"๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐, ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ข๐ฑ ๐ข๐ญ
๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง?"
WE HAD SPEND A WHILE COMING UP WITH A PLAN. Night eventually had arrived as the three boys and I, gathered on John B's room. All of us making sure that Kie, wouldn't hear anything we were planning.
But I was pretty sure that the girl, had left already. She was way too angry to stay over at, The Chรขteau. I felt bad for both of the girls, I know they have their differences but I just wished they would get along once again.
They both hurt it each other with the things they said, I just hope that the boy's plan work out.
John B: "So, what do you guys think?"
JJ: "I think it's a great, but are you sure that they won't kill each other?" -he asked, holding in his laugh as he stared at, John B.
June: "True, those two hold a lot of grudge towards each other. How are we gonna avoid them from fighting without us being there?"
John B: "They won't argue, trust me. They'll be fine, and everything will be okay."
I only stayed silent for a while, as the three other spoke among each other. I stood up from the small bed, approaching the wooden door to head outside.
Pope: "Hey, you okay?" -he questioned, his footsteps quickly approaching behind me.
June: "Yeah, I'm fine. I just keep thinking about something in specific, don't worry."
Pope: "They won't kill each other, I don't think they would." -he reassured, smiling after finishing his sentence.
June: "That's not what I'm worried about, it's something else."
The boy's eyebrows frowned, as he pulled me by my wrist towards John B's living room.
Pope: "What is up? Talk to me." -he whispered, helping me sit down on the living room's couch.
June: "You know, I've been thinking about, Dad. There's something I haven't been completely honest about."
I glanced over to the boy, noticing his confused expression almost yelling for answers. My hands kept sweating over how nervous I felt, only making me take a couple of breaths to continue speaking.
June: "I sometimes get this weird feeling, you know, about my dad's death." -I mentioned, Pope, nodded as I explained.
Pope: "What type of feeling?"
The boy's eyes were plastered on me, almost desperate for an answer that I couldn't let out. Something was telling me that if I said, I would probably regret it.
Pope: "June, what is it?" -he asked, placing his hand on my shoulder.
June: "It's nothing, um, I don't know. I think I'm probably just really tired."
I quickly stood up from the couch, making my way towards John B's room once again. Only to stumble across the two other boys, hiding in the hallway.
I knew they were trying to hear Pope's and I, conversation. The both of them only looked at me with widened eyes, making me cross my arms slightly annoyed.
JJ: "Are you guys mackin' each other?" -he asked, only to receive a slap from John B, behind his neck.
JJ: "Ow! Dude, what?! is just a serious question!"
John B: "They're not mackin' each other, dumbass." -he hissed, walking towards me.
My eyes looked over to John B, who stood in front of me. The brunette boy's expression had changed to a worried one, as he took a hold of my shoulders.
June: "What is it?" -I asked, looking over to the ground.
John B: "What's going on? Why is your mood suddenly changed?"
JJ: "Did something happened?"
June: "Guys, I'm fine. I just think I need to get some rest. Is it okay if I go to sleep early?" -I replied, making John B, nod as he guided me to the other room.
We entered the small room, everything was all messed up. Pretty sure because it was the room where JJ, sometimes slept in. It had that same herbal smell that the Cameron's home, had.
June: "I got a question." -I mentioned, glancing over to the boy, as he closed the door for privacy.
John B: "Yeah, what's up?"
June: "What is that smell?" -I questioned, only noticing how John B, started to laugh.
My expression was only screaming pure confusion as the boy, held onto his stomach for how much he was laughing.
June: "It's not funny, John B. What is it?"
John B: "You actually don't know what it is?" -he asked, trying to catch his breath after laughing.
I only shook my head side to side, looking around the room to see if I could find what the smell was.
John B: "Ask JJ, he'll give you the answer to it. I'm gonna go to sleep, night." -he replied, quickly heading out of the room.
June: "John B! Shit."
I sighed still filled with questions rooming through my brain, only making me fall down to the bed. I made sure to turn the light off, once again resting gently on the small bed.
For a while I tried to catch my sleep, unfortunately nothing was working. The voices of the other three boys, were no longer echoing around the house. This letting me know I could sneak outside for a little bit, trying to catch some air alone for once.
I stood up quickly from the bed, heading over to the small window of the room. Slowly opening without waking any of the boys up, the window was my only way to head out. This due to the living room being used by JJ and Pope, to sleep in. They would've in fact heard me heading out, if I went through the front door.
