SEVERUS SNAPE WAS not the kind of person you'd take for a joke or even try to mess with for that matter. A few words to describe him would be cold, calculating, precise, sarcastic, and bitter. But there's always a reason for that, you just have to look really... really deep.

Laughter filled the classroom that was once Professor Lupin's. Professor Snape pulled out his wand, closing the shutters on then windows as he walked by.

He pulled down a white board before turning to the class. "Turn to page three hundred ninety four."

Everyone did as he said, but all Harry had on his mind was Professor Lupin.

"Excuse me, sir," Harry spoke up. "Where's Professor Lupin?"

"That's not really your concern, is it, Potter?" Snape sneered. "Suffice it to say that your professor finds himself incapable of teaching at the present time."

Snape drifted towards the back of the classroom where an old roll of film had a slideshow prepared for the class. "Turn to page three hundred ninty-four."

In the middle of the classroom, he spotted Ron dozing off and not on the correct page. He pulled out his wand once again and commanded the pages to flow to the right one. He watched as Ron jumped in his seat, his eyes widened at the subject they were learning.

"Werewolves?" Ron gasped.

Hermione turned. "But, sir, we've just begun learning about Red Caps and Hinkypunks. We're not meant to start nocturnal beasts for weeks."

"Quiet."

"When did she get here? Did you see her come in?" Ron inquired.

"Now, which one of you can tell me the difference between an Animagus and a werewolf?" Snape wondered.

The class was silent, except for Hermione who immediately sprung her hand up in the air.

"No one? How disappointing," Snape sighed.

"Please, sir. Animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal," Hermione informed. "A werewolf had no choice. With each full moon, when he transforms, he no longer remembers who he is. He'd kill his best friend if he crossed his path."

The slideshow changed. "Furthermore, the werewolf only responds to the call of its own kind."

Draco howled with a smirk on his features, getting a chuckle out of Crabbe. But Hermione paid him no mind, keeping her attention on the board.

"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy," Snape said. "That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?"

"He's got a point, you know?" Ron whispered to Harry.

"Five points from Gryffindor," Snape added. "As an antidote to your ignorance, and on my desk by Monday morning, two rolls of parchment on the werewolf, with particular emphasis on recognizing it."

"Sir, it's Quidditch tomorrow," Harry pointed out.

Snape crowded around his desk. "Then I suggest you take extra care, Mr. Potter. Loss of limb will not excuse you. Page three hundred and ninety-four."

As he turned to the next page, he glanced at Draco who gave him a nasty look. The note showed a moving sketch of Harry getting hit by a lightning bolt at the next Quidditch match.

————————————

EVEN WITH the stormy weather, that didn't mean they would cancel Quidditch. After all, this is Hogwarts. The match today was Hufflepuff Vs Gryffindor. Students had to wear coats, hats and bring their umbrellas with them in order to watch the game unfold.

"Go, Harry!" Hermione yelled.

Lighting clashed from the skies, nearly getting Harry on his broom. One of the players on the Gryffindor team was about to collapse from her broom going haywire.

Harry was panting for breathe, the wind in his face and having to squint his eyes in order to see. Cedric Diggory was right behind him, his arm reaching out for the Golden Snitch. Cedric was nearly there if it weren't for the blast of lightning that hit him, causing him to fall.

Now it was Harry's chance, almost getting distracted by a cloud in the form of a wolf, he nearly missed the Golden Snitch. He started reaching for it, moving left and right before flying up into the air. As he got up higher, he entered the domain of the Dementors.

As he got up higher, he paused, falling back down a little before coming face to face with a Dementor. The Dementor began sucking out all the happiness out of him, knocking him off of his broom.

The crowd gasped as Harry fell to the ground. Dumbledore was furious, raising a hand to the air. "Low Momento!"

"YEAH, COME ON, Ron, let's walk you off to the Astronomy Tower and see what you look like," Was the first thing Harry heard as he blinked his eyes open. All the Gryffindor's were crowded around him, all of them laughing at a joke made by Ron and Fred.

Harry grunted as he used his elbows for support. The others stepped back a little as Hermione bent down to check on her friend.

"How are you feeling?" Hermione questioned.

"Oh, brilliant," Harry sighed.

"You gave us a right good scare there, mate," George informed as he sat down on one knee besides him.

"What happened?"

"Well, you fell off your broom," Ron told him.

"Really? I meant the match. Who won?"

Hermione looked around the room before standing up. "Um, no one blames you, Harry. The dementors aren't supposed to come inside the grounds. Dumbledore was furious."

"As soon as he saved you, he sent them straight off," Hermione added.

"There's, uh, something else you should know too," Ron presented him with his messed up broom. "When you fell, your room, it-it sort of blew into the Whomping Willow and..."

THE SOFT AIR from the aftermath of the storm blew through the cracks that were left of the windows ( Y/N ) had shattered the previous night. Hagrid was out doing Hogwarts business, which ( Y/N ) couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy over.

Part of her punishment was sweeping the glass remains that laid on the plank floor that was Hagrid's hut. With some hope remaining, ( Y/N ) dropped the broom and drifted towards the radio. She tried turning it on again and again, but it was useless and the hope died.

With no other options, she hovered a shelf back into place and began to place all the books and the puzzle back on the shelves where they once stood.

She got out a broom and started sweeping the floor before pausing at a crooked plank. She craned her next, moving the table that was blocking it. After opening it up ( Y/N ) bent down and discovered a storage room full of boxes. One with a particular label; London Labs.

She grunted, using all the strength she had to get it out of the secret room. Once she opened it up, she discovered newspapers, files photos of the lab she once called home.

"Ives. Terry," ( Y/N ) breathed out as she opened a file.

"Alina," ( Y/N ) read.

One photo she discovered had a terrifyingly familiar man besides the woman that seemed to be the main objective of most of the files she found.

"Mama, papa," Her finger drifted from the man to the woman.

An idea clicked inside her mind. She glanced at the broken radio, but then spotted the walkie talkie Hagrid learned how to use for her. She messed around with some knobs and static echoed through her ears. She placed on her blindfold and now all she had to do was wait.

————————————

HER FEET plopped in the waters of the void. It was a dark space, like a mirror almost. Standing before her was a woman in a rocking chair, muttering the same words over and over.

This was her only chance to find out who she truly was. She slowly stepped towards the woman, staring at the figure whose eyes were closed. ( Y/N ) placed herself right in front of her, watching as the unbelievable happened; her eyes finally opening. Her eyes widened in shock.

"Alina," Terry breathed out.

( Y/N ) tilted her head. "Mama?"

( Y/N ) stepped forward, placing her hand on hers. Just as she did, her mother started fading like mist. ( Y/N )'s eyes became red from the tears forming.

"Mama!" ( Y/N ) yelled.

( Y/N ) fell to the watery ground of the void, sobbing into her knees. On the outside, she was calling for her mama too. It was all real, she had someone and that someone was gone.
