It was the Sparks first win of the WNBA season, beating the Valks 84-67. Kelsey dropped 37 points, and y/n dropped 25 on their debuts in the Sparks. Fans were looking forward to seeing them keep going off this season. They both came from the Aces so obviously they had a pretty good connection on the court. They also dated on and off not that anybody but their friends knew that.

They got back to LA the next day and of course y/n was gonna hit the club with her girls to celebrate. Some of her Sparks teammates weren't club people but she was, and her friends were more than happy to celebrate with her. But before they hit the club, they had to go shopping first.

"These is the shit right here," she grinned, picking up a pair of heels.

"You gon' have to break those in though," Chrissy added, picking up a different pair she was interested in.

"It's cool. I ain't wearin' them tonight." She shrugged.

They finished shopping for heels and decided to get some food. Walking down the street, y/n got noticed a couple times so she stopped to take pictures with fans. She signed a Kelsey Plum shirt as well before they continued walking. "So..how's it goin' with Kelsey? Y'all talk outside of basketball?"

The mention of Kelsey always made her feel upset or happy. It depended on the day. "Nope. She asked for space so I'm giving it to her."

"But y'all ain't in Vegas no more. You could spark up your relationship again." She smirked, receiving an annoyed look. "You're very proud of the pun, aren't you?"

She nods, "yes, I am. Best one yet."

"There's nothing to spark up. I'm happy being single."

"Bullshit. You couldn't stay single if you tried."

"Okay- fuck you."

"No thanks. Call Kelsey."

"What's up, Chrissy?"

Chrissy glanced at her friend before stepping out of the room to talk. "Hey, Kels. I just wanted to let you know y/n is gon' be at the club tonight wit' me and the girls if you wanted to stop by..celebrate with us."

"Uh, I don't know. I got a busy day tomorrow."

"That's cool. I'll send you the address, we got a section upstairs if you change your mind."

Y/n walked into the living room, dressed in some low rise pants and a cropped top. It wasn't what she'd usually wear but she was playing it safe. She wasn't even gonna wear her platforms because she had to protect her ankles. She had to sit out the preseason just because she sprained her ankle in training camp. And besides, she could go clubbing fully clothed and still look hot.

"Are these too low?" She asked, referring to her pants. She had a lot of stomach showing but it was okay because her abs made it worth it..and her tattoos, obviously.

"A little bit...but you look hot so it's fine. It's giving Britney Spears," Chrissy shrugged, making y/n smile and nod in agreement. "Love her."

Kelsey hated the club. Yet somehow, she found herself there on a Saturday night. She didn't come for anybody else. She came all the way over only for y/n. She was tired of dodging her, scared she'd go out and run into her. Maybe them both landing in LA was a sign.

She got to the section on the second level, finding Rae and Rickea already there like they had mentioned in the group chat. "I didn't know you were coming! You want a drink?" She glanced down on the floor level, eyes landing on y/n, her pants down low hanging off her hips as she danced with Cam.

The whole club environment made her feel antisocial, complete opposite of y/n. She was having a mostly one-sided conversation with Rickea who was rambling about something as she kept her eyes on y/n. Her jaw clenched slightly seeing a guy move in to dance with her girl. The urge to go down there was strong, but she was working on her self control for this exact reason. Y/n was hot, she had people come up to her all the time. Another reason they split 'cause Kelsey had serious jealousy issues.

She still needed to work up the courage to make her way over to her. So, that called for drinks. Rounds after rounds. "Come wit' me," Rickea said, pulling Kelsey along, drink in her hand. She walked over to the DJ to request a song and he immediately recognized the ball players. "Yo, we got Kelsey Plum and the Sparks in the building!"

"What?" Y/n stopped her movements to look over to the DJ, eyes laying on Kelsey. She found herself smiling, looking away before she got more flustered.

Losing all self control, Kelsey walked out the section. She headed downstairs, moving through the crowd to take y/n's hand. "Come on." Y/n bit back a smile, following her to a mostly empty hallway. "What you doin' here?" She asked, leaning against the wall, hand still in Kelsey's as she ran her thumb over her skin.

"Came to see you," she answered.

She chuckled softly, shaking her head, "nah."

"What? Besides you, there ain't nobody else to see here. Is that so hard to believe?"

She nods, "yeah, it is. Thought you wanted space?"

"Come on, you know I didn't mean it like that."

"I know, but I gotta give you some trouble or I'll sound easy," she shrugged, smiling down at her. She was the taller one in this case, but the height difference hardly changed a thing. She brought her hand closer to her heart, a small smirk curling up her glossed lips, "I miss you."

"I came all this way to see you. You're gonna have to prove it." Kelsey said, just begging for y/n to walk her out already. Sometimes she couldn't tell if y/n was genuine or not because she was always lying. But hey, she couldn't fault her there. They both lied about a lot of things. So much their words became see-through.

She smiled, "you wanna get antisocial, baby? We could head home." She didn't wait for an answer, taking Kelsey's hand to walk her out.

They stepped outside and y/n turned around to bring her closer before leaning down to bring their lips together. They could taste the liquor on each other's lips. She sighed, the cool air hitting their skin. She slipped her arms around her waist, pressing another peck to her lips. "You still hate the club?"

Kels laughed, nodding her head, almost stumbling back but she held her still. "I love you but I'll always hate the club."