Thankfully I was able to open the window, quickly jumping out to run straight to the backyard. The only light being produced outside was the one from the dock, John B, always leaves it on at night. I looked around my surroundings, making sure no one was around so I could head straight to the dock.
Later on, taking a sit on the wooden bridge to place my legs inside the water. I kept thinking of what I was about to say to Pope, a couple of hours ago. Part of me wanted to say it, but I didn't wanted to sound insane. I just wish that it isn't true, that I'm actually just thinking too deep into it.
My thoughts suddenly got interrupted by a hand taking a hold of my shoulders, making me quickly turn to face whoever it was. It was JJ, which I was quick to noticed. The blond boy, looked down at me with a concerned expression formed across his face. I only sighed, slightly feeling sad over being found faster than I thought.
JJ: "Everything okay?" -he asked, rubbing my shoulder gently.
I only nodded, moving aside so the boy, could take a sit beside me.
JJ: "Why are you out here alone, June?"
June: "I don't know, I just couldn't sleep. There's too many things rooming through my brain right now, it's getting worse each day."
I explained as I looked over the distance, the boy's eyes darted to me making me tense up. I glanced over to him, only to notice his sadden expression.
June: "What's wrong with you? Why did you came out here?" -I wondered, making the blond one, look down.
He seemed to think about something, since I noticed a slight smile appearing on his face as he looked down to the wooden floor.
JJ: "I knew you lied about feeling tired, you didn't seem sleepy at all."
June: "Okay, and?"
JJ: "And I stayed awake to make sure you wouldn't sneak out." -he replied, only to look at me with raised eyebrows.
June: "How did you know?"
He only let out a small laugh, later on glancing back towards, The Chรขteau.
JJ: "First, you weren't as quiet as you thought you were. Second, I could say that I sometimes do the same." -he explained, pointing towards the window I sneaked out through.
June: "What do you mean about the second one?"
JJ: "I've used the same excuse you used to avoid talking to someone about something, later on you feel guilty about that lie and need space."
JJ: "So, you try to get some fresh air or something and sneak out for it." -he finished, slowly making his smile disappear from his face to a saddened expression.
No words were coming out of my mouth after his sentence, he was right. I was feeling guilty over lying to John B and everybody else, about me feeling okay when I'm not. I just feel so lost here, I feel distant from many things.
I came here with a purpose, but that purpose changed completely. I lost my Mom, I lost my Dad, and now I practically don't have a life besides running from someone. I do want to help and find the treasure, but something tells me this would go downhill...just like it happened with, Dad.
I'm not ready to lose someone else again, I don't want to lose, John B. I keep repeating that over and over again in my head, which hasn't stop since what happened at midsummers. From the first hours of that day to the last hours of that day, I felt terrified for, John B.
JJ: "June?"
June: "What?" -I asked, startled by the sudden touch I felt on my shoulder.
JJ: "What aren't you telling us?"
June: "What do you mean?"
JJ: "I know you're hiding something." -he whispered, standing up from the wooden floor.
I took a second to try and come up with something to say, but I couldn't. The boy, only grabbed my hand to help me stand up, making me stand in front of him.
JJ: "Please, just talk to me."
June: "JJ, there's nothing to talk about. I'm okay, I'm just sort of scared for what could happen with this whole treasure hunt thing. -I explained.
Part of my sentence was true but not completely, there was other things going on in my mind.
JJ: "I just don't want you to feel like you can't talk to any of us, you're one of us. June, you can trust me." -he reassured, placing both of his hands on my shoulders.
I only glanced at the boy with tears accumulated in my eyes, but suddenly I noticed the boy's eyes suddenly darting behind me.
June: "What's wrong?" -I asked, looking behind me to see John B, glancing over to us confused.
He began to approach our way, JJ's hands letting go of my shoulders quickly.
John B: "Am I interrupting something?" -he questioned, standing in front of the both of us.
June: "No, I was just leaving. I thought I felt nauseous, so I came over here." -I lied, proceeding to head away from the pair.
The two of them just stood there awkwardly, watching how I left the area quickly.
________________________________
The next morning was sort of awkward, we once again had woken up early. Everyone getting ready to head to the town's docks, beginning to start our plan.
