9 MONTHS AGO, I used to say I felt happy even though deeply I wish my life would've been different. I prayed, every single time I could for my mother, to have a change of heart.

To allow me to be free, let me meet my brother, who I can't remember at all over how young I was when I last saw him. My life is a whole mess, I always end up being alone over how much mom, goes out to have drinks or work her stupid job which I have never understood.

A couple days ago, I decided I got too tired of everything. I miss my father, and I need to know what it's happening. Why isn't he answering any of my calls or messages? I want to get to know my brother, how is his life like?

Well, I'm a couple of steps from figuring it out. Who would've thought that I would've come here because of this situation, I wish I could feel happy that I'm here. But unfortunately the only thought rooming through my brain is if something bad happened.

Outer Banks, hasn't change that much. It has that same spark it always has had when you walk through the different docks across the small island.

You receive different types of stares from the people, some are welcoming and the others just scream judgement. Most of the people around the area I was currently at was filled with pogues.

The war between the kooks and pogues has always been so annoying to me. They all act like children on a kindergarten playground, not just the teens but the adults.

I've only had two friends from the kook area, which I haven't seen or talked to since the last time I was here. Those two being Sarah Cameron and Kayla Thornton, we were very close but after those 9 months passed I haven't heard of them since.

Both of them are very known girls on Outer Banks, their parents are one of the richest people currently living in the small island. I don't know what they saw on me, they instantly decided to talk to me when I played on a small park beside the beach.

Heyward: "This your first time on Outer Banks?"

Bobby Heyward, met him many times before but he never seems to remember me. I've always been so interested on working the same thing as him, never got the opportunity obviously due to me always leaving.

June: "Uuhh no, this isn't. I haven't visited the island in a while."

June: "We've actually met before, a couple of times." -I said, taking a hold of my fingers nervously fidgeting with them.

I sometimes struggle to speak to people, for some reason I get too scared or nervous to build a conversation. Which is probably the reason why I only have two friends, who don't speak to me anymore actually.

Heyward: "Oh really? What's your name? I'm really sorry, it's kinda hard remembering people's names out here." -the man asked.

He was currently making me sign the visitor papers, which they didn't have before.

June: "My name is June Routledge, you probably know my Dad." -I smiled, slowly looking up at him.

I was quick to notice how his smile faded, I knew instantly something was up. I began to worry, not knowing if I should find out what happened with him. I didn't wanted to panic in front of Heyward, it's too embarrassing.

June: "I finished signing my papers, is there anything else I need to know?" -I mentioned, passing the papers back to the tall man.

He proceeded to grab them, evading to look at me which made me more scared. I couldn't stop overthinking, I was worried.

Heyward: "Welcome to Outer Banks, stay safe out there June." -the man replied, almost forcing a smile on his face.

As I was about to leave, I quickly heard how the bell rang behind me. I knew he did it to catch my attention again, which made me turn around to see what he needed.

June: "Yeah?"

Heyward: "You should go meet up with your brother, I assume you don't know where he's at."

He passed me another piece of paper, this one having a phone number written on it. I looked over at him confused but this one only gave me a slight smile.

Heyward: "Call that phone number, they will help you find your brother easily."

Heyward: "He's sometimes very hard to find." -he replied, waving goodbye to me.

He entered the small cabin to continue whatever he was doing before, leaving me all alone once again.

I walked through the island, trying to find a pay phone. They are always located in some of the alleyways. I kept looking around, mesmerized over how pretty everything looked.

Nothing has changed which I've said before, I'm actually glad nothings changed. It's easier to remember where was everything located at.

My dumb self got too distracted by looking at my surroundings, (not surprising to be honest) which made me bump into someone. The impact I made with the ground was the worst part, I could feel all of the sand stuck to my skin which lowkey didn't bother, but the piece of glass stuck with it did bother, ALOT.

Unknown Voice: "Oh my god! Are you okay?! I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking!" -a woman asked, quickly helping me stand up.

She was obviously older than me, I couldn't help but noticed how familiar she looked. She was indeed a kook though, I could tell due to the channel dress she was currently wearing.

