Apparently,it seems it could do a lot.

What with how pensive Jungkook's gaze contributes to be,set heavily on her features that twitch with nerves not properly hidden. This is right after the news of her beloved best friend.

News that rang  falsely, but jungkook didn't have to know that, now did he?

The last bit echoes in her head, and yet she clenches and unclenches her hands where they're hidden in her lap, glad for it to be disguised by the dip between her pants cladded thighs.
If there was one thing she could not afford,it would be for jungkook to sumn her little act up as the lie it is.

His gaze seems not able to grow any more intense, what with how dark his irises glimpses to be, scrutinizing Ymori's every expression, passing over feature for feature.

For one,she definitely knows she  has to be poised and deliberately unfiltered as much as she could possess to be,daring to hope for her coy irresponsible act to work.

"You said,what?"
Jungkook is curious as he leans forward, the tension in his forearms quite palpable with how the exploitation of veins crossed the s naked skin. Most probably a good sign attuned to it, seeing she was definitely gradually succeeding in riling him up.

"I'm worried,uhm,about Arielle.
She's not in a good space, and well, what she's doing currently seems a bit too fast paced for me.
I'm afraid she might hurt herself that much more if she continues."
It's awful what she's doing, but seeing it fit as the only way to do something about her best friends calls to ask about him,Jungkook, trying to do it in a way as discreetly as possible, a way that would seem as if she just wanted to catch up on any of his latest scandals.

She could only take so much whining and bemoaning from Arielle, before Amori would feel obligated to mend her best friends broken sorrows, herself of course.

Arielle knew Seokjin was mad at her for running away from something they all knew she wanted all too much,so she'd been left to whine and tell Ymori of the way her chest aches, how bad the feeling has her sheathing, how much she longs for the smell of his cologne beneath her nose, instead.

It seems to also be a plus, this that Ymori has known Arielle for far longer than Seokjin, practically for most of her life.
She's been there to see the process of Arielle picking up the pieces of a broken home to form the formidably, confident, independent, strong minded woman she is today.

And yet,she still had her weaknesses,as did everyone.

Something Seokjin could not yet comprehend by much, not when he was so used to one of his closest friends and boss at that, always going after what she wants, never hesitating to reach for something head on.

So here she was,Amori and her sketched nerves, trying to alter the problem with an solution, seeing as both parties would rather drown in their sorrows instead of reaching for the ones they knew, would know how to fix it within a heartbeat.

Was it pettiness, perhaps?

"And that I'm afraid that, well, seeing as she's doing it to get over you, that she might end up with an incurable disease, something that I'm very much worried about, and well.
I don't know who she's with, but he seems to be encouraging her too.
And I don't trust that,you know?

She's still a bit,too wounded to realise that she might be moving too fast,I think. And it worries me."
Amori leans forward in false concern, the frown marring her brows as fake as the acrylics on the tips of her fingers, playing the part of at least being convincing, something dearly needed for her concoction of a plan to work.

One that her love, jimin, had agreed with as well, yet left her to do the acting.
That sun of a bitch.

"I don't see how this, should have anything to do with me though."
Jungkook's tone is unsure yet firm,as he backs off bit by bit,and Amori experiences an spiritual envisioning of the opportunity slipping from her finger tips, bit by bit.

Time to pull out the big guns, then.

"You do realise how much she...ah.
Wait, it's not my place to say anything if I'm being honest.
All I'm asking is,in concern for my longest friend,to just talk it out.
She's not doing well, and I'm afraid she might do something she'll regret."
That part at least was true.

"I ought to think she should've considered that before she pushed me away?
Don't you?"
Jungkook's gaze is pensive once more, his brows furrowed in a tension lined frown, and when it seems he's content with his last statement, Amori's abdominal muscles work extra hard to lay her stretched nerves to rest.

"I just think,it was quite clear to me what she wanted, and I won't linger around when I know she doesn't-"

"Did she put it in words that she wanted you to leave?
That she meant to push you away?
That she didn't care enough to keep you around, Jungkook?

You know, one thing I've come to realise about Arielle,is that she always had to take charge, since she'd been little.I've known her for years, and even though I'm so much older than her, she's been through so much more than me at her young age.

I think...

That there must be a reason that Arielle,as her bold self, didn't come to you herself, don't you?
There can't not be a reason,I mean did the way she treated you before the whole encounter define anything remotely related to her being the type that would leave you without a explanation?

I'm just saying that it's always in her mannerisms,it's just her way to be bold and confident.
She's never afraid to go after what she wants, and yet.

Why didn't she?
Why would she only...

Leave you be?"
Amori tries for the last time, and she feels horrible for letting a little glimpse of Arielle's inner struggles be revealed, but if it was the only way for her to have her happy ending,it was the least she had to do.

She had so bring a little sense to Jungkook's head, seeing as Arielle already was deathly afraid of worsening things by seeking him out and getting turned away.

She's been turned away by so many, that's it's become an inhibited habit to do the turning away herself, rather than spend the time and effort just to lose it all in the end.

Maybe it would be different with Jungkook,or at least, that's what Amori hoped for.

And Amori knew Arielle  needed to realise one way or another, that she was enough, that she could be strong and independent without suppressing her emotions.

Without having to feel that vulnerability was a trap to be exploited and used.

And that Jungkook,as she's come to realise of his sweet self, was not as destructive as her father had been.
That he wouldn't give up on her as easily as her past lovers had.

Or at least, she hoped he wouldn't.

And Jungkook?
Jungkook is left to ponder over it for a minute while Amori watches over him.
He wondered...

Was there still hope that he'd get his darling Arielle back?

He wanted to try,at least for the last time.He wanted to be there for her as she had always been for him, since the first moment she'd stepped up to the position of becoming the head of his publicity department, she'd been there for every of his needs in his working ethic that included society, and later...

She was there to make him feel safe and grounded with his emotional turmoils as well.

She was worth the fight,he realised blankly.

And it's with an relieved expression etched on her face that she realises that maybe her coy little lie mixed with a lot of truth, would've actually succeed.

Especially when.

"Where do I find her,Ymori?"
