Teri aankhon mein bas jaane ka dil karta hai, tere hothon ko chhoone ka dil karta hai, tujhe khud apna banane ka dil karta hai, tere saath zindagi bitane ka dil karta hai.
Ashwin's pov:
As the nurse's words sank in, I felt a rush of emotions— disbelief, and a touch of anxiety. Beside me, Viyaan's teasing grin only added to the surrealness of the moment. "Looks like congratulations are in order, bhai," he said, nudging me playfully. But his words only served to deepen my shock.
Viyaan's teasing was relentless, his playful demeanor contrasting sharply with the gravity of the situation. "Well, well, well, bhai," he began, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Looks like you've got some explaining to do as well." he again added "You guys were like Cat and dog! but this woah- I am going to be uncle!"
I shot him a warning glance, my own shock still palpable. "Viyaan, now is not the time for jokes," I replied tersely, my tone conveying the seriousness of the situation.
But Viyaan was undeterred, his grin widening as he leaned in closer. "Come on, bhai, spill the beans," he persisted, unable to resist the opportunity to poke fun at my expense. "How'd you manage to pull this one off without even trying?"
I rolled my eyes, exasperated by his relentless teasing. "Viyaan, it's not what you think," I insisted, my patience wearing thin. "Anshika and I... we haven't..." I struggled to find the right words, my mind still grappling with the shock of the news.
Viyaan's teasing expression softened, replaced by a more sympathetic understanding. "I get it, bhai," he said quietly, his playful demeanor giving way to a more thoughtful tone. "It's a lot to take in."
As we lapsed into a thoughtful silence
"Viyaan, I... I never..." I stammered, struggling to find the right words to express the sheer disbelief coursing through me. "We never..." I trailed off, my mind reeling at the implications of the nurse's revelation.
Viyaan's teasing expression melted into one of genuine surprise and shock as my words sank in. "Wait, you mean... you two never..." he began, his eyes widening in astonishment.
I shook my head, unable to comprehend the sudden turn of events. "No, Viyaan, we never... I mean, we haven't..." I struggled to articulate the truth, the reality of the situation still sinking in. Despite our close relationship, the idea of fatherhood had never crossed my mind until now.
"Whose child is this?" Viyaan said with shock.
"Vikram..."
Viyaan's expression shifted from playful teasing to genuine concern as he processed my words. "Vikram?" he echoed, his voice tinged with disbelief. "But... how?"
I shook my head, feeling the weight of the revelation pressing down on me. "I don't know," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "I just... I don't know."
The implications of what I had just learned were staggering. Anshika, unconscious in the hospital room, was carrying Vikram's child – a fact that filled me with a mix of anger, confusion, and profound sadness. How could this have happened? What had Vikram done to her?
Viyaan's eyes reflected my own turmoil as he struggled to comprehend the situation. "We have to do something," he said finally, his voice firm with resolve. "We can't let Vikram get away with this."
I nodded, a steely determination settling over me. "We won't," I vowed, my jaw set with determination. "I'll make sure of it."
"What about Bhabhi?"
Before I could speak nurse came out and said "You can go inside!". I really wasn't in mood to go inside and face Anshika. How the FUCK am I even supposed to face her? Tell her She got pregnant hah? Tell her that she got pregnant without her knowing anything? Tell her that she got pregnant and her body was used by a guy who was one of our enemy? How am I supposed to say all this?
As my thoughts were battling. Viyaan patted me at my back and said "Tell her... Tell bhabhi everything from starting to end... Everything about pictures... Everything about this pregnancy... Everything Bhai, Everything... It's a right time for both of you"
It was easy for him to speak but for me it was hard just like a coconut shell!
Viyaan's words echoed in my mind, urging me to confront the truth, no matter how difficult it may be. But the thought of facing Anshika, of confessing everything to her, filled me with an overwhelming sense of dread.
As we stood outside her hospital room, I hesitated, my hand hovering over the door handle. How could I possibly explain to her the events that had led to this moment? How could I tell her about the betrayal, the manipulation, the violation of her trust?
But Viyaan's words lingered in my thoughts, reminding me of the importance of honesty, of facing the truth head-on, no matter how painful it may be. With a deep breath, I pushed open the door and stepped inside.
Anshika lay on the hospital bed, her eyes closed, her face peaceful in sleep. But as I approached her, a sense of guilt washed over me. How could I have let this happen to her? How could I have failed to protect her from Vikram's devious schemes?
I took a seat beside her, my heart heavy with regret. "Anshika," I began, my voice barely above a whisper. "I need to talk to you."
But before I could continue, Anshika stirred, her eyes fluttering open. She looked up at me, confusion and concern flickering in her gaze. "Ashwin? Why do I always ends up like this?" she murmured, her voice soft and groggy.
