Saturday morning rolled around faster than Estrella could say ay dios mio and she was petrified.
"Bring the win home for Slytherin today won't you?" A 6th yearwitch walked passed the two armchairs in the corner of the Slytherin common room.
Occupying them was a pale-faced, motionless Estrella, who nodded at the girl absent-mindedly before returning her gaze to the green embers of the fire, and Isabella who paid her no mind as she tried coaxing her best friend out of her absent state.
"You've done this a million times before," Isabella put a hand on her knee. "What makes this one so different?"
"Because I was the best out of a 'dreadful' bunch. You heard Marcus, none of us were up to par!"
"Marcus is just saying that because he's an arse, he would not have picked you if he didn't think you were going to help Slytherin win."
"He only picked me because of my Firebolt. He liked the extra speed it gave me."
"Well then you're already at an advantage, so use it," Isabella stressed, standing up and grabbing Estrella's arms and pulling her up. "Come on, you need to eat before you pass out in the air."
"Maybe I'll just starve then." Estrella quipped.
Isabella punched her in the gut for that.
Entering the Great Hall, the two headed to the Slytherin table. Isabella forced Estrella to sit, filling her plate with an assortment of proteins and placing it in front of her. "Eat."
And so she did, blocking out all kinds of negative thoughts that made her legs lock up. Estrella was doing well, her plate almost cleared and with every bite feeling a little more assured, that was until a shadow cast over her plate of food, a shadow she knew would bring no good.
"Marcus must've been drunk off his head on Firewhiskey to have picked you," Malfoy's voice rang out about her. Estrella turned around to see him in Quidditch uniform and gaped in shock. "Seriously, your version of Quidditch is probably underwater."
"Wait- You're on the team?"
"Yes," Malfoy stressed the hiss. "I'm the seeker."
Estrella felt giggles climbing up the back of her throat, tears brimming in her eyes with amusement. "You can't be serious? You? The same idiot who has been using his broken arm for attention is Slytherin's seeker."
"I'll have you know-"
"Know what? That Marcus is letting anyone in? Yeah, I might've played Quidditch underwater but at least I didn't practice hiding behind my Father's fat arse."
"You little-"
"What Draco? Tell me what I am." Estrella pouted at him, standing up till they were head to head. Draco matched her glare, his eyes flickering over her face, but ultimately he stayed silent his anger radiating off of him instead.
"Save that for the pitch yeah? The Snitch is going to need it." She left two patronising pats on his shoulder before turning away and heading out of the Great Hall.
"What the hell!" Isabella whisper-shouted once they were out of earshot. "You gagged him."
"One thing for certain, I don't let myself get bullied. Especially by a boy."
"Hey! Estrella!" A voice shouted out from behind them, a voice Estrella could pinpoint anywhere. "What was the issue with Malfoy just then?" Harry asked as he reached her.
"Nothing, trying to throw me off my game I guess." She shrugged, reaching up to balance his crooked glasses.
"You okay?"
"Oh she's more than okay, she silenced him!" Isabella shouted, throwing her head back. "Ella didn't let him get a word in, it was brilliant."
"Good, he needs to be kicked off his high horse more often," Harry smirked.
"Don't worry, he won't be rid of us any time soon."
"How are you feeling about today's match?" Harry asked, slipping in the middle of the two girls.
"Like Slytherin is going to annihilate Gryffindor, it's just the weather for it."
As they reached the grand doorway of the castle, their steps slowed as they took in the sight before them.
Rain.
Torrential rain.
The kind of rain was accompanied by wind that was blowing so hard the droplets were being carried along the stone pathways as though they were waves.
"Just the weather huh?"
"Shut up Harry."
『••✎••』
The droplets pelted against Estrella's cheeks like shards of glass, as she whipped through the air shooting goal after goal in. Her muscle memory kicked in as soon as the whistle rang and she was immensely grateful.
"And Consuelas scores again! 10 points to Slytherin, she is bringing that Spanish sizzle!" Lee Jordan's voice faintly rang over the violent winds thrashing against her. Spanish sizzle the young witch smirked shaking her head.
Harry, however, was agitated, to say the least, his goggles kept fogging up no matter how many times his numb lips muttered tergeo to get rid of the condensation collecting. He turned his head, squinting to catch sight of the snitch, quickly ducking as a flyaway umbrella narrowly missed his head.
Taking a lap around the pitch, he watched Estrella from afar zig-zagging to get Angelina Johnson off her trail, dipping low before she came back up, her arm rearing back as she yet again scored.
Estrella did not come to lose, no sir and by the looks of it the crowd was going insane.
Something flickered in his peripheral, Harry quickly catching sight of the Snitch and racing after it. Malfoy took note and started racing after him and once he managed to fly parallel, tried his best to knock Harry off his broom.
"Fuck off Malfoy!" Harry shouted, shoving back.
