── .✦ TO SUM THE LAST COUPLE OF HOURS UP, Freddie listened to his instinct and got his loved ones the hell out of there. Jafar didn't know where his daughter was, and he had no idea where he'd start looking first, so without another thought, Freddie ran back to the apartment, grabbed his dad and they all headed off back to Auradon.
It was boring to be honest, it would've been exciting to have some lore for his future children if he ever had any, but he was happy they escaped safely. When they arrived back, Evie had to go to help Ben arrange the new VK's arrivals so it was just Freddie and Rapunzel again.
His father was locked in his dorm as they searched around for Fairy Godmother, she was their only hope and he didn't know why they didn't go to her in the first place. He supposed it was stress that caused him to make such rational decisions that he knew he'd regret in the long run.
Of course, his mother didn't want Fairy Godmother to know that they visited the Isle before going to her and lying was hard for Freddie, especially to those he respected and cared for. Rapunzel and Freddie changed into their normal clothes and the younger Fitzherbert fixed his tie before he knocked on Fairy Godmother's office, putting on the best smile he could muster.
After a few seconds, he heard the sweet lady's voice on the other side of the door, "Come in!" They both shared glances and he pushed the door open, grinning when he saw the woman sat behind her desk. Fairy Godmother's eyes lit up at the sight of the prince and shortly after, she noticed Queen Rapunzel behind him, causing her to jump up out of her chair, rushing around her desk to curtsy, "What a pleasure!"
"Hello, Fairy Godmother." Rapunzel moved in front of her son, curtsying before the older woman. The two giggled together, and Fairy Godmother cleared her throat, putting on her serious face.
"How can I help you?" She looked between the mother and son, waiting patiently for an explanation and her positive expression dropped a little when she noticed their faces, "What's going on...?"
"King Eugene's cursed."

"I'M NOT SURE I CAN DO THIS." Fairy Godmother spoke in a certain tone, speeding towards Frederic's dorm where Eugene was and both Freddie and Rapunzel trailed closely behind the woman.
"I strongly believe you can." Freddie encouraged with a smile and Fairy Godmother looked over her shoulder, smiling appreciatively but she still looked unsure about the whole thing. They reached the dorm and Freddie quickly unlocked it before they all walked in.
Eugene was sat on the edge of his son's bed, staring at the floor in boredom and his head lifted up, looking straight at his wife. His look was unreadable but it was definitely clear that he was relieved to see her, and she smiled at him, hopeful that Fairy Godmother will be able to save him.
"Okay, so, from what you've told me, he's had a curse from evil magic... of course. Hmm..." Fairy Godmother stood beside Eugene in thought, wondering what spell would be best to give the King.
Frederic watched his father's expressions, he had dark circles under his eyes, showing he was tired and his eyebrows were strongly creased as if he was angry. To stop himself from breaking down, he reached down and grabbed onto his mom's hand, nibbling on his bottom lip nervously.
"Got it! You guys might need to leave." Fairy Godmother winced apologetically at the two, and Freddie nodded understandably but Rapunzel refused, taking a step forwards. Freddie's grip on her hand was tight, and he tugged her backwards, opening his dorm door so they could leave.
With one reassuring look, her expression softened and she followed him outside the dorm, closing the door behind her. It was silent for a moment until Rapunzel crossed her arms over her chest, clearing her throat, "So, Evie?"
"Oh, yeah. I think we're dating, it isn't labelled but..." Freddie shrugged with a lovestruck smile on his face, his hands shoved in his pockets as he thought about the blue-haired beauty.
"But...?" She raised an eyebrow at him, tilting her head with an amused smile, trying to distract herself from her husband and attempting to pass the time.
"I love her." The words flew out of his mouth as he stared down at his shoes and his eyes widened when he realised what he had admitted in front of his mother out of all people. Rapunzel saw the shocked look on his face and she chuckled, shaking her head.
"You'll have to invite her over to Corona for a family lunch or something." She suggested, nudging his shoulder with her own and he looked over at her with a smile, relieved that she didn't tease him. Suddenly, the door opened again and Fairy Godmother appeared in the doorway, grinning excitedly at the both of them.
"He's back to normal. Don't let this happen again, it was lovely seeing you, Your Highness." Fairy Godmother curtsied once more before she practically flew away, clearly eager to get going somewhere in particular. Freddie's eyes were brought from Fairy Godmother back to his parents when he heard his mother let out a cry of happiness, running over to her husband.
The two embraced tightly and it was like as if a bright light shone into Frederic's eyes as he watched his parents hug so lovingly. Love was so complicated, but he understood it in some way, he knew that he loved Evie and he was planning on telling her... at some point.
Eugene eyes opened, his orbs glossed over with tears as he looked over at his son, a grin immediately crossing his face. He held out his arm and Rapunzel seemed to feel his movement, turning a little to look at her son.
Without hesitation, Freddie rushed over and wrapped his arms firmly around his parents, tears falling from his eyes, "I'm so sorry." The King muttered into his wife's hair, directing the apology towards the both of them but mostly Frederic.
"Don't apologise, love. It wasn't your fault." Rapunzel whispered through her happy sobs against his chest, and she quickly pulled away, worried about ruining his shirt with her mascara-infused tears.
Freddie chuckled and swiftly wiped under his eyes before he stuffed his hands in his pocket, looking between both of his parents in glee, "Uh... I have to go."
"Go where?" Rapunzel asked, her eyebrows scrunched as she looked over at her son, her arm linked with Eugene's. Freddie stared back at her, his eyes widened as if to gesture that she already knew, and it took her a few moments before she giggled with a nod, "Oh! Get going then."
Freddie rushed forward with a grin, kissing both of their cheeks and he ran out of the room before Eugene could even process what was happening. He looked down at his wife with a confused expression, causing her to giggle again, "Where's he going?"
"To his one true love." Rapunzel responded sappily, but she didn't care about that, she was so over the moon that her son had found his other half, the one person he needed. She constantly hated herself for not being able to make the time for him, to talk to him and comfort him. But, now he had that person to do those things for her, taking the hate slightly away from herself.
AME SPEAKS !!
—— Hiii, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm struggling a little with my writing lately, so yeah, there isn't much of a storyline or really any flavour at all right now but I will definitely come back and edit it in the future.
—— Also, about the updates, they might be a little later than usual because of the struggles with my writing. I'm really sorry about the inconveniences, but I'll definitely try harder to add more spice to the book! Thank you all for 5k too, I love you all so much. xoxo