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come. "Anshika," I said, my voice steady despite the turmoil raging inside me. "There's something you need to know..."
I approached Anshika cautiously, my heart heavy with the weight of the truth I had to share. She looked up at me, her eyes clouded with confusion and pain. "Anshika, we need to talk," I said gently, my voice trembling slightly.
She nodded, her expression guarded. "What is it, Ashwin?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come. "Anshika, I need to tell you something, something important," I began, my words coming out in a rush. "It's about the pictures, the ones Vikram showed you. They're fake, Anshika. They're not real."
Anshika's eyes widened in disbelief. "What do you mean, they're fake?" she demanded, her voice rising with anger and confusion. "How can you say that? I saw them with my own eyes! They looked so real."
I reached out to her, my hand trembling as I brushed a tear from her cheek. "I know it's hard to believe, Anshika, but it's the truth," I said softly. "Vikram set us up, he fabricated those pictures to make it look like something that never happened."
Anshika shook her head, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps. "But why, Ashwin? Why would he do something like that?" she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.
I swallowed hard, the lump in my throat nearly choking me. "I don't know, Anshika. I wish I did," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "But what I do know is that I love you, more than anything in this world. And I would never do anything to hurt you."
This time those 3 words didn't came out by themselves! My heart said that! My heart said everything. And I am glad it did
Anshika's eyes searched mine, her gaze intense and probing. "Do you mean that, Ashwin? Do you really mean that?" she asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest. "Yes, Anshika, I do. I love you more than anything, and I would do anything to make things right between us," I said earnestly, my voice filled with sincerity.
Anshika's expression softened, a flicker of hope igniting in her eyes. "I want to believe you, Ashwin. I do," she said quietly, her voice barely audible. "But it's hard, after everything that's happened."
I reached out to her, taking her hands in mine. "I know, Anshika. I know it's hard," I said gently. "But we'll get through this together, I promise. We'll find a way to prove that those pictures are fake, and we'll rebuild our trust, our love, stronger than ever before."
Anshika looked at me, her eyes filled with uncertainty and vulnerability. "Do you really think we can do that, Ashwin? Can we really overcome this?" she asked, her voice wavering with doubt.
I squeezed her hands reassuringly, my heart aching at the pain in her eyes. "Yes, Anshika, we can. I believe in us, in our love," I said firmly, my voice filled with conviction. "And I won't rest until I've proven to you that we're meant to be together, no matter what obstacles stand in our way."
As I struggled to find the words to tell Anshika about the pregnancy, my heart pounded in my chest with a mix of anxiety and apprehension. I could feel the weight of the revelation pressing down on me, the knowledge that I was about to change everything with just a few simple words. "Anshika, there is also one more thing you need to know..." I began, my voice faltering as I tried to push the words past the lump in my throat.
Anshika's eyes widened in anticipation, her gaze fixed on mine as she waited for me to continue. But the words seemed to stick in my throat, refusing to come out. "Y-you a-are pr-preg..." I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper, unable to bring myself to utter the words that would change everything.
Before I could say anything more, the door swung open, and the doctor entered the room, a concerned expression on his face. "Mr. Singhania, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I need to speak with you," he said, his tone serious.
I nodded, grateful for the interruption, and followed the doctor out of the room, Viyaan trailing behind me. We made our way to the doctor's office, where he closed the door behind us and took a seat behind his desk.
"I apologize for the confusion earlier," the doctor began, his voice apologetic. "There was a mistake with the report. Your wife is actually doing quite well, all things considered. It seems she's just experiencing some stress-related symptoms."
Relief flooded through me like a wave, washing away the tension and anxiety that had been building inside me. I felt a weight lift off my shoulders, a sense of gratitude washing over me as I realized that Anshika was safe and healthy. Viyaan let out a sigh of relief beside me, echoing my own feelings of gratitude.
The doctor continued, "I understand this situation has been incredibly stressful, but please know that we are doing everything we can to ensure her well-being. She needs to rest and avoid any further stress."
I nodded, feeling a sense of calm beginning to settle in. "Thank you, doctor," I said, my voice steady. "I appreciate everything you're doing."
As we left the doctor's office and made our way back to Anshika's room, I couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of hope. Despite the challenges we faced, I knew that as long as we faced them together, we could overcome anything. And with that thought in mind, I stepped back into Anshika's room, ready to face whatever lay ahead, hand in hand with the woman I loved.
Over the next few hours, I worked tirelessly to arrange for top-notch security at the hospital. Every minute counted, and I knew I couldn't afford to let my guard down, not even for a second. Viyaan, ever the reliable brother, made calls and coordinated with a reputable private security firm. He was meticulous in his arrangements, ensuring that the security personnel were experienced and trustworthy.
