"I SEE A LITTLE SILHOUETT-O OF A MAN! SCARAMOUCHE, SCARAMOUCHE! WILL YOU DO THE FANDANGO?"

Clover rolled her eyes as she watched Juliette and Hugo jump onto the tent's couch. The girl sighed as they continued to sing, knowing that it had only been an hour since the match had ended and the two were already completely wasted. Clover exchanged a quick look of displeasure with Cedric, who took a swig of firewhiskey to try to drown out his friend's awful vocals.

"THUNDERBOLTS AND LIGHTNING! VERY, VERY FRIGHTENING ME!"

It really came as no surprise that Ireland had won, not only were their plays amazing, but their ability to work together was outstanding and that was something that Clover admired a lot about the team. Due to Ireland's win, Amos had indeed found some firewhiskey, and he'd left some behind as he went out to celebrate the win with a few of his friends from work. As soon as they knew that they were in the clear, Juliette and Hugo immediately attacked the stash, downing it quickly for fun, while Cedric and Clover merely stuck to one bottle each.

And that's how they ended up here, with Clover and Cedric on the ground while Juliette and Hugo turned with their fingers pointed at one another, hyping themselves up for the next part of the song.

"GALILEO!" Juliette screeched, throwing her arms out, while Hugo took on the next one.

"GALILEO!"

"GALILEO!"

"GALILEO!"

"GALILEO!"

"GALILEO FIGARO!"

While her friends were borderline AA members, Clover was never a huge fan of drinking, instead, she took up the role of 'the mother', making sure her friends stayed in line and didn't do anything too outlandish. The girl was snapped out of her thoughts by Juliette throwing a pillow in her direction.

"MAGNIFICO, OH, OH, OH!" Juliette screamed, wrapping her arm around Hugo's shoulder as they swayed in unison. Clover gulped and plugged her ears as they screeched their way through the song.

"I'M JUST A POOR BOY, NOBODY LOVES ME!"

Clover winced as Hugo sang the line and promptly 'fell' to the floor, while Cedric clapped and whistled enthusiastically for the dramatics.

"HE'S JUST A POOR BOY FROM A POOR FAMILYYYY!" Juliette sang as she jumped up and down on the couch all while Hugo danced beside her, whereas the only two sober enough to concentrate on their horrific vocals, huffed and each took another swig of the alcohol.

"SPARE HIM HIS LIFE FROM THIS MONSTROSI- oh no..." Clover's eyes widened as the singing ceased and as she looked up she noticed a green tinge making its way across Juliette's face.

"Oh God, Juliette!" She groaned, rushing to help her friend into the bathroom.

Clover scrunched up her nose as Juliette threw up into the tent's toilet. She held back the girl's hair as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the bowl. Once it was clear that Juliette was finished, Clover helped the girl stand and walked her back into the main area. Maybe if she was paying attention, she would've noticed that Cedric jumped backward with a red face while Hugo stood still with a wide grin.

"Um, I'm going to walk Jules back to her tent." Clover started, as she readjusted her grip on the girl.

"Do you want us to come with you?!" Cedric questioned, standing up straighter.

"Nah, I know where her tent is." Clover replied, glancing at the tired girl who groaned as the two walked forward. "I'll be back in a few, I guess..."

With that, Clover exited the tent with Juliette. The two were immediately met with the lively Irish supporters who appeared to be partying like mad. Clover led the girl back to her tent, where her parents were standing outside talking to another set of people. The girl instantly groaned at the sight, knowing that she'd have to create some lie to get Juliette out of trouble.

"Juliette? Clover?" A woman called out as the two girls walked closer.

"Hey, Mrs. Garrows!" Clover replied awkwardly as she forced Juliette to stand up straighter while her mother approached.

"What happened? We weren't expecting her back for another few hours!" Anita chuckled and although she kept her tone upbeat, Clover noticed the concern was written all over her face.

"Oh, it's nothing too big." Clover answered, "We were eating Bertie Bott's and Jules here, ate a vomit one and now she's feeling a bit sick."

"Alright." Anita nodded but her eyebrows raised in suspicion. "I can take her from here, Clover." The girl slowly detached Juliette from her, handing the groaning girl over to her mother.

Clover bid the woman and her friend a quick goodbye before she found herself back amongst the crowds. She was only halfway through her journey to the tent when screams began to erupt from all around her. The girl felt her heart slow as the happy singing died out and as people began to scramble aimlessly in different directions. The girl turned around in hopes of spotting Juliette's family only to come up short.

With panicked eyes, she quickly sprinted in the direction of the Diggory tent but Clover didn't get very far. She was suddenly stopped by a hand grabbing her wrist. In fear, Clover spun around with closed eyes and immediately swung her fist, coming in contact with someone's chest.

"Bloody hell, OW!" the person yelped, causing Clover to open her eyes slightly, only to see one of the Weasley twins wincing as he let go of her wrist.

"George, c'mon!" Another voice yelled, causing Clover to look over George's shoulder only to spot Fred and Ginny looking frightfully into the far distance.

"What's happening?!" Clover yelled in panic, over the chaos, trying to be heard by the boy, her eyes widening in fear.

"Uh, I don't actually know..." George answered sheepishly, although his eyes drifted to behind the girl, "But we're going to the portkey, c'mon!"