We all had arrived to our location and were just waiting for Pope and Kie, to arrive. I only sat at the edge of the boat, beside me was Sarah, who kept asking questions about what exactly we were doing.
June: "Sarah Elizabeth Cameron, if you ask me one more time what we're doing...I'm gonna slap you." -I snapped, pulling her hair slightly making her sigh.
Sarah: "I just want to know what exactly is my purpose here. Didn't Kie, said she did not agree?"
June: "I'll explain it very soon, the boys are just fixing something up."
I then stood up, heading over to the cockpit to meet up with the boys.
June: "John B, we need to do it now. Sarah, it's beginning to get suspicious." - I whispered, grabbing both of the boy's shoulders.
The two of them looked at each other, continuing to head outside. They walked towards Sarah, who seemed to get confused after seeing JJ, standing beside her.
Sarah: "Uumm, hi?"
John B: "Hi!" -he said, taking a hold of Sarah, to begin to pull her towards the small basement the boat had.
Sarah: "John B, what are you doing?! Let me go!"
June: "I promise you Sarah, you'll be fine!" -I yelled, as the girl was gently placed down.
Sarah: "Let me out! Are you guys crazy?!"
The sound of the small door being punched could be heard around the space, all of us just stared at each other with proud smiles. Our third part of the mission was accomplished, thankfully.
In the distance, I could see Pope and Kie, already pulling up near our boat. Quickly making me push the two boys inside the cockpit, to continue our plan without failing.
June: "Just act natural, okay?" -I whispered, looking down at the alternator of the boat.
John B, only nodded in agreement. As JJ, on the other hand began to act as if he was trying to fix the alternator's "problem". Later on, we heard rapid footsteps approach our way.
Kie: "What happened?"
The girl's voice caught our attention, only making us glance up to see, the curly head.
JJ: "Uh, the alternator's, uh, not alternating anymore." -he replied, making John B, shake his head side to side.
John B: "It's not charged."
June: "Yeah, we've been here for hours trying to get it to start, but we couldn't." -I mentioned, sighing filled with exhaustion.
Kie: "Did you check the plugs?"
JJ: "No. no, you should check 'em." -he requested, standing up quickly.
John B: "Yeah."
John B and I, doing the same as well. Making sure we followed each other's lead without being suspicious, since the girl was already looking at us weirdly.
JJ, passed the screwdriver towards the girl. Everyone just awkwardly stared over to her, as she began to approach the alternator.
JJ: "Give it a whirl."
June: "Good luck, Kie." -I mentioned, beginning to head out with the boys.
Kie: "You guys are useless."
John B: "Sorry about that."
The three of us began to run off, leaving Kie, behind who had began to ask us something I couldn't hear.
JJ: "Go, go, go, go." -he whispered, pushing me gently in front of him.
John B: "Sayonara!"
June: "Sorry!" -I apologized, heading straight to the edge of the boat.
We all jumped quickly, the three of us swimming towards the other boat Pope, had brought for us.
The shouting from both of the girls could be heard on the distance, beginning to approach near us.
June: "Are we 100% sure this is a good idea? Like, am I going to get killed after this?" -I asked, looking up to the boat.
Later on to see both girls staring down at us, they were looking completely angry. JJ, only laughed as he looked at the two girls. We climbed the boat up, eventually getting to sit down to take a better glimpse of them.
Sarah: "Are you serious?!" -she yelled, running behind Kie, to look over to us.
Kie: "Are you joking?! Get your asses back here!"
June: "She's totally gonna kill us, guys." -I whispered, receiving a nod from Pope, who only stared at the two girls with widened eyes.
John B: "We can't, not until you two figure it out."
Kie: "I will kill every single one of you!"
June: "Oh shit, she actually confessed it." -I mumbled, looking over to John B, who only laughed.
Sarah: "Y-you can't just leave!"
Pope: "There's food in the cabin, and JJ, rolled a blunt." -he mentioned, all of us quickly placing our thumbs up.
JJ: "Hydroponic!"
June: "I also let some board games, candy and pjs for you girls!" -I said, smiling at the two girls who only death stared me.
We all noticed how they began to take their shirts off, letting us know it was time to go already and quickly.
Sarah: "Wait!"
June: "Pope, go faster!" -I shouted, patting his shoulder rapidly.
Pope: "Godspeed!"ย
Behind us we heard the water splashing, making me turn to see Sarah, trying to swim towards us but failed miserably.
