As the car journeyed towards the Singhania mansion, Anshika sat beside Ashwin, her attention captured by the glow of her phone screen. She scrolled through messages and notifications and few emails of her work, a faint smile playing on her lips as she relished the memories of the day's events. Meanwhile, Ashwin, seated beside her, was immersed in his laptop, his focus trained on the screen as he attended to some urgent work emails.
Viyaan, occupying the passenger seat, couldn't resist the opportunity to lighten the mood with a bit of playful teasing. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he turned to Ashwin, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Hey there, workaholic!" Viyaan exclaimed, his tone teasing yet affectionate. "You know, I've heard that it's customary for the groom to pay attention to his bride on their wedding night, not bury himself in work!" Viyaan teased, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Don't tell me you're already buried in work on your wedding night! You know they say marriage is about compromise, but this is ridiculous!"
Ashwin, caught off guard by Viyaan's teasing, couldn't help but chuckle at his brother's antics. "Very funny, Viyaan," he replied
Ashwin, caught off guard by Viyaan's jest, felt a surge of irritation bubbling beneath the surface. Though he couldn't deny the truth in Viyaan's words, he couldn't bring himself to admit the real reason behind his preoccupation. Instead, he forced a strained smile and replied, "Very funny, Viyaan. Just tying up some loose ends, that's all."
Meanwhile Anshika was still busy in her phone but the smile faded away when she heared the lack of interest on Ashwin's voice.
Anshika replied "I would be good if you won't forget that you are married now!" while taunting him.
Ashwin's forced smile faltered for a moment, a flicker of discomfort crossing his features before he quickly composed himself. "Of course,," he replied, his tone strained. "Anshika You know I wouldn't forget about you."
As the car continued on its journey, the atmosphere inside was tinged with a sense of unease, each occupant lost in their own thoughts and emotions. Anshika, despite her efforts to maintain a cheerful facade, couldn't shake the feeling of apprehension that lingered in the pit of her stomach. She couldn't help but wonder if Ashwin's apparent disinterest was merely a result of the day's hectic events, or if it was indicative of a deeper issue between them.
Viyaan, ever the astute observer, sensed the tension in the air and decided to steer the conversation in a lighter direction. "So, Bhabhi, how does it feel to officially be a part of the Singhania family?" he asked, his tone casual yet curious.
Anshika, grateful for the change of topic, brightened at the question. "It feels surreal, honestly," she admitted, her voice tinged with a mixture of excitement and uncertainty. "But I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better and starting this new chapter of my life."
Viyaan nodded in understanding, a reassuring smile playing on his lips. "Don't worry, Bhabhi," he said, his voice warm and reassuring. "You're already a part of the family, and we're thrilled to have you here. Just give Bhai some time to come around. I'm sure he'll warm up to you soon enough."
Ashwin ignored viyaan's words. As if he didn't listened anything.
Anshika offered a grateful smile in return, comforted by Viyaan's words of encouragement.
Indeed, Ashwin's lack of excitement was palpable despite Viyaan's jovial attempts to lighten the mood. As the teasing continued, Ashwin's forced smiles and strained responses betrayed the inner turmoil he was experiencing. While Viyaan's playful banter served as a distraction, it couldn't erase the underlying tension that lingered between Ashwin and Anshika.
Anshika, ever perceptive, couldn't help but notice the disconnect in Ashwin's demeanor. Despite her efforts to maintain a cheerful facade, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of her stomach. She longed for her husband's genuine acceptance and warmth, but it seemed as though he was still struggling to come to terms with their marriage.
As Viyaan's teasing persisted, Anshika exchanged a knowing glance with Ashwin, silently acknowledging the unspoken tension that simmered beneath the surface. She wished she could reach out to him, to bridge the gap between them and ease his apprehensions, but she knew that he needed time to come to terms with their new reality.
Ashwin, for his part, felt a surge of frustration at his own inability to shake off the lingering doubts and reservations that plagued his mind. Try as he might to push aside his feelings of reluctance, he couldn't deny the truth—he wasn't ready to fully embrace his role as Anshika's husband.
Despite his inner turmoil, Ashwin knew that he couldn't voice his true feelings in front of Viyaan. The thought of admitting his lack of excitement and acceptance to his brother filled him with a sense of shame and guilt. Instead, he continued to play along with Viyaan's teasing, forcing himself to maintain a facade of joviality for the sake of appearances.
As the car journeyed on, the atmosphere inside remained strained, each occupant lost in their own thoughts and emotions. Anshika's heart ached with longing for the genuine connection she craved with her husband, while Ashwin struggled to reconcile his inner turmoil with the expectations placed upon him by his family.
And as they finally arrived at the Singhania mansion, the weight of the day's events hung heavy in the air, casting a shadow over the joyous occasion.
As Ashwin and Anshika stepped foot into the Singhania mansion, they were greeted by a chorus of joyful cheers and warm embraces from their family members and loved ones. The grandeur of the mansion, adorned with intricate decorations and vibrant floral arrangements, served as a majestic backdrop for the continuation of the wedding festivities.
As per Indian traditions, the bride's arrival at her new home marks the beginning of a series of rituals and ceremonies known as the "Griha Pravesh" or housewarming. This sacred occasion symbolizes the bride's transition into her new role as a member of her husband's family and the start of her new life with her spouse.