"Fat chance," The blond-haired boy sneered, "That snitch is mine!" Draco shot forward, gaining on the Snitch, his arm outstretched before him as he charged towards a large, angry thundercloud. At the last moment, the Snitch broke left and Malfoy was struck as the thundercloud spat out sparks of lightning. The electricity travelled up the boy's arm to the top of his head, making his once-gelled slick hair stand up and fray out on the ends. Harry hovered, holding his stomach as he bent over his broom, bouts of laughter shaking his body as he watched his arch-nemesis fall backwards and plummet back towards the pitch.
His chuckle quickly ceased as the Snitch appeared in front of him. Harry made a swipe to grab it but of course, it darted.
Clutching his broom, Harry whipped around trying to catch a glimpse, flying higher and higher until the clouds themselves started to placate. All but one. Squinting his eyes, the young wizard leaned forward slightly as a crack of lightning illuminated a shape in the cloud. The Grimm.
The Snitch appeared once more, flying over his head and taking Harry further up. He felt the air get thinner, his breaths quickening as he charged on, breaking through the clouds and for the first time in his life, wishing he had never chased the Snitch.
Dementors.
Swarming the space as though they were bees waiting to sting, Harry backed up, turning around to fly back the way he came but the Dementors were quicker.
Bony fingers clamped around his neck as the Dementor opened his mouth, the smell of his putrid breath burning Harry's nostrils. His hand gripped the Dementors trying to break free of his grasp but he felt himself get weaker and weaker.
"Harry!" Estrella's raw, panicked scream came from behind him as his strength started to dissipate, his arms and legs becoming jelly, his Nimbus 2000 falling with nothing to keep it in place and his eyes rolled to the back of his head as he gave into the agony.
The young witch knew something was wrong when she hadn't caught sight of him on the pitch for a while. The feeling of longing mixed with dread as he ventured further and further away. She couldn't focus, her mind going crazy with the need to see him, to know he was okay.
"Harry! Where is Harry!" Estrella shouted to Fred and George, the team's beaters. The two boys shrugged their shoulders, but something falling caught their eye. Draco's stiff body.
Estrella's heart jumped out of her throat. If Draco looked like that, falling from up there, what the hell would Harry be?
"I'm gonna go up!" She shouted to the twins who nodded, slightly wary and confused.
"Be careful!" George shouted to her.
"Slytherin is dragging us through the mud anyway, thanks to her," Fred grumbled, hitting the bludger and laughing as it knocked Warrington off to the side.
Her stomach pulled her towards him, carrying her higher and higher than she would like. Don't look down She begged herself, pressing on through the winds that beat her and the rain that ran her cheeks raw.
"Harry! Harry!" She screamed to no avail. "Harry where are you!"
She carried on further, seeing a giant mass of cloud, and as each strike of lightning illuminated what was behind Estrella wasted no time darting forward. Dementors, what the hell were they doing here?
Breaking through the clouds her eyes landed on Harry, Dementor wrapped around his neck. She screamed his name, watching as he fell limp and the Dementor started to feed.
A dementor gripped her leg, another her shoulder pulling her back as she tried to get close.
"No! Stupefy!" She shouted, an arm outstretched she stunned them one away, the other coming up before her, reaching out to grasp her neck and again she was stunned, watching as he fell from her vision.
Her eyes locked in on Harry, flying closer and tried to stun the Dementor but nothing happened.
"What?" She looked at her hand, "Stupefy! Stupef-" Her voice cracked as no matter how hard or how many times, nothing happened.
"Leav-Leave him alone! No, stop it." She descended into her madness, their bond feeling tight, pulling so hard as Harry was being dragged away.
But,
The Dementor couldn't hold him up, its bony fingers unable to keep his dead weight suspended and finally, it let Harry go.
Estrella felt the world slow down as she watched Harry's near-lifeless, pale body drop. That was it, her lifeline plummeting before her.
She darted down, begging her Firebolt to go faster but Harry was always out of reach. They broke through the clouds, the Quidditch pitch back in sight and Harry wasn't slowing down.
It was now or never, she had to try and catch him or it would be all her fault.
Just as they made it above the pitch, Estrella pushed herself forward, kicking off the broom and grabbed Harry's hand to pull him towards her.
The young witch had sealed her fate. Estrella Maria Consuelas was now Harry James Potter's forever.
The world slowed, rain and wind pausing and sucking in from a sphere around them. Estrella lost consciousness as the surge of power from their bond overcame her body.
It was angry, magic fizzing out from all of their joints, travelling to their hands and rapidly forming golden, shimmering ropes around them.
The audience's world had changed. A summery, light spring day. Cloudless with no wind, almost as though they were in still life.
Their friends all looked on intently, Hagrid stood behind them shouting for someone to do something but Dumbledore shook his head, intently waiting for the bond to run its course.