Sarah: "Wait! John B, you asshole!"
John B: "Love you, guys! Bye!"

I had left home for a while, making sure I got stuff for tomorrow. I was accompanied by JJ, who had been checking the beer area. He had stayed on that area for a long time, it was getting me annoyed already.
June: "Hey, what the hell are you staring at so hard?" -I whispered, approaching the boy.
He stayed looking at the fridge with all the beers inside, seeming to not notice my presence beside him still.
June: "JJ!" -I exclaimed, pushing him side to side.
JJ: "Oh. Sorry, what?"
June: "What the hell are you looking for so hard?" -I asked, making him laugh.
JJ: "I'm looking for John B's favorite beers, they ran out of them I think."
June: "Okay? We didn't came here to look for beers, remember?" -I queried, starting to walk towards the reception to pay for the stuff.
JJ: "What? What do you mean?"
June: "We can't get drunk on an important mission."
The blond one, followed behind quickly, standing beside me as I handled the stuff to the woman. I looked around the area, noticing a girl outside of the store. Her expression was filled with sadness and exhaustion, I could see it from far away.
June: "Hey, I'll be right back. Here's the money, just give it to her." -I mentioned, handling the boy, some of the cash to quickly run outside.
The girl, had sat down on the concrete. She didn't seem to notice how people were staring, I only felt horrible for her.
I was quick to noticed soon after who the girl was, my mouth quickly dropped as soon as I saw the her face clearer.
June: "Bailey?" -I mumbled, heading rapidly towards the black haired girl.
I placed my hand on her shoulder, but she seemed to be confused over my sudden motion.
June: "It's me, June Routledge. We used to do flower crowns together at the beach, remember?" -I asked, slightly giving the girl a smile.
Bailey: "I don't remember, I'm sorry."
June: "That's okay, we were really little to be fair. What are you doing here? Your skin is very hot, how long have you been under the sun for?" -I questioned, beginning to stand the girl up.
Bailey: "I can't remember, I just feel really tired." -she mumbled, loosing her balance shortly after I stood her up.
June: "Oh God, you're drunk. I need to take you somewhere safe, come on."
I proceeded to walk near the Twinkie, which John B had allowed JJ and I, to use. Behind me I could hear someone rapidly approach us, only making me look behind to see JJ, with a confused expression.
JJ: "Who the hell is this?" -he asked, opening the back door of the Twinkie.
June: "No time for questions, I need to take her home really quick."
He only sighed, but rapidly ran towards the driver side to turn the van's engine on.
June: "It's okay, Bailey. I'll take you to my house, and hand you some help there. Is that okay with you?" -I questioned, resting the girl down on the backseats.
She only nodded in response, allowing me to close the door and head back inside the van.
June: "Drive fast, JJ. I don't know what's going on with her, I think she's probably low on iron or something."
JJ: "Who the hell is she? How do you know so many people...especially hot girls." -he whispered, making me roll my eyes.
June: "Shut up and drive, this is an emergency."
JJ: "Alright, sorry." -he mumbled, continuing to drive faster.
________________________________
[POV: Bailey]
My eyes slowly opened, only catching glimpses of a wooden ceiling on top of me. All of my surroundings were unknown, I couldn't remember too much stuff. Only thing I could remember was me being allowed to leave the police station, unfortunately without Elena and no signs of Barry, anywhere.
I was suddenly startled by the sound of whispering coming from behind me, only to make me turn around quickly. I was quick to spot three people looking at me, their eyes widened after realizing I was awake.
Bailey: "Who the hell are you? Where am I?" -I asked, grabbing my head which was hurting pretty badly.
A brunette boy, began to approach me with his hands lifted up. I only glanced at him confused, but noticed on his hand a pill.
John B: "Hi, I'm John B. We thought you weren't going to wake up, I was starting to worry." -he explained, passing me the small pill with a cup of water soon after.
Bailey: "You're that guy, the one that was on the news a couple of months ago."
He nodded in agreement, sitting down in front of me awkwardly.
John B: "Yeah, here. This is for the headache, we figured you drank alcohol...a lot."
Bailey: "Sorry, I'm just kinda going through a lot." -I apologized, taking a hold of the two things the boy, had handled me.
I drank the pill quickly, exchanging glances with the rest of the other people on the room.
Bailey: "I know you." -I mentioned, pointing at the blond boy, who only stared at me filled with concerned.