June: "It's not your fault, I was the one not looking in front of me. I'm so sorry if I made you drop anything!" -I apologized.

She quickly laughed, as she took a hold of my hands to help me sit down on a nearby bench.

Rose: "Don't worry love, nothing was dropped! My name is Rose Cameron, what's yours?"

As she mentioned her name, realization quickly hit me. I've met her before, a long time ago. She's a very busy woman, also being Sarah's step mom.

June: "You probably don't remember me, I'm June Routledge." -I replied, constantly grunting due to the pain I was feeling in my left leg.

Rose: "Oh my god! I do remember you. Sarah, has been talking about you for months already.
Wait, are you okay honey?" -she asked, after noticing how I had blood on my hands.

                             1 hour later

If you're wondering what happened after, well, she was quick to take actions. It all happened really fast, but she was quick to call her own driver and take me to The Cameron's home.

It was the first place I did not wanted to be in, why? I'm not really ready to see Sarah, again. It's kinda awkward meeting people you haven't seen in a while, and I'm obviously the one that makes the situation awkward.

June: "Mrs. Cameron, I already told you I'm fine! I don't need to stay here today, it's okay!" -I pleaded, as she dragged me to one of the guest rooms on the house.

Rose: "I feel too guilty over this situation June, so I'm allowing you stay here...even if it's just one day."

Rose: "Please do it for me! Besides theirs a hurricane coming, and I don't want to get blamed for someone's death. After everything passes, you may leave." -she begged, her eyes screaming desperation.

June: "Ugh, okay, fine! But, can I at least call someone first?"

Rose: "Yes! Yes, of course! Take the time you need. When you're finished come to the living room." -the woman clapped filled with excitement.

She eventually left the room, allowing me to search through my luggage. I grabbed my phone out, quickly marking the phone number Heyward, gave me.

I waited for the call to get picked up, which didn't took that long. I was able to hear a woman's voice from the other line.

June: "Uuhh, hello? I'm sorry to bother you I'm June Routledge." -I began speaking, looking outside through the window.

June: "A friend of mine's told me to call this number if I wanted to contact my brother. Are you, Mrs. Peterkin?"

Sheriff Peterkin: "Yes, this is her. I'm Sheriff Peterkin, and I do indeed know your twin brother, June."

The woman, sounded confident. She had this way of speaking that lowkey creeped me out, I felt like I was being seen.

I need to stop being so weird, (obviously) I not only look dumb but sound dumb now.

Sheriff Peterkin: "If it's okay with you, we can meet up tomorrow. John B, today has an appointment to talk about the way that he's living."

Sheriff Peterkin: "You can meet up with him tomorrow, there's a hurricane coming so I can't let you come today." -she explained, leaving me even more confused.

June: "Wait, may I ask what do you mean about "the way he's living"? Is he homeless or something? Did my father, kick him out?"

Sheriff Peterkin: "We'll talk tomorrow Mrs. Routledge, stay safe."

As I was about to ask again, the woman, hung up the call. Why did the hurricane needed to ruin everything? Hating life at this point to be honest.

I walked out of the room, taking a look around the big house. It was beautiful, everything was placed perfectly. I felt like Barbie at this point, I noticed the entrance to the living room.

Which was were I needed to go at the moment, I approached slowly looking around again. Then realized I wasn't alone on the living room actually.

June: "Hi!" -I said nervously.

Noticing the whole Cameron family in front of me, they all had big smiles plastered across their faces. Well, expect Rafe Cameron, who didn't look interested at all.

Sarah: "Oh. my. God! June!" -the blonde one, exclaimed.

She was quick to approach and pull me into a tight hug, I hugged her back. She pulled back and stared at me with the biggest smile possible, she was obviously very happy which almost shocked me.

Part of me thought she'll be mad at me for never calling her or texting, but I guess she actually understood that I needed time.

June: "Hi, how are you?" -I asked, chuckling over her cute happy expression.

Sarah: "I'm better then ever?! I missed you so much Juney, I'm sorry you needed to come back due to your father's situation." -she replied, making my smile fade.

June: "What situation?"