The security team arrived promptly, a group of professional and well-trained individuals who immediately understood the gravity of the situation. Viyaan and I briefed them on the specifics, emphasizing the need for vigilance and discretion. Their leader, a stern but reassuring man named Raj, nodded as he listened, his demeanor exuding confidence.
"We'll take it from here, Mr. Singhania. Your wife's safety is our top priority," Raj said, his voice steady and resolute.
We stationed guards at the entrances and exits of the hospital wing, creating a secure perimeter. This was the first line of defense, ensuring that anyone entering the area was properly vetted. The guards were strategically positioned, their presence both visible enough to deter potential threats and subtle enough not to cause alarm to other patients and staff.
Outside Anshika's room, we placed two more guards. These were the most trusted members of the team, handpicked by Raj himself. They stood like sentinels, their eyes scanning every movement in the corridor. Their presence was a constant reminder that Anshika was under vigilant watch, and no unauthorized personnel could come near her.
The hospital staff was initially cooperative, though I could sense a degree of wariness. The extra presence was an unusual sight in their usually calm environment. I took it upon myself to address their concerns directly. Gathering the key members of the staff, including the head nurse and the administrative officer, I explained the situation.
"I understand this might seem excessive, but it's necessary. Anshika has been through a traumatic experience, and there are credible threats against her. The security team will be discreet and will not interfere with your work. They're here to ensure her safety, and I hope we can count on your understanding and cooperation," I said, my tone firm yet respectful.
The head nurse, a kind-faced woman named Mrs. Kapoor, nodded sympathetically. "We understand, Mr. Singhania. Our priority is the well-being of all our patients. We'll do everything we can to accommodate your needs."
Her assurance was a relief. It was crucial that the hospital staff understood the urgency and gravity of the situation. Their cooperation was indispensable in maintaining an atmosphere of calm and normalcy for Anshika's sake.
The next step was to integrate the security team's operations smoothly with the hospital's routine. Raj coordinated with the hospital's internal security to ensure that all protocols were followed without causing disruption. The guards were instructed to be courteous and professional in their interactions, minimizing any potential discomfort for the hospital staff and patients.
By the end of the day, the security measures were firmly in place. The entrances were monitored, the corridors were patrolled, and Anshika's room was a fortress of safety. I could finally breathe a small sigh of relief, knowing that every possible precaution had been taken.
Viyaan and I took a moment to review everything, making sure no detail was overlooked. "I think we're all set," Viyaan said, his voice tinged with exhaustion but also determination.
"Thank you, Viyaan. I couldn't have done this without you," I replied, patting him on the shoulder.
"Anything for family, Ashwin. We'll get through this together."
As night fell, the hospital quieted down, the usual hustle and bustle giving way to a serene silence. I returned to Anshika's room, feeling a renewed sense of hope. Despite the lingering threats, I knew we had done everything in our power to ensure her safety.
Anshika looked up as I entered, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Everything okay?" she asked, her voice soft but steady.
"Everything's in place. You're safe now," I assured her, sitting by her side and taking her hand in mine.
As I sat by Anshika's side, holding her hand and feeling a sense of cautious relief, the door to the room opened quietly. Meera, stepped inside with her usual calm demeanor. Her presence was a comforting reminder of normalcy in the midst of all the chaos. She looked at me and Viyaan, a gentle but firm expression on her face.
"Mr. Ashwin, Mr. Viyaan," Meera said softly, "you both need to take a break. You've been here for hours. Please, go freshen up and get something to eat. I'll stay with Anshika and make sure she's comfortable."
I hesitated, glancing at Anshika. I didn't want to leave her side, not even for a moment. But before I could voice my concern, Raj stepped forward, his presence commanding attention.
"Mr. Singhania, it's important for you to take care of yourself too. We have everything under control here. Your wife is in good hands," Raj said, his tone reassuring yet authoritative.
Viyaan nodded in agreement, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Ashwin, he's right. We need to be at our best to handle this situation. Let's take a quick break and then come back."
I knew they were both right, but the thought of leaving Anshika, even briefly, filled me with unease. I looked at her, seeking her reassurance. She smiled faintly and squeezed my hand.
"I'll be fine, Ashwin. You need to take care of yourself too," Anshika said softly.
Reluctantly, I nodded, standing up slowly. "Alright, but we won't be long," I said, looking at Raj and Meera. "Please, make sure she has everything she needs."
Meera smiled warmly. "Of course, Mr. Ashwin. Don't worry about anything. Just take a little time for yourselves."
Viyaan and I stepped out of the room, leaving Anshika in the capable hands of Meera and the vigilant watch of Raj and his team.
