Author's pov:

The rest of the day was a blur for Anshika. She tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept returning to the photos. She couldn't shake the images from her mind or the sense of betrayal that accompanied them. Despite her attempts to concentrate, she found herself making mistakes and losing track of time.

Her colleagues noticed her distraction, but she brushed off their concerns, claiming she was just tired. Inside, she was battling a storm of emotions—anger, sadness, confusion, and a deep sense of betrayal. She couldn't bring herself to talk about it, not yet. She needed to process it all first.

Ashwin, sensing something was deeply wrong, tried multiple times to talk to Anshika throughout the evening. "Anshika, please, talk to me. What's going on?"

"Nothing, Ashwin," she replied coldly. "I'm just tired."

But Ashwin knew it was more than that. He felt a growing sense of dread as he watched his wife retreat into herself, her normally warm and open demeanor replaced by a cold, distant shell. He wanted to reach out, to hold her and tell her everything would be okay, but every attempt was met with resistance.

"Anshika, please, I can see you're upset. Let me help," he pleaded.

"Help with what?" she snapped. "There's nothing you can do, Ashwin. Just leave me alone."

Ashwin was left standing in the hallway, feeling helpless and frustrated. He didn't know what had happened, but he was determined to find out and fix it.

That night, as Anshika lay in bed, she couldn't find any peace. The images of Ashwin with another woman haunted her, making it impossible to sleep. She tossed and turned, her mind racing with questions and doubts. How could Ashwin do this to her? Was their marriage a lie?

Despite her anger and hurt, there was a part of her that wanted to believe Ashwin, to trust that he would never betray her. But the photos were so convincing, so damning. She didn't know what to think or how to feel.

As the hours dragged on, Anshika finally gave up on sleep. She got out of bed and sat by the window, staring out into the night. Tears streamed down her face as she thought about the future. She and Ashwin had been through so much already, and now they were facing yet another challenge. She didn't know if their marriage could survive this latest blow.

The morning sun was bright, but the atmosphere in the house was heavy with tension. Anshika woke up with a sense of unease, a feeling that something wasn't right. She went through her morning routine, but her mind kept drifting back to the lunch with Vikram the previous day.

As she walked downstairs, she found Dadi in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. "Good morning, Dadi," Anshika greeted, trying to sound cheerful.

"Good morning, beta," Dadi responded with a warm smile. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, Dadi," Anshika lied. She hadn't slept well at all, her mind racing with thoughts and doubts.

Just as she was about to help with breakfast, her phone buzzed with a message. It was from an unknown number. Her heart skipped a beat as she opened it, fearing it might be another message from Vikram.

The message contained several photos. Anshika's eyes widened in shock as she saw images of Ashwin with another woman. They were in compromising positions, kissing, and even lying in bed together. Her hands trembled, and she felt a wave of nausea wash over her.

"What's wrong, beta?" Dadi asked, noticing the change in Anshika's demeanor.

"Nothing, Dadi," Anshika said quickly, forcing a smile. "I just need to make a call."

She rushed to her room and dialed the unknown number. Vikram answered almost immediately. "Hello, Anshika," he said smoothly.

"What is this, Vikram?" she demanded, trying to keep her voice steady. "Why are you sending me these photos?"

"I thought you should know the truth, Anshika," Vikram replied, his tone calm. "Ashwin isn't who you think he is. He's been lying to you, cheating on you."

"That's impossible," Anshika said, her voice shaking. "Ashwin wouldn't do that."

"I'm afraid the pictures don't lie," Vikram said softly. "I have more if you need proof."

Anshika felt her world crumbling around her. She didn't know what to believe. "Why are you doing this?" she whispered.

"Because I care about you," Vikram said, his voice filled with false sincerity. "I can't stand to see you hurt by his deceit."

Anshika hung up the phone, feeling dizzy with confusion and betrayal. She needed to clear her head, to think about what to do next.

Determined to get to the bottom of things, Anshika decided to meet Vikram again. She texted him, and he quickly replied with a location. Anshika told the family she had some errands to run and left the house, her mind set on getting answers.

When she arrived at the café, Vikram was already there, waiting for her. He greeted her with a warm smile. "Hello, Anshika."

"Vikram," she said curtly. "I need to know everything. Show me the rest of the photos."