As Ashwin and Anshika entered the mansion, they were welcomed by the elders of the family, who performed traditional rituals to bless the couple and invoke prosperity and happiness in their marital union. Anshika, adorned in traditional bridal attire, her hands adorned with intricate henna designs, radiated elegance and grace as she gracefully made her way through the halls of her new home.
The family members eagerly awaited the bride's arrival, eager to commence the rituals that would signify her official entry into the household. As Anshika stepped over the threshold, she was greeted by the matriarchs of the family, who showered her with blessings and adorned her with auspicious symbols to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune to the household.
Greha pravesh:
The first ritual of the Griha Pravesh ceremony involved the bride and groom circling the sacred fire, known as the "Agni," seven times, symbolizing their commitment to each other and their journey together as husband and wife. As they circled the fire, the priest chanted sacred hymns and blessings, invoking the blessings of the gods for a harmonious and prosperous marital life.
Following the circling of the fire, Anshika was ushered into the inner sanctum of the mansion, where she participated in a traditional ritual known as the "Satyanarayan Puja." This puja, dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu, is performed to seek his blessings for marital bliss, prosperity, and longevity.
As the puja commenced, Anshika sat alongside Ashwin, their hands joined in prayer as they offered floral garlands, incense, and sacred offerings to the deity. The priest recited ancient Vedic hymns and mantras, invoking the blessings of the gods and seeking their divine protection for the newlywed couple.
Throughout the ceremony, the atmosphere was filled with reverence and devotion, as family members and guests offered their prayers and blessings to the couple. The fragrance of incense filled the air, mingling with the sounds of chanting and the gentle rustle of silk sarees.
As the rituals drew to a close, Anshika and Ashwin exchanged loving glances, their hearts overflowing with gratitude and joy for the blessings bestowed upon them. Together, they embraced the sacred traditions of their culture, reaffirming their commitment to each other and the sacred bond of marriage.
As the Griha Pravesh ceremony concluded, the family members gathered together to celebrate the joyous occasion with music, dance, and sumptuous feasting. Amidst the laughter and revelry, Ashwin and Anshika basked in the warmth and love of their family, knowing that their journey together had only just begun, filled with the promise of love, happiness, and togetherness for years to come.
The ring game
As the ring game commenced, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement, with family members and guests eagerly watching as Ashwin and Anshika prepared to face off in this lighthearted competition. Positioned opposite each other, their eyes sparkled with determination and a hint of playful rivalry as they prepared to retrieve the ring from the bowl of Milk and rose petals in it. So basically the game is all about who will rule the marriage the one who gets the ring is supposed to be the one who will rule the marriage.
Anshika, adorned in her resplendent bridal attire, exuded confidence as she focused on the task at hand. With a mischievous glint in her eye, she poised her hand above the Milk, ready to snatch up the rings with lightning speed. Beside her, Ashwin, though outwardly composed, couldn't help but feel a twinge of competitive spirit stir within him. He was determined to give it his best shot, despite the playful taunts and cheers from their family members, particularly Viyaan and Noha, who were firmly on Anshika's side.
Amidst the lively atmosphere of the ring game, Viyaan and Noha took on the roles of enthusiastic cheerleaders, rallying behind Anshika with infectious energy and playful taunts directed at Ashwin. Positioned beside Anshika, they couldn't contain their excitement as they witnessed her skill and agility in action.
Viyaan, with his characteristic charm and wit, couldn't resist the opportunity to tease his brother, his voice ringing out above the crowd as he playfully egged Anshika on. "Go on, Bhabhi!" he exclaimed, his tone filled with mock encouragement. "You've got this! Show Bhai who's boss!"
Noha, equally spirited in her support of Anshika, joined in the teasing with a mischievous grin. "Don't worry, Bhabhi," she chimed in, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "We all know who the real winner is going to be. Sorry, Bhaiya, but I think it's time to accept defeat!"
As Anshika continued to dominate the game, retrieving ring after ring with surprising speed and agility, Viyaan and Noha's cheers grew even louder, their excitement reaching a fever pitch. With each successful retrieval, they cheered even more enthusiastically, their voices filled with pride and admiration for Anshika's impressive performance. With each ring she retrieved, her confidence grew, her smile widening with each victory. And though Ashwin couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at his inability to match her success.
"No one has ever defeated me" Ashwin gave a thought to himself.
As the game drew to a close and Anshika emerged victorious, Viyaan and Noha erupted into cheers and applause, their voices ringing out in triumph.
So finally the game was over! Ashwin lost so badly and was irriated and showing no emotions.
Ashwin said "Vo toh maine usse jitne diya aise he (Well I let her win) "
Viyaan said while teasing him "Jitne diya? yaa fir aapse hua nhi (You let her win? or You can't win" and laughed the whole family
Abhinav said to ashwin "Koi na beta... Hota hai...! mai bhi hara tha or aab humari biwi ki chalti hai humpe" (No worries child... It happens! I even lost this game and my wife rules over our marriage"
Abhiraj added "Even I lost...!"
Ashwin said while trying not to show much emotions "This is just a game afterall...! of course it doesn't decides who will rule and who will not!"
Anshika and Viyaan laughed. Noha even laughed with them.
Anshika said while teasing ashwin indirectly to viyaan "Look at your bhai's face... he is so worried...! and now he is trying to not show his emotions"
Viyaan said while laughing "Of course he will hide his emotions...!"
Everyone laughed and ashwin became so red because of embarrassment.
