彡Request : Hello! Could you please write Heeseung-centric where he gets into a car accident? Something serious with a lot of injuries on his part (+head injuries) and maybe a long recovery time with some trauma, the rest of the members are not hurt and every relationship is platonic. Thank you so much❤️
彡I hope you enjoy lovely!! <3

Heeseung had been filming in the outskirts of Seoul for his very own solo album. He was more than excited, and so were the members. He couldn't wait to release his very own album. The members constantly hyped him up every single day, and he held heartfelt conversations with his family, who pledged their unwavering commitment to stay awake until midnight, eager to be among the first to hear his debut. The company was pleased as well, because Engene's had placed preorders by the millions and the company had made a profit of over two billion won.
Of course something had to go wrong.

It had been a grueling day, with many scenes that were shot, reshot and reshot again. By the end of the day, he was exhausted, having used up all his energy in the endless scenes; where he had to run, jump, climb and act like spider man in general. Finally the shoot had ended around eleven at night and with lots of cheers and see you laters everyone had departed, tired but happy.
He walked out of the shooting location with his hands in his pockets, humming cheerfully as he got into the car waiting for him outside. As he did so, he remembered that he'd promised Jay that he'd call before he left for the dorm. He pressed one on his mobile, having Jay on speed dial. The screen lit up in the darkness as the call went through. Jay didn't pick up for some reason so he tried calling Jake. When that didn't go though either, he decided to text on their group chat that he'd be home in about one and half an hour.
But fate, as it often does, had other plans.

Heeseung had been on his phone when it had happened. He was going through the comments on the official accounts recent Instagram posts about his new album, the concept photos, the teasers and things like that. Engene's were gushing over how adorable he looked staring at the camera with big eyes, and then there were comments about how sexy he looked. He grinned. There were a few comments here or there that were negative but he choose to ignore them.
He looked up from his phone and out the window, rubbing his eyes. It was very late at night so the highway was completely empty, save for an occasional car or two. They had crossed the highway and were now on a bridge, when he heard the driver curse. He didn't even have time to look up as something crashed into the car. The seat belt securing him snapped as he flew forwards, smacked into the mental headrest of another seat and then backwards as the car screeched to a stop. There was some sort of red goop covering his eyes. He reached up a hand to wipe it off, and the hand came back soaked in a red substance. Blood. His blood.
The sound of shattering glass filled his ears, and then came the unmistakable smell of burning petrol and then it all went black.

