── .✦ "I'M GONNA RING BEN, tell him what's going on." Jane pulled out her phone as they climbed the rocks and Freddie nodded, shivering as he stepped over the sleeping bodies lying across the rocks. He had given Jane his blazer that he had luckily taken off earlier that day, leaving him completely soaked and cold, though he didn't mind, as long as she was okay.
One thing he thanked his parents for, was for teaching him to respect women and to always be a gentlemen. Also kindness, that was another thing though it was something his father was slightly lacking.
"No, no. Stay where you are, Ben. Audrey's got the sceptre and everyone's asleep. Well, except for me and Freddie. I'm gonna call Mom and tell her to get her wand." Jane abruptly stopped, and Freddie almost fell backwards but he caught his balance, watching as Jane ended the call before rushing up the rocks again.
"Did you even give him chance to speak?" He questioned, his Oxfords slippery on the rocks, meaning his arms were out to help him keep his balance and he had a fearful expression on his face, nervous he'd fall and hit his head, sending himself to sleep without the help of the sceptre.
"No, Fred, there's no time for that!" Jane yelled, pressing buttons on her phone and soon she had her mother on the phone, "Mom? Yeah, Mom, I'm fine. Audrey took the sceptre and is sending everyone to sleep. I'm heading towards you now, you need to get your wand. Love you!"
"And did you even let your Mom— Ah!" Freddie screamed, almost falling over as he reached the top of the rocks and Jane rolled her eyes, speeding off towards Fairy Godmother's office, leaving Freddie on his own.
Once he reached safety and balanced himself, he looked up from his shoes and Jane had disappeared, causing him to let out a heavy sigh. There wasn't much he could do other than do his royal duties and make sure everyone was safe, and then a lightbulb went off in his head. He knew exactly what he needed to do.
It was quiet, strangely quiet and it gave Freddie an uncomfortable feeling in his gut, the type of feeling that makes you want to throw up but he swallowed it before entering Evie's cottage as quietly as possible. Strolling through the usually noisy building, Freddie noticed things moved about as if someone had rushed out of the cottage.
"Evie?" He called out, unsure of her whereabouts but if she was anywhere, she had to be there, right? He came to Evie's cottage for two reasons, the first was the see if Evie was okay, of course — the second reason was to see if the kids were safe, and to his expectation, they were.
All three, except for Celia were on the couch, fast asleep due to the smoke Audrey had been spreading everywhere around campus. Squeaky, Squirmy and Dizzy were all snoring comfortably and Freddie chuckled, glad that they were okay. He approached, not having to be worried about waking them up since it was an unbreakable spell — well, sorta — and he grabbed a blanket, carefully placing it over them to keep them warm.
Once he was content with their safety, he walked out of the living room and towards the conservatory to see if Evie was miraculously in there. He knocked on the slightly ajar door and pushed it open a little, his eyes widening at the sight of someone sat in a chair in the middle of the bright room.
Her hair was pink with black highlights, and he knew exactly who it was, she spun in her chair, an evil smirk on her face, "Audrey?"
"Ah, Freddie, Freddie, Freddie. I've been waiting for, like, an hour." She stood from the chair, flipping her pink hair over her shoulder with her free hand as the other tapped the tip of the black and green sceptre.
"It's only been twenty minutes since you were at Jane's party." Freddie scrunched his brows, now stood in front of the door to the conservatory, his clothes stuck to his lean body due to the fact he was still soaking wet.
"Oh, yes. The party I wasn't invited to! We used to be friends, what happened?" Audrey questioned and Freddie blinked a few times before he opened his mouth to respond, only to be cut off by her, "I know! Those villains stole you, and they stole Ben, and they stole everyone!"
"No, Audrey, you're just mean." He stated with a wince, unsure of how she would take it and he instantly apologised, scared of the scowl on her face, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean that. You're not mean, you're nice... yeah. Sorry. I'm just gonna..."
He turned around, slowly making his way out of the door but he was stopped halfway, "Stop!" She shouted and he spun around with a wince on his face, putting a small welcoming smile on his face, "Good thing I'm the Queen of Mean, I don't take offence to your words. Now, you ready to go to sleep, pretty boy?"
"Uh, no?" He smiled convincingly, hoping it would convince her to not spell him but of course his luck ran out, and she pointed her sceptre towards him, laughing evilly as the smoke hurried towards Freddie, instantly putting him to sleep.
"Chad!" She exclaimed, and the aforementioned prince's head poked out from behind a rack of long dresses, a friendly smile on his face, "Move him over there!" She pointed over to the carpet in the middle of the floor and Chad nodded eagerly.
"Yes, my Queen." Chad placed one of his arms under Freddie's legs and the other under his torso in attempt to carry him bridal style, only to fail miserably, "Does this guy weigh three-hundred pounds? Why is he so heavy?"
"He works out, unlike someone." Audrey stared out of the window with a roll of her eyes and Chad squeezed his eyes shut in sadness, knowing her words were directed towards him. After a whole minute of failing to pick Freddie up, Chad resorted to dragging the Prince's body over to the middle of the conservatory and after quite a while of struggling, Freddie was finally laying peacefully on the carpet, snoring his lungs out.