Vikram nodded and handed her his phone. Anshika scrolled through the images, each one more damning than the last. She felt a deep sense of betrayal as she looked at them. "Why are you showing me these?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Because you deserve to know the truth," Vikram said, leaning closer. "Ashwin has been lying to you. You deserve someone who will be honest with you, who will treat you with respect."

Anshika's mind was reeling. She didn't know what to believe. Could Ashwin really be cheating on her? The photos seemed so convincing, but she couldn't reconcile them with the man she knew. "I need to think," she said, standing up abruptly.

"Of course," Vikram said, his voice gentle. "Take your time, Anshika. Just know that I'm here for you."

When Anshika returned home, she found Viyaan waiting for her. "Hey, where have you been?" he asked, noticing her troubled expression.

"Just out," Anshika said evasively. "I needed some air."

"Are you okay?" Viyaan asked, his concern evident.

"I'm fine," Anshika said, forcing a smile. "Just a lot on my mind."

As she went to her room, she couldn't shake the images from her mind. She felt torn between her love for Ashwin and the evidence that seemed to point to his betrayal. She needed to confront him, to hear his side of the story.

Anshika's evening was a tumultuous whirlwind of emotions, each one more intense than the last. As she sat through dinner, her mind was a battlefield, torn between her love for Ashwin and the damning evidence she had seen. She avoided his gaze, unable to bear the weight of the truth that lay between them.

When Ashwin finally approached her, she felt a surge of apprehension. She could see the concern in his eyes, hear the worry in his voice, but it only fueled her anger. How could he pretend that everything was normal when their world was crumbling around them?

As his hand closed around hers, Anshika's frustration reached its breaking point. She yanked her hands away, her movements sharp and jagged with pent-up emotion. "Don't touch me!" she snapped, the words escaping her lips before she could stop them.

Ashwin's reaction was immediate, his expression shifting from concern to confusion, then to shock. Anshika could see the hurt in his eyes, but she was beyond caring. All she could think about was the betrayal that had shattered their marriage.

"You lied to me," she accused, her voice trembling with barely-contained fury. "How could you do this to us?"

For a moment, Ashwin looked as though he didn't knew anything. "I don't know what you're talking about," he replied, his voice devoid of emotion.

Anshika's heart sank at his denial. She had hoped, prayed even, that he would come clean, that they could face this together. But his refusal to acknowledge the truth only deepened her despair. How could they ever move forward from this?

Without another word, Anshika turned and fled, the sound of her footsteps echoing in the empty hallway. She didn't know where she was going or what she would do next, but one thing was certain: their marriage was teetering on the edge of collapse, and she didn't know if it would ever recover.

As Anshika retreated to her room, she was engulfed by a sense of overwhelming desolation. She collapsed onto her bed, the weight of her emotions bearing down on her like a leaden blanket. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, threatening to spill over at any moment.

In the solitude of her room, the events of the day played out in her mind like a relentless loop. The images of Ashwin with another woman, their intimate moments captured in damning detail, haunted her like a specter. She couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal, the sense of profound loss that threatened to consume her whole.

But amidst the turmoil of her emotions, there was also a flicker of doubt. Could it be possible that she had misjudged Ashwin, that there was more to the story than met the eye? The thought sent a shiver of uncertainty down her spine, mingling with the anger and hurt that still burned within her.

As the hours ticked by, Anshika lay in the darkness, grappling with her conflicting emotions. She wanted answers, needed them even, but she was also afraid of what she might discover. The prospect of confronting Ashwin again filled her with dread, but she knew that she couldn't continue to live in this limbo of uncertainty.

Eventually, exhaustion overtook her, pulling her into the depths of sleep.  But even in the realm of dreams, she found no respite from the turmoil that consumed her waking hours.

As Dadi approached Anshika's room, her heart sank at the sight that greeted her. Anshika lay on the bed, her usually serene face twisted in anguish, the remnants of tears staining her cheeks. The room itself seemed to mirror her turmoil, with scattered belongings and an air of desolation hanging heavy in the air.

With a heavy heart, Dadi stepped forward, her concern growing with each passing moment. She knelt beside the bed, gently brushing Anshika's hair from her face, aching to comfort her in any way she could. But as she looked upon her granddaughter's tear-streaked face, a pang of helplessness washed over her.