Hermione had made her way to the teacher's stands, shouting for Dumbledore to help them. Ron stayed, leaning out of the stands, trying to make out what was happening.
It was different for Kiana, Inaya and Isabella, however. Something was changing, something fell off. As though a great power was awakening inside them, a consciousness that was fighting to break out. They grabbed their heads as an unbearable headache ripped through them.
It was all happening so fast, the bond working rapidly as it had been denied for too long. Their minds were merging, bridges forming between Estrella and Harry, their hearts and fates intertwining forevermore.
Finally, thin circles of magic, started as small rings above their heads, widening to encase their shoulders, hips and thighs, formed around them. Their unconscious corpses are suspended in air and time.
It was the final crucial moments, the bond was so close, that any interruptions now would result in immediate death. Their noses touched, their joint hands in between their stomachs, their soft, light breaths fanning each other's lips.
The rings from their heads started to move down, the rings from their feet doing the same. Each one merged with the last until a hoop surrounded their stomachs.
It was done.
From now until her last moments, Estrella Consuelas and Harry Potter were tied, bound together in mind, body and soul.
Soulmates.
The ring exploded, the sphere around them breaking and releasing the angry clouds and harsh winds back into the skies. The explosion fanned out, the magic touching every living soul in that arena, dousing them with a light rush of electricity.
For Kiana, Inaya and Isabella, there was a snap. As soon as the magic touched them it was as though a dam had finally broken free and with it came immense power, power they couldn't handle, power that surged through them and knocked them out.
The five bodies collapsed, hitting the ground, there was a pause of silence and then chaos ensued.
Hagrid pushed through the crowd, making his way to the pitch and rushing toward Harry.
"Someone get the girl!" He shouted, Professor Lupin breaking through the mass of children and picking up Estrella.
"HAGRID!" Ron's voice bellowed, an unconscious Kiana leaning against him. "ISABELLA AND INAYA NEED HELP."
Professor Snape and Dumbledore appeared behind them, "We've got them, Mr Weasley, Let's get to the Hospital Wing."
As they hurried back to the castle Snape called on Dumbledore, "It is done?"
"Yes," Dumbledore nodded solemnly, "It has begun."

"He looks a bit peaky, doesn't he?" Ron quipped.
"Peaky? What do you expect? They fell over 100 feet." Fred scoffed.
"And not to mention his soul-tying business," George poked him. "Let's walk you off a tower and see what you look like."
Harry's eyes opened, squinting at the bright morning light. His head pounded, but also felt heavy as though he had two brains at once.
"Probably a right sight better than he normally does." Harry chuckled, shifting in the bed slightly.
Opening his eyes fully he saw the faces of his friends and smiled. His eyebrows furrowed slightly, "Where's Estrella?"
"She's getting some tonic for her headache," Hermione pointed. "She'll be back soon. How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine...what happened? The Dementor didn't kiss me so what happened after?"
"Well, you fell off your broom and went Ella saved you and then..." Fred started, sitting down next to Harry.
"Well, when Ella grabbed you it was like...the world stopped. You two were inside this big ball of thunder and lightning and well..." George looked lost for words.
"Your bond," Hermione started, looking a little dejected. "Because you two are soulmates and forgot to tell us. Harry how could-"
"Hermione he just woke up! Grill him after."
"Our bond, it's done? Like Estrella and I are tied?"
"Yes Harry, and she's distraught."
"Wow." Harry looked down at his hands, where they even his hands anymore? Did he share everything with Ella now? He tried to think back to what Dumbledore had told them but the headache worsened.
"Who won the match?"
"Well, no one blames you, Harry. The Dementor's aren't supposed to be on the grounds. Dumbledore is furious." Hermione started, looking out the window behind his head.
"Slytherin won," Fred grumbled. "Estrella scored over 450 points alone, she's a menace at Quidditch. Best Chaser I've ever seen."
"Yeah, she was incredible." Harry smiled, pride swelling in his chest. Looking around the room his eyes caught sight of three bodies that looked very familiar.
He shot out of bed recognising Kiana's scarred palm and raced over. "Wha-what happened to them?" He raced in between their beds, and ended with Inaya whose hair was blonde and had...whiskers?
"We don't know, they passed out when the big cloud ball broke. We heard Madam Promfrey talking and well...they've got some kind of magic." Ron went to stand by Kiana, playing with her loose curls.
"Isabella can't open her eyes without yelling and Inaya was having nightmares. Kiana...well nothing happened yet but she had to be put to sleep because her head was in pain."
"She kept saying she could hear everything." Hermione stood beside Harry, handing him his glasses.
Slow footsteps came towards them, the group all turning their heads to see a red-faced Estrella with watery eyes.
Harry, Her voice rang out in his head making his eyes widen. Can you hear me?