Bailey: "You're JJ, right?"
JJ: "Yeah, how do you know me?" -he asked, crossing his arm while exchanging looks with the brunette girl beside him.
Bailey: "Your father, he goes to my brother's home a lot."
JJ: "Oh, yeah. Wait, what's your name again?"
I couldn't help but noticed how fast the boy's expression changed, this after mentioning his father. It was making me wonder if I said something bad, or made him uncomfortable.
Bailey: "Bailey Martin, I'm Barry's sister." -I replied, everybody else automatically widened their eyes by my response.
John B: "Wait, really?"
Bailey: "Yeah, I'm not like him, I promise. In fact, I'm trying to be the better version of him."
We all grew silent for a while, the girl just continued to fidget with her hands. As for the two other boys, they only looked around the room awkwardly. I began to try to stand up from the couch, but was quickly helped by the brunette girl, who panicked as she saw me trying to stand alone.
Unknown girl: "Hey, hey, hey. Be careful, you might feel dizzy." -she commented, beginning to take a hold of both of my hands to help me.
Bailey: "Thanks for the help, all of you. But I can't stay, I need to go back to the police station."
She only glanced at me with a worried expression, almost fearing to say "yes" to me so I could leave. I only stared at the small necklace she had on her, making me remember the girl quickly.
Bailey: "Wait, are you that girl I use to call, JR?" -I asked, the girl quickly nodding in agreement with a bright smile.
John B: "You know my sister?
Bailey: "Yeah, June, right?" -I remarked, smiling at the girl.
June: "Yes, you remember me now?"
Bailey: "Of course, I'm sorry I didn't before. I've been so distracted, I keep forgetting important stuff." -I explained, receiving a nod from the girl.
She then walked over to a desk in the small living room, everybody else just watched how she typed something down on a small paper.
June: "Here, that's my number." -she mentioned, passing the piece of paper to me.
June: "If you ever need someone to talk to or hang out with, you can call me."
Bailey: "Thank you, I'll make sure I do." -I replied, beginning to head outside of the wooden home.
The group followed behind, making me turn to face them confused.
John B: "Uuhh, you need a ride?" -he asked, automatically reminding me that I came here with their help.
Bailey: "Oh shit, sorry. Is it okay if one of you guys drive me to the station?"
John B: "Yeah, sure. One second, I'll be right back." -he reassured, quickly running towards the insides of the home once again.
A couple of voices came from inside, as the rest of us waited outside in complete silent. I looked up towards the home's stairs, noticing another boy, coming down with, John B.
John B: "Here, this is Pope, he can drive you to the station." -he grinned, pointing towards the boy, who seemed to be looking at me in shock.
Bailey: "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm-"
Pope: "Bailey Martin, yeah I know. We used to study together, Pope Heyward." -he interjected, quickly stretching his hand towards me.
Bailey: "You seem familiar, maybe that's why."
Pope: "Here, come on. Let me drive you, I'll be back guys." -he assured, the rest of the group just smiled back as they waved towards me.
It didn't took us long to arrive at the police station, but what did took us long was to head out of the car. We had talked for a very long time, catching up about our lives. The boy, was very excited to speak to me but I was just very nervous, I hadn't talk to anyone about my life like I was doing with, Pope. He's a very outgoing person, which makes it easier for me to speak.
Pope: "Hey, do you want me to come down with you? I mean, I know how hard it is to go inside a police station alone."
I glanced outside towards the small building, thinking if I should allow him to come with me or not. I was just scared over what he would think, I don't want him to think I'm so sort of bad person or anything like that. He doesn't even know about me being a mom, how am I supposed to tell him that all of a sudden?
Bailey: "Uuhh no, it's fine. I'm just gonna pick up my brother, and that's it. Thanks for driving me here though, also tell your friends thanks too."
He only nodded as I headed out of the car, proceeding to wait for the boy, to drive off.
Sheriff Peterkin: "I see you arrived, what took you so long?"
I sighed as I heard the woman's voice behind me, only to turn around to see Elena, on the woman's arms. My mouth opened widely, making me quickly run towards the pair.
Bailey: "Oh my God, how? I mean, literally how?" -I asked, grabbing Elena, to give her a small kiss on her forehead.
Sheriff Peterkin: "I might've gotten some help from someone, probably a person you know."