Summoning all her resolve, Dadi reached out and shook Anshika gently, calling out to her in a voice laced with concern. "Anshika, wake up, my child," she urged, her voice soft yet urgent. "It's time to wake up, dear. Please, open your eyes."

Anshika stirred at the sound of Dadi's voice, her eyelids fluttering open as she emerged from the depths of sleep. Confusion clouded her gaze for a moment, but as her surroundings came into focus, the weight of her sorrow descended upon her once more.

Dadi's heart broke at the sight of Anshika's anguish, and she gathered her into a tender embrace, offering what solace she could in the face of such profound sorrow. "It's okay, my child," she murmured softly, her voice a soothing balm against the storm raging within Anshika's heart. "I'm here for you. Whatever it is, we'll face it together."

As Dadi held Anshika close, her heart ached at the sight of her granddaughter's tears. With a gentle touch, she brushed them away, her voice filled with empathy as she sought to ease Anshika's pain.

"What happened, my dear?" Dadi inquired softly, her voice laced with concern. "You can tell me anything. I'm here for you."

Anshika hesitated, torn between the desire to confide in her grandmother and the fear of burdening her with her own troubles. In the end, she opted for a simpler explanation, one that masked the true depth of her sorrow.

"I... I miss my mumma and dad," Anshika murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. The words caught in her throat, laden with unspoken grief and longing. As she spoke, tears welled in her eyes once more, the weight of her sorrow threatening to overwhelm her.

Dadi's heart broke anew at Anshika's words, her own eyes shimmering with unshed tears. She pulled Anshika into a tighter embrace, offering what comfort she could in the face of such profound loss.

"I know, my dear," Dadi murmured, her voice thick with emotion. "I miss them too. But you're not alone. We're family."

Anshika looked up at Dadi with pleading eyes, her voice soft as she made her request. "Dadi, can I go to Ma's home for a few days? I just need some time to myself, to sort things out."

Dadi studied Anshika's face, her expression filled with concern and understanding. She reached out and gently brushed a stray strand of hair from Anshika's forehead, her touch comforting and reassuring. "Of course, beta," she said softly. "Whatever you need, we're here for you."

Feeling slightly relieved after her conversation with Dadi, Anshika retreated to her room to pack her belongings. As she folded her clothes and gathered her essentials, her mind raced with conflicting emotions. She couldn't shake the images of Ashwin with another woman, but at the same time, she longed for the comfort of her mother's home.

Once she finished packing, Anshika made her way downstairs, where she found Viyaan waiting for her. His expression was a mixture of concern and sympathy as he offered to drive her to her mother's house. Anshika nodded silently, grateful for his support.

"Where are you going Anshika?" Ashwin inquired.

But Anshika ignored him and left the hall.

During the car ride, Anshika stared out of the window, lost in her thoughts. Viyaan glanced at her occasionally, wanting to offer words of comfort but unsure of what to say. He knew that Anshika was going through a difficult time, and he wished there was more he could do to help her.

When they arrived at Anshika's mother's house, Viyaan walked her to the door and hugged her tightly. "Take care of yourself, Anshika," he said softly. "And remember, we're all here for you."

Anshika managed a small smile, touched by Viyaan's gesture. "Thank you, Viyaan," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll see you soon."

As Anshika settled into her room at her mother's house, hoping for a moment of peace, she heard a knock on the door. With a heavy heart, she opened it to find Bua standing there, a malevolent glint in her eyes.

"Well, well, look who's here," Bua said with a sneer, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Running away from your problems, are we? Must be nice to abandon your husband and seek refuge with your mother."

Anshika's jaw tightened at Bua's cutting remarks, but she forced herself to maintain her composure. "I needed some time to myself," she replied evenly, though her voice betrayed a hint of defiance. "I don't see how that's anyone else's concern."

Bua's lips curled into a mocking smile. "Oh, it's everyone's concern when you're married to our Ashwin," she retorted, her tone laced with malice. "But I suppose you've always been more interested in your own comfort than in fulfilling your duties as a wife."

Anshika felt a surge of anger rise within her, but she clenched her fists, determined not to let Bua provoke her. "I'm not running away," she said firmly, her voice tinged with defiance. "I'm taking some time to figure things out."

Before Anshika could speak her mother showed up and her father too! They both were happy to see their pride back at home as usual Bua started faking around in anshika's house but anshika knew what bua is!

After few hours she left and finally there was peace!