FREDDIE'S SNORING WAS LOUD, loud enough to alert Uma, Mal and Evie as they watched Celia tell a fast asleep Dizzy that everything would be okay. Uma was the first to lay her eyes on Freddie, and she scrunched her brows, recognising the Prince, "Is that... Freddie?"
"Freddie." Evie spoke in unison with Uma, rushing over to him and kneeling down beside him. She shoved his shoulder in attempt to wake him, only to fail, "Freddie? Wake up. Wake up." She pushed him harder, but he stayed still and continued to snore loudly.
"He's spelled." Uma spoke loudly in an insulting tone and Evie's head snapped over to her, "Is she not a fast learner?" She turned to Mal, who was watching with her arms crossed over her chest, leaning against the stone doorway.
"She's emotionally involved, okay?" Mal frowned, aware of the whole 'I love you' situation between both Evie and Freddie. The purple-haired girl was confused herself as to why Evie didn't say it back, knowing she loved Freddie more than anything.
"Well, in that case, she should be able to wake him up." Uma sighed, looking away from the girl who had her hand on Freddie's forehead to check if he had a fever and Evie looked up with a confused look, causing both Uma and Mal to send her knowing looks, "True love's kiss. Works every time."
At Uma's words, Evie looked back down to Freddie with a saddened expression. There was a part of her that screamed she knew they that had true love, but another part of her yelled that they didn't, that she was too scared to fall in love.
"It's complicated." Mal mumbled to Uma after noticing the deadpanned look on the Villain girl's face. Evie placed her hand gently on Freddie's forehead once again and she snapped her eyes back over to Uma and Mal, a frown appearing on her face.
"Can we be alone?" Evie proposed and Mal nodded, leaving the room with Uma hot on her tail. Once they left the room, Evie pushed herself up from her crouch and she picked up her small red heart pin cushion covered in pins from her small coffee table, holding it up to her chest before she chucked it at the window.
"Don't freak out, it's okay 'cause true love can save the day and I think we feel the same. But I don't know. When we met, it was sweet. He was oh so into me. Seems like things are meant to be but I don't know." She sang, sat on the worktable beside Freddie's body, swinging her legs with a lovestruck smile on her face and she laid back, her knees propped up and her arms above her head, "Does he love me? Or does he not no more? Do I love him? And is it strong enough? One kiss."
"One kiss." Mal and Uma sang, spying on her from the doorway.
"It all comes down to this. One kiss." She slid off the table, staring down at Freddie, who crossed his ankles with his arms crossed under his head.
"One kiss."
"One kiss, one kiss. This moment could be it. And I-I-I wanna know, so here I go." She slowly crouched down in front of Freddie before she lifted herself back up, hiding by a mannequin wearing a pinned pink dress, "Keep it cool, keep it calm. Said he's loved me all along. But maybe he got it wrong. So I don't know."
Evie sat with her legs spread on one of her metal chairs, flipping her long hair over her shoulder with a fearful expression on her face, "He's so good, got my back. But maybe I'm just too bad. Could we be a perfect match? No I don't know."
She approached the tall golden mirror, staring at her reflection worriedly, "Does he love me? Or does he not no more? Do I love him? And is it strong enough? One kiss." She slid down the mirror, staring over at Freddie.
"One kiss."
"It all comes down to this. One kiss, one kiss." Evie crawled on her knees over to Freddie slowly as Uma and Mal continued to watch with suspense, "One kiss."
"One kiss."
"This moment could be it. And I-I-I wanna know, so here I go. Yeah, here I go." Evie spun around and rushed out of the open conservatory door, skipping onto the fresh newly cut grass, "I feel my heartbeat beating, saying it's gonna work. But if I'm dream, dream, dreaming, this is gonna hurt. Either I will or I won't. What if I do and you don't? Is he my Romeo? Oh, there's only one, one way to really know."
She entered the conservatory again and spun around, kicking the chair out of her way as she strutting towards the still fast asleep Freddie, whose snoring completely ruined her song, but she continued to sing anyway.
Once she approached, Evie kicked his feet, propping his knees up and grabbed his hands in attempt to pull him up but like Chad had mentioned earlier that day, he did weigh a ton so she gave up, lying back on him instead, "One kiss, one kiss. It all comes down to this. One kiss, one kiss. One kiss, one kiss. This moment could be it. I-I-I wanna know, so here I go."
Evie leaned in to kiss him, straddled over his waist but she lifted her head, unsure although she had kissed him before, "Just do it!" Uma huffed, impatiently stomping her foot and Evie smiled, placing her freshly manicured gloved hand on his cheek, caressing it before she leaned in again, kissing him properly that time and leaving a lipstick stain on his lip.
Freddie let out another snore, and Evie turned away, still straddling him, thinking that they didn't have true love but he opened his eyes with a smirk. He lifted his hands from by his head and placed it on her chin, turning her head to face him and an instant grin appeared on her lips.
He chuckled lightly before he gently guided her face back down, pressing his lips back onto hers once again, uncaring if her lipstick smudged everywhere. She giggled and pulled away, wiping the red lipstick from above his top lip with his thumb, "I love you." Evie blurted out absentmindedly and her eyes widened once she realised what she had said but Freddie only smirked at her confession.
"I love you."