I only glanced at the woman, confused. Only to see her looking towards the distance, making me turn around. As I did, I noticed someone looking over to us.
A man, who automatically seemed familiar from the distance. My smile faded away as I noticed who it was, almost making me lose my balance as I realized.
Bailey: "What is he doing here?" -I whispered, looking at the woman, with teary eyes.
Sheriff Peterkin: "He's going to be adopting you, Bailey."
A scoff came out of my mouth, only for me to rapidly walk over to the man. He seemed to notice my angry expression, making this one sigh as I stepped in front of him.
James: "Thought you would've been happy to see me." -he mentioned, as I rolled my eyes by his comment.
Bailey: "What are you doing here?"
James: "I'm your uncle, Bailey. I decided to adopt you, be a better person than I was before."
I heard Sheriff Peterkin, approach behind. This allowing me to hand Elena, to the woman. She took her quickly, making me use that as an opportunity to punch James, harshly. A couple of people stared at the scene in complete shock, while James, only grunted in pain.
Bailey: "I'm sorry, James. But I'm not accepting that at all, I'm not gonna be living in the same household as someone who completely abandoned their family."
Bailey: "You left me and Barry, completely alone with, Aunt Wanda. What made you think we deserved that?!" -I shouted, pushing the man, back aggressively.
James: "Bailey, calm down. I didn't wanted to do that, I was just making things worse at home. You know that, I know you do."
The man, had taken a hold of my shoulders. His nose beginning to bleed, as he spoke to me. The crying from Elena, making me turn to face her. I quickly noticed Peterkin, she was staring in complete shock at the two of us.
Bailey: "Sheriff, is there not someone else? Please, I don't want to do this with him." -I pleaded, only receiving a "no" as a response.
I sighed, glaring at the man, who stood behind me patiently. I took a hold of Elena, beginning to place her in her car seat, that was attached to the back seats of the vehicle. Later on, closing the door to enter the car myself. Leaving the pair outside, both of them awkwardly staring at each other in complete silence.
I was in a situation where I lost many important stuff, I lost but found my path again. But there's still things out there I haven't been able to find, my brother and my happiness. I'm grateful to have Elena, back again. But I don't feel happy, I want Barry, to at least find a good path in his life. I just want a normal life, away from the problems I've been facing my whole entire life.

[POV: June]
The insides of our home were completely silent, we all decided to rest letting the slow hours pass. All of us were practically praying for our plan to work. Sarah and Kie, are stubborn girls, they never want to be in the wrong. The silent around had made me more anxious, so I decided to go out to the dock which thankfully was a good decision.
I was currently checking out some of Dad's old books, his writing was beautiful. He knew how to use the right words all the time, I just wish I could tell him so many things right now. My feelings, my thoughts and all of those stupid stuff rooming through my brain. Something I always remember was him bragging about how good of a talker he was, he knew how to make someone smile or laugh about his stupid jokes.
I never agreed when he told me, but truth is he was actually right. Big John, was the best talker ever, he truly knew what to say or do in any situation.
My thoughts were interrupted after hearing a couple of footsteps approach behind. This making me turn to see, JJ. He was walking up to me on the dock I was currently sitting at.
JJ: "Watcha got there?" -he asked, taking a seat beside me.
June: "Just some of Dad's old books, he had a bunch of poems written in here."
He smiled after hearing what I mentioned, peeking slightly to see what was written.
JJ: "I didn't know Big John, was a poem writer."
June: "Me neither, I guess it was his secret talent or something like that." -I replied, laughing after handling him the small book.
The sun had began to fall down, the birds chirped loudly through the small woods beside the home. Everything felt comforting, this home felt comforting. I took a look at JJ's face, noticing his bruises once again.
June: "Can I ask you something?"
The boy looked over to me, nodding in agreement without exchanging any words with me.
June: "Where do you got those bruises from? I mean, yeah the fight with Rafe, and his two other friends might've done it."
June: "But, I clearly remember you not having those." -I finished, pointing at some of the other bruises going down to his neck.
I was quick to notice how his eyes got teary as soon as I finished. I adjusted the way I was sitting better to face him, this so I could take a look at him in a more comfortable way.
June: "JJ, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. That wasn't my intention at all, is there anything I could do?"
JJ: "Everything's fine, June. There's nothing wrong, I don't want to talk about this now." -he replied, quickly standing up from the dock.