He took a step back in shock. Yes I can, how is this happening? Is it the bond?
Estrella nodded her head. We can talk to each other, in our heads. Pretty crazy right?
Why have you been crying? Harry walked towards her and pulled her into a hug.
I don't know, it's just all so crazy. Estrella tucked her head into his neck. It felt so good to hug him. I'm not upset this has happened, I'm happy being yours it's just...I was so worried about what my parents would think.
Being mine? Harry smiled cheekily earning a slap on his shoulder Don't worry about this, I'm your's too, we'll face your parents together. You won't see them until Christmas anyway.
"What the hell is going on with you two? You look crazy!" Ron walked up between them and pushed them apart.
"Sorry," Estrella wiped a tear from her cheek. "It's the bond, we can talk without speaking to each other."
"You two, once the girls are up have a hell of a lot of explaining to do. No more keeping us in the dark!" Hermione pointed at them menacingly.
"Hermione I promise, once we're all good we will tell you everything!"
"Even about them," Hermione pointed behind her to their unconscious friends.
"I-We don't know anything about that." Estrella brought her hands to her shoulders, pleading her innocence.
"Did anyone manage to find our brooms?" Harry asked no one in particular.
"Well, Estrella's broom landed on the pitch," George pointed to the broom resting against her bed. "But Harry, when you fell..your broom sort of blew into the Whomping Willow and well.."
George picked up a mess of twigs and sticks and placed them on Harry's bed. Unfolding it, lie Harry's Nimbus 2000, in pieces.
"We're so sorry Harry," Estrella rubbed his shoulders, "We can get you a new one in no time!"
"Yeah..." He picked up what used to be the handle and stared at the gold engraving Nimbus 2000, feeling sick to his stomach.
Suddenly, panicked shrieking voices sounded out behind the double doors getting nearer and nearer. In burst a woman sobbing, dragging her husband behind her. She walked over to Kiana's bed and threw herself on her daughter's body. Her husband looked around, slightly embarrassed and tried to pull her off.
"It's not like the girl is dead, she's just asleep." Ron rolled his eyes, watching Kiana's mother cover her mouth with her hands to conceal her sobs.
After them came Inaya's parents who unpacked bags filled with cushions and blankets to make her rest more comfortable. For a moment the girl started to fidget, shaking her head as though she was trying to get away. Her mother jumped up to soothe her while her father complained.
The headmaster tried to calm them down, asking them to sit quietly. Harry, Estrella, Hermione and Ron bid goodbye to Fred and George who headed to get themselves cleaned up. The quartet occupied Estrella's bed and observed quietly.
Isabella's parents entered calmly, her mother dressed in pure elegance and her father brooding. As his eyes fell on his sleeping daughter they softened, loving sweeping the hair back from her forehead and grabbing her hand. "She's going to be okay William," Her mother assured him. "Our daughter is strong."
Lastly, with footsteps strong and cane tapping with every step, the woman beside him blank, though her eyes frantic as she looked around the Wing. Estrella gasped, the familiar feeling of nausea creeping up her stomach. Emmanuel and Aquila Consuelas stood in the doorway of the Hospital Wing, sending a chill down the quartet's spines.
"Estrella," Emmanuel stated, code for 'Come here now'. She walked towards him, Harry in tow and looked him and her mother in the eye. "What a mess this day has been."
"Yes Father, a crazy one."
Aquila gripped her daughter's shoulders and pulled her in for a hug. "Mama, are you upset?" Estrella looked up, a little scared.
"No mi corazon, how could I be? It was out of your control."
"And who is this young man?" Emmanuel stared at Harry, hard and cold. Harry thought he would piss himself.
"I'm Harry-Harry Potter. I'm Estrella's-"
"Soulmate Papa, Harry and I, we...bonded...today."
"Yes, you two have become...one."
The two nodded their heads.
"Parents, children," Dumbledore started, "Once we get these children fed, please join me in my office after dinner, one by one, and we can discuss any worries you may have."
"Give us a tour won't you two? Emmanuel rolled his eyes, turning away from the Headmaster. "Your mother and I would like to see the castle."
"Yes Papa, Harry and I will get dressed and we can show you starting from the Great Hall."
Emmanuel said nothing and Estrella walked between her parents, leading them to the Slytherin Common Room.
Get yourself clean and dressed, meet me at the entrance of the Great Hall in 30 minutes Estrella instructed. Bring Hermione and Ron too, they'll know what to say.
"Mama, Papa I can show you my common room?" Her parents nodded walking ahead. "Guys, game faces on, my parents need to be pleased."
Hermione, Harry and Ron nodded.
"See you on the flip side." Ron saluted, watching as the three walked away.
"I thought I was going to piss myself," Harry breathed for what felt like the first time in hours.
"Her father is a scary scary man." Ron nodded. "Estrella's life must be dreadful."
"Ron!"
