── .AT EVIE'S 4 HEARTS, Freddie was sat on the ground in the conservatory under the rack of short pink dresses, the fabric tickling the top of his head as he watched Mal and Evie converse in front of him about the recent meeting with Ben's parents and Fairy Godmother.

"Who else knows about the crown and the sceptre?" Evie questioned, sat on a wooden chair in front of Mal, who was stood up to the side.

"No one." Mal chuckled in disbelief, waving her hands about by her sides, "I mean, think about it, people are scared enough as it is." Evie turned in her chair and crossed her legs, propping her elbow up on the back of the chair, her hand rubbing against her forehead, "We have to employ these entirely new security measures."

"Will this delay our bringing over more V.K.'s?" Evie questioned, her eyebrows furrowed towards Mal as Frederic fiddled mindlessly with the hem of the dresses.

"We're talking about closing the barrier for good." Mal admitted, her arms crossed over her chest and her words perked Freddie's ears up, causing him to finally listen properly. He pushed himself up off the stone flooring and towards the glass door, leaning against it with his hands stuffed into his pockets.

"But you said no." Evie spoke, more like a statement than a question, she believed her best-friend wouldn't allow them to close the barrier for good, little did she know that the purple-haired girl was actually the one who suggested it. Mal didn't respond, she only tilted her head slightly, "I mean, the four of us are living the dream here, and we finally get to share that. I mean, what could be more important than that?"

Evie looked over at Freddie, and he nodded with a grin, agreeing with her words although he wasn't listening much. He didn't know what was going on, he was just having a hard time concentrating and taking things seriously, "Yeah. I know. I mean, maybe security or maybe peace of mind for everyone in Auradon." Mal took a seat on the stool opposite Evie as Freddie strolled over to the table behind Evie, admiring all of the pretty accessories that she'd made.

"Is that what they're thinking? And were they seriously thinking that no one will ever go in or out of the Isle ever again?" Evie obliviously questioned and Freddie spun around, placing a hand on the blue-haired beauty's shoulder comfortingly.

"Well, I don't know why you're saying they, I mean, unless Mal wants to be known as a they." Freddie shrugged, and Mal's eyes widened, staring directly at Frederic with a threatening expression. Evie quickly noticed and looked between them both, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Uh, what does he mean by that?" Evie asked Mal, tilting her head slightly and Mal shook her head, not answering her. She was staring at Freddie with a look that said 'i'm gonna kill you' and it honest to God scared Freddie, and he hid behind Evie out of fear, "Mal."

Mal's eyes snapped over to Evie and her expression softened, "I made the suggestion." She shrugged, standing up from the stool and turning around, taking a few steps away. Evie abruptly stood up from her chair, her own eyes wide in shock.

"What?! We'll never get to go back and see our parents, we'll never be able to save those poor kids, we'll never be able to achieve our dreams!" Evie complained, and Mal spun around, shaking her head.

"I know, I'm sorry." Mal placed her hand on her forehead, immediately regretting her decision to propose the idea of closing the barrier for good and as much as she hated Freddie in that moment for snitching, she knew he was unable to lie to Evie, and a part of her was happy about that.

"You're sorry? So, what? You're gonna close the barrier for good and leave all of those children behind?" Evie began to yell, and that was when Freddie backed up out of the conservatory through the glass door leading to the courtyard. Without noise, he managed to leave the room and allow Mal and Evie some space to figure out their differences.

Of course he felt bad for telling Evie and outing Mal, but it had to be done, she couldn't just lie to her best-friend about something like that. He stared at his pointy shoes as he walked along the grass when a high-pitched voice called out, "Oh, my God! It's Frederica!"

Only one person called him by that name, and he spun around with narrowed eyes, staring right over at Dizzy and another girl he didn't know the name of, but he knew she was the daughter of Dr. Facilier. Dizzy sped over with the curly-haired girl following behind, and she practically jumped into Freddie's arms, causing him to yelp.

"Ah, Dizzy! Ow!" The two ended up on the ground and Dizzy continuously pulled away to take a glance at him before she leaned back down, wrapping her arms around him again.

"Oh, I missed you so much, Frederica! I got you something!" Dizzy jumped up and quickly dug into her purse as Frederic slowly pushed himself up, and she pulled out a small crown with a purple 'F' on the front and frilly purple feathers lining the band, "Here! Wear it."

Without consent, Dizzy placed the crown onto Freddie's head and he scrunched his brows, looking over at the unnamed girl, only to receive a giggle in response.

"I wish I had a camera." The girl mumbled and Freddie narrowed his eyes at her, shaking his head in disagreement. Dizzy took a step back to admire him with the girly crown atop his head and she clapped her hands excitedly at the sight.

"What's your name?" Freddie nodded over to her and she placed a hand on her hip, a smirk playing on her face before she raised her free hand, holding it out to him.

"I like you, I'm Celia." She smiled, and as she tilted her head, her little top hat shifted, almost falling off but it seemed to be attached to a headband, keeping it from falling.

"And she doesn't like many, consider yourself one of the lucky ones." Dizzy grinned as the two shook hands and Freddie nodded, acknowledging her words.

"Well, thanks. I like your hair." Freddie pointed at Celia's curls, causing the aforementioned girl to grin from ear-to-ear.

"You're too kind." Celia waved him off, rolling her eyes playfully and the Prince chuckled, his hands stuffed into his pockets. It went silent for just a moment when Frederic remembered what he wanted to ask.

"Oh, have you guys had a tour yet?" He questioned, and both girls' eyes lit up with excitement before they shook their heads in unison. Frederic nodded and held his arms out for them to hold onto, "Well, Princesses... This is Auradon Prep." Freddie guided them through the courtyard and towards the school, he wasn't entirely sure if he was supposed to do that, but he honestly didn't care. And if he wasn't, they'd just have two tours.

"It's so... big!" Dizzy exclaimed with uncertainty in her voice, she wasn't sure how to describe the old-looking but fancy building and Freddie laughed, agreeing with her.

"Yeah... I don't know how to describe it either. It's definitely—" Freddie began but was cut off by Celia.

"In need of a clean!" Celia scrunched up her nose, pointing at the dust lining the doorframe of the entrance to the school and Freddie caught himself falling into a fit of laughter, unable to control himself, "You know, for royalty, I would expect there to be cleaners."
