Gracelynn Jaeger knew this. She had known it ever since she was five years old. At that time, destruction had disguised itself in the form of man. The man who had claimed her mother as his own and left Gracelynn as a speckle of nihility. Ordinarily, life continued, even without the liveliness of her birth father, and without the love of her mother.

Gracelynn took every hit that was given to her, accepting the bruises that cast over her body and her mind.

Finally, Gracelynn was set free. Free from every hell that had brought her up, free to learn what she had always dreamed of. Her life was settled with her newfound sense of hope, the four-letter word shown to Gracelynn in the form of her own best friend.

Unfortunately, as Gracelynn would learn, you're never truly free. That's the whole thing about destruction, it's favourite time to strike? The unexpected. Her final fight, her final cry had been the worst of all—the one person she would give her life up for. What Gracelynn didn't expect was for it to drive her to the one place she was always destined to be.

The 118 had destruction written all over it and yet, hope was the outline.

I know it's in the majority of fanfics, Buck will most likely be her love interest HOWEVER, there are multiple seasons and Buck gets around so Gracie defo will too. This is a SLOW BURN.