I sighed as I watched him leave, this all made me feel guilty. I don't want him to hate me now for this. I stood up from the wooden floor as well, following the boy close behind.
John B: "Leave him, June."
The brunette one whispered, stepping in front of me to stop me from following, JJ.
June: "Why is he like that? What happened to him, John B?" -I asked, crossing my arms as my brain began to get flooded with concern for the blond boy.
John B: "Nothin' is wrong with JJ, he's going to be okay."
I sighed as he finished, embracing him into a hug to try and calm myself down.
John B: "What's wrong?"
June: "I just feel so worried, sometimes I feel like there's many things going on at once." -I responded, hearing the boy sighing.
He then grabbed my shoulders gently, pushing me back to take a look at my face.
John B: "We'll work things out, Juney. I promise you that, just trust me." -he whispered, only receiving a nod from me.

As I walked back inside The Chรขteau, I noticed Pope, asleep on the couch. I turned the living room's light off, making sure I was quiet so I wouldn't wake the boy, up.
After my short conversation with John B, he mentioned that he was gonna go clean theย Twinkie, for tomorrow. I decided it was best to go to sleep since there was nothing else to do, my body felt drained. I felt as if I had run a whole marathon or something, I didn't knew why exactly though.
I took a hold of the door handle, entering the small bedroom slowly. As I turned around I noticed JJ, asleep on the bed making me frown my eyebrows as I noticed him.
June: "JJ? What are you doing here?" -I whispered, approaching the boy, quickly.
JJ: "I didn't have anywhere else to go."
June: "Can you look at me?" -I asked, as I noticed how he was speaking with his eyes closed.
He didn't respond or open his eyes, making me walk over to the bed to sit beside him. I started to shake him side to side gently, trying to get him to wake up.
June: "JJ, open your eyes for a quick second."
He moved my hand away, pulling me towards to bed to rest beside him.
JJ: "Just go to sleep, dumbass." -he mumbled, slightly laughing.
June: "If John B, sees you on the same bed as me, he will kill you 1000%."
JJ: "There's nothing wrong with two people sleeping on the same bed, besides we're just friends."
I looked at him once again, seeing how red the corner of his eyes were. It seemed as if he was crying, it made me instantly grab his face to take a better look at him.
June: "Why were you crying?" -I whispered, opening his eyes with my fingers.
JJ: "I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't stop crying, June."
June: "Do you want to talk about it or?"
JJ: "No, just go to sleep beside me. Please?" -he replied, this time opening his eyes to glance at me.
I stared at his blue eyes for a while, somehow mesmerized by how pretty they looked under the small bit of moonlight entering through the window. He seemed to noticed me looking at him, installing making him smile.
June: "Why are you smiling?" -I asked, quickly glancing down slightly embarrassed.
JJ: "Because you look pretty."
June: "I look like a mess." -I replied, laughing over his comment.
JJ: "The prettiest mess."
I glanced up to look at the boy, once again. Only seeing a small smile on his face, his eyes were almost glowing over how happy he seemed. I couldn't help but somehow get red over the way he was looking at me.
June: "Aren't you tired?" -I asked, quickly changing the subject.
JJ: "I'm fine, don't worry about me."
He sat up, right in front of me. Almost inches away from each other, this making me start to fidget with my necklace quickly.
June: "You know what? I'm gonna go outside to tell John B, to go to sleep." -I mentioned, proceeding to stand up from the bed.
As I was doing so, I felt JJ's hand grab my wrist quickly. Pulling me back towards the bed, I only stared at him with widened eyes.
June: "What's happen-"
He suddenly pulled me closer, this time placing his lips on top of mine. Everything happened so fast that I froze, almost in shock over what was currently happening. He slid his hand through my hair, pulling me closer to him as he did. He then quickly pushed me back, letting me finally breathe.
JJ: "We shouldn't do this." -he whispered, standing up from the bed.
June: "I'm sorry, I should've pulled back. I don't know what happened, JJ."
JJ: "I need to go, please don't tell John B, about this." -he begged, his voice tone came out hoarse over how breathless he was.
I only nodded in agreement, seeing how he grabbed his cap and lighter from the night table. Proceeding to head out of the room as quick as possible, I only stared at a corner of the room in shock.
Something kept telling me to run back towards him, but at the same time I knew it was probably not a good idea. Is he trying to make me feel guilty of something? What is going on? Does he like me? Do I like him?
