   ✧˖*°࿐𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐖 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐁𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐀𝐒 𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐑, 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧..

   That's she ever talked about, that's all she ever dreamed of, walking on the lands of earth to see and discover new things.

"Wouldn't it be wonderful down there?"

".... Sure."

   He utters. He didn't pay much attention about her talking about the planet for he loved this moment with her. There was no interruptions, not a single dust of breeze that blown through yet, it was so lovey.

   Till they heard foot steps, they both turned around and see...—

"Y/n!"

   Maria calls out. 

   A tired cat with droopy eyes looks ahead, they were limping of course, but gets back up and walks to Maria and Shadow with a small smile.

   Shadow though, grumbles and glares at Y/n. Already feeling the bitterness again. Maria walks up to Y/n with small worry because how they're limping while walking.

"Oh–Professor had me do a exercise for testing, I'm pretty sure he's thinking of calling over Shadow.."

   They lied.

   The professor actually ran testes by cutting their wrist and insert a small metal pellet, the reason why is to 'check on their vitals more and have deeper research. Y/n was tired by how much the pain hurt, how much they squirm and hissed at the needles...

   But they all believe it's for Maria, they stayed up and stayed strong for Maria...

   What they didn't know though as Maria worries over them,.... Shadow can tell they were lying.

   But he wonders why?

    Why were they lying?

   Why was he worried again that they're lying....

   But the hedgehog just huffs and walks to the cat.

"You should sleep."

"I'm fine though! Honestly–"

"Shadow is right Y/n."

   Maria agrees with Shadow. Y/n's eyes softens over Shadow concern, already feeling warmth on their cheeks and chest, with small pattering of their heart beat. 

"Okay..."

"I'll take you to your room because you might forget which way to go."

   Shadow roughly grabs their arm, making them wince at the pain that started to run through their wrist. 

"Shadow please don't grab too roughly–"

"I don't care."

   Y/n flinches at his harsh tone. The pain in their wrist wasn't the only thing hurting, as a aching pain stings their heart...

   As Shadow still holds their wrist they make it to their room, when the door opens Shadow lets go.

   Y/n rubs the pains on their wrist.

"Now go and sleep like you always do."

"..."

   Shadow only grumbles and nudges them forward. Y/n winces again but walks in, their tail curling around their leg and look back 

  Before Shadow turns around a hand grabs his arm.

   He stopped and turns to see Y/n,... Holding his arm...

"Why are taking me to bed?"

"Because you're tired and you agre—"

"Do you.... Not want me around Maria? Is that why you treated me harshly during these months?..."

   Shadow was shocked? Surprised? He didn't know... Of course all those were true what Y/n said but, why did hearing those made him feel so bad?

   Y/n's eyes were glossy, like they were about to cry... Their grip on Shadows arm just only loosens seeing Shadows reaction when they said those words.

"Why do you hate me?"

".... I don't hate you."

"Yes you do."

"I don't."

"You're always so bitter to me–"

"I JUST DON'T LIKE YOU!!"

   He yells out. A yell that echos through the halls quietly and soon died... 

   He said it.

   He said what he always had in his mind when he saw Y/n..

   Then suddenly more questions hits his mind... 

   How come he felt so guilty? How come that felt like it was a lie.....

   And how come he felt saddened he said that....
