is why a spontaneous trip to Disneyland for one or two days is ideal."

"But what about filming? You know Josh and I aren't done with the show yet."

"Who says I didn't talk to your directors and get the schedule to find out you both have at least two free days of not having to film?" Madison smirked.

"Your dedication is a little scary, but respectable," Olivia replied as Madison giggled.

"I know. But anyway, point is that today and tomorrow you guys are free, so we've gotta decide now! Are we doing this or not?"

Olivia hesitated. "But what if they change their minds and need us? What if your 'plan' doesn't work and this was all a waste? Oh, and what if my mom says no?"

"I don't think having fun at Disneyland is ever a waste, and we'll be fine, your mom loves me," Madison stuck out her bottom lip. "Please? Can we go to Disneyland with Joshy pretty please?"

Olivia rolled her eyes. "Fine, but you're going to be the one to bring this up to Josh and my mom."

Madison squealed and tackled her best friend. "Thank you! YES! Let's go bother your mom first!"

Madison found the look on Joshua's face once they told him her plan at his front door to be priceless. He reluctantly agreed as Madison forced him to pack an overnight back just in case before they all got into his car and headed over, Madison shoving Olivia into the front seat next to Joshua.

"You're luck you brought up this plan early enough for this almost 10-hour drive to get us to Disney before they close the parks," Joshua stated as he merged onto the highway. "Thanks for waking me up at 4am, by the way."

"You're welcome!" Madison grinned. "I come up with my best ideas at ungodly hours of the day."

"She's not wrong," Olivia added, Joshua letting out a small laugh.

Joshua played his Spotify playlist as they cruised down the highway, Madison texting Olivia from the backseat to talk to Joshua.

Olivia sighed shakily as she put down her phone, taking a quick glance behind her at Madison who gave her a thumbs up.

"So, Josh, any specific rides you want to go on at Disney?" Olivia asked.

"Space Mountain is a must," Joshua answered quickly. "And the monorail."

Olivia snickered. "The monorail? Dude, that's not even a real ride."

"It is if you make it one by shouting 'WHEE!' at the top of your lungs the entire ride across the park when you're five," Joshua replied as both her and Madison burst out laughing.

"You did that?" Olivia raised an eyebrow in his direction as he nodded and looked over at her for a quick second. Just for that moment, the two of them locking eyes and smiling at each other, felt like nothing had changed. For that moment, she forgot about a certain someone and was only focused on the way Joshua's smile made her heart skip a beat.

And maybe, just maybe, Olivia hadn't completely ruined her chances with Joshua.