When Heeseung came to, his ears were ringing and his head was pounding in a way he'd come to associate with girl's having period cramps. The girl he'd chased for over three years and always told him so and now every time he had a bad headache or a migraine, he'd remember he words which had been repeatedly told to him in the three months they'd dated.
There was something warm and wet sliding down the side of his cheek. He groaned and tried to wipe it off, and his hand came back cradling a lot of blood. Lifting his head up with the same sort of effort it might take someone to lift a building, he saw a disgusting and horrible sight in front of it. It would scar him for years and nightmares would occasionally inject it into his dreams making him wake up in a cold sweat.
The driver was dead. There was no saving him.
His airbag didn't seem to have worked and his neck was broken, snapped clearly off. A little more and he'd have been headless. Blood was gushing out of his mouth and neck and dripping down on to the car floor audibly.
Heeseung tried closing his eyes again to rid him of that image. It didn't work. The image was burned inside his brain and he could still see it very clearly, even with his eyes closed.
He felt horrible for the man. The driver, who's name was Li Hyung had told him in the morning on the trip from Seoul to its outskirts that he had just welcomed an infant daughter into his family one month ago. The little girl's mother had passed away during delivery, and the girl (who was going to be named after her mother) had barely survived either. At one point Li Hyung's tears became so think that Heeseung had asked him to stop the car and had taken the man to a nearby restaurant.
They had Japchae and the man had calmed down a bit. He was obviously still hurting, very much so from the loss of his wife. His mother was currently taking care of his daughter while he worked. Li Hyung had told Heeseung how he wanted to take a longer leave, but his minor wage was barely enough to make ends meet. He was now working two jobs to get his child the essentials she needed. Heeseung had immediately offered to help pay for the little girl's upbringing, but with many thank you's and no pleases! the driver had declined, and Heeseung had made up his mind to write a check for him anyway. And now, the infant was an orphan, loosing both her mother and father before she even got to know them. She was now left in the arms of an old lady who couldn't work to provide for her, while taking care of her as well. Tears slid unnoticed down his face.
Still disoriented from the crash, Heeseung tried to close his eyes in horror of the situation, an orphaned little girl at home, a tired mother both waiting for the man, who they would never see again, to return, before realizing they already were closed. Bile rose up at the back of his throat, the sight was too horrible for him to take, and Heeseung threw up heavily on the seat. It was mainly just water and the Japchae he'd eaten at the restaurant with the now deceased driver and there was something red as well. Infact there was more red stuff than actual food or water. Heeseung titled his head slightly, causing his pain receptors to scream in protest because of the simple movement.
It took another few minutes for Heeseung to realize he was loosing blood as well, and fast. He could feel the pain in both his arms where the glass shards had pierced them. His stomach hurt as well. Scratch that. It burnt like hell.
With major effort, Heeseung opened his eyes again, trying his best not to look at his driver. He lowered his tear streaked gaze to his stomach where he could see a particularly large piece of glass sticking out of it. Blood was pouring out collecting under his leather jacket and made a nasty squelching sound when he tried to move. Something seemed to have hit his head as well, because why was blood pouring down like rain into his eyes? Heeseung reached out to slowly remove the shard of glass from his stomach, then stopped hazy mind remembering the safety lectures Jay had given to all of them, to never ever remove something that had penetrated your skin, because that would only increase the loss of blood. A metallic smell stung the air combined with the smell of vomit and Heeseung almost threw up again.
A loud noise interrupted the ghastly silence, his ringtone. His phone was going crazy, it appeared to have been ringing for the past few minutes but, Heeseung too preoccupied with his thoughts, the crash and the loss of blood hadn't acknowledged it.
Feeling his dizziness and disorientation increase, he leaned down to pick it up. Hopefully, if he answered it he could get someone to find the driver's family and take care of them. Picking it up he noticed that the screen was barely scratched. It looked perfectly fine and in operating condition, probably because the shattered glass that was supposed to have destroyed it had been blocked by something. Which happened to be him.
Still unable to comprehend the fact that he had two window panes inside of him Heeseung managed to slide the little green icon to the right picking up the call and shutting off the annoyingly loud ringtone that had a personal problem with his headache, who thanked him for it. At any other time Heeseung would have found this odd, and needless to say, extremely concerning, but he was too out of it to notice.
The call connected, and it looked like a group video chat from all six members. Six faces filled the slightly cracked screen, Jake appeared to be sitting behind Sunghoon both of them talking animatedly to each other, none of them were looking at him, not having realized that he had picked up. Heeseung stayed silent unable to speak, for that would require an amount of energy he was sure he didn't possess at the moment.
It was only when Sunoo turned towards the phone, in an attempt to find something that he'd just dropped on the floor, that he noticed his hyung. He froze staring at the screen in some sort of horrified trance, before a loud scream of Heeseung's name left his mouth and made the other members whip their head so fast toward the screen that Heeseung heard them crick. He winced; forcefully reminded of the drivers state. Something shifted and fell from the now shattered window, who's contents were inside Heeseung, and a bright ray of a street light made its way inside the car and Heeseung's injuries were thrown into further relief for the members to see.
It was a scene none of them would ever forget. Not at the funeral, not in their dreams, never ever in their life.
Terrified gasps and voices came from the phone, oddly distorted. Was the speaker broken or was it just his ears? It made the pounding in his head only increase.
Then all at once it was complete chaos. Questions and loud worried questions at that were directed at him, and Jake who was sitting in Sunghoon's room could be heard frantically dialing a hospital and the police. Heeseung said nothing, mainly because he wasn't able to speak. When he tried to blood went into his mouth and he didn't like the taste at all, so he shut it. From what he could hear, snatches of conversations, two ambulances were being readied to be sent to their location immediately. Police cars were to follow.
He dimly noticed that the members had gone silent save for Sunghoon who was asking him if he could tell them where he was. He frowned in concentration, and Sunghoon thinking that he hadn't understood, repeated the question slowly and loudly. Heeseung's was trying his best to recollect their position, his dazed mind was not being very co operative. It took him a couple of minutes before he suddenly remembered the driver, telling him that they were approaching the Han River bridge, (he realized with a painful pang that had nothing to do with his injuries that those had been Li Hyung's last words.)
It took all that Heeseung had to to utter those two words, telling himself again and again that it was for Li Hyun, his family deserved a proper burial at the very least. Apparently it wasn't loud enough for the members to hear the mumbled words, and Sunghoon gently asked if he could repeat himself. Heeseung couldn't. His head hurt too much, and those two words had taken everything he had, every last bit of energy. Luckily for him Jungwon had extemely sharp ears and had heard the whispered words. Without wasting a second the leader, relayed the information to Sunghoon who then told the hospital. Heeseung heard the person on the other side of the one reply, but his ears didn't work anymore. He was so tried... he just wanted to sleep, close his eyes... just rest...
He could see something bright and orange licking the side of the car door, and suddenly the heat was unbearable. Every part of his body, just hurt so much...
Clearly the members had noticed the flames as well because they were panicking again and Jake could be heard bellowing into his phone, screaming for the ambulance to hurry up. The phone slipped out of his limp hand and landed on the blood and glass covered floor, and instantly the members voices were silenced as the crack of more breaking glass was heard.
Something heavy landed on his head and Heeseung accepted the hand that unconsciousness was extending towards him.