Clover whipped around as an orange glow illuminated the field around them while something was emitting odd flashes of light and noises like gunfire. The girl froze in fear while more and more people rushed past them.

"I have to find Cedric and Hugo." She stated loudly, trying to run off in the direction she had once been heading, only to once again be pulled back. "Let go!"

"No. You're a muggleborn, right?" The boy replied simply, before scratching his head, and upon noticing her bewildered expression, he sighed. "I know that because you brought one of those muggle music things into Hogwarts last year and it got confiscated."

"Yes, I'm a muggleborn...but what has that got to do with-"

"I heard snippets of what people saw. They saw people in masks resembling skulls acting like terrorists."

"Like-"

"Like Death Eaters, yes."

Clover shook her head in disbelief. How had one of the greatest moments of her life gone from spectacular to life-threatening? The girl looked up at the boy, fear shining in his eyes.

"I'm sure your friends will be at the portkey as well, c'mon." George said hurriedly, grabbing the girl's wrist and urging her in the direction in which Fred and Ginny were running.

As the four ran in unison towards the portkey, tents began to crumble and fall all around them while the screaming seemed to grow louder. The once colored lanterns that had lit the path to the stadium had been extinguished, only adding to the fright Clover was feeling. Her chest tightened as a void-like feeling settled in the pit of her stomach. She allowed her feet to carry her as the four made it into the familiar large clearing located by the portkey.

"Hey! There's Ron and Hermione." Fred called out, pointing through the crowds and towards the redheaded boy and his friend. The four pushed their way through the crowd until they were face to face with the other two. Clover heard the twins say something to Ron and Hermione, but the girl couldn't distinguish what exactly they were saying. She could feel her heart dropping as she silently scoured the field for Cedric and Hugo.

The girl didn't know what she'd do if the two had been caught up with the Death Eaters. Her eyes dropped to the ground in defeat, as she suppressed oncoming tears.

Suddenly a ripple of gasps swept the area as all eyes diverted up to the sky where a large green smoky shape was forming. Clover wasn't stupid. As a young muggleborn in Hogwarts, the girl tried to learn as much of the wizard world's history as possible. She'd learned all about Voldemort and his blood supremacist ways and as The Dark Mark began tracing its way through the night sky, Clover looked to the sky in utter trepidation.

"We're going to go find Harry." Ron told the twins as Clover zoned back into their conversation, and before the twins could protest their younger brother's actions, Ron and Hermione bolted off back towards the campsite.

"Uh...Clover?" She felt a soft nudge to her ribs as the person tried to grab her attention. Clover raised her eyes slowly, coming face to face with the youngest Weasley.

"Yeah?" She spoke up feebly, clearing her throat as she did so.

"I'm pretty sure I just saw your friends are over there." Ginny stated, pointing beyond the crowd that had gathered by the portkey. Clover couldn't even begin to comprehend how the girl had found Cedric and Hugo amongst the mass of people. She allowed herself to scan the crowd again, only to lock eyes with Hugo who stood stiffly beside Cedric, while he seemed to be arguing with his father.

Clover let a gasp slip from her throat before thanking the younger girl. She ran towards Hugo and Cedric who were making their way to her rather quickly. Finally, the three reached each other and Clover felt two pairs of arms engulf her in a tight hug.

"Where were you?!" Cedric questioned, as the girl wrapped her arms loosely around the two boys. "We thought they'd gotten you!"

"Got. help. From. Weasley's." The girl choked from the smothering hug and finally the two detached themselves from her body. Clover subtly pointed behind her at the Weasley twins and Ginny, who stood watching the friends reunite.

"We weren't allowed to look for you."  Cedric scoffed, "Dad said it was 'too dangerous'."

"-And it was." Clover replied with furrowed brows. "Did Juliette make it out okay?"

"I haven't seen her-"

"Her parents are aurors," Hugo interrupted, rubbing his eyes as Cedric glared at the boy for cutting him off. "Of course, she made it out alright." Clover, Cedric, and Hugo, now, stood in a looming silence while those around them began to shuffle off in different directions. Amos finally made his way over to the three, his hand still clasping his wand tightly.

"Alright, the Ministry has cleared and secured the fields and it seems that they all disapparated as soon as the Dark Mark appeared." The man told them, "The best thing we can do now is to go back to the tent and get a portkey in the morning."

"Why can't we just leave now?" Cedric spoke up, folding his arms. "Surely it's not safe to stay here."

"It's out of my hands, Ced." Amos sighed, "We've been told to go back to our tents and wait until the time we were scheduled to leave originally."

Cedric went silent as Amos turned on his heel, making his way back to the tent. The four trudged through the fields, occasionally stumbling over trampled tents and other indistinguishable objects until they eventually reached the tent. The tent seemed to be undamaged upon inspection.

Clover wrapped her arms around herself. The feeling of tiredness and unease hung over her as she made her way to her room without another word. The girl didn't even bother to get changed out of her clothes as she flopped onto the covers of her bed with her head buried into her pillow. As soon as she had settled down, her uneasiness slowly fading she felt a soft poke to her side. Clover slowly pried an eye open, only to come face to face with Cedric and Hugo who stood beside her bed with their pillows and blankets in hand.

"We couldn't sleep?" Cedric offered up, earning a small smile from the girl. Clover exchanged glances with the two boys before pointing to the large rug on the floor. Immediately both boys began setting up their makeshift beds, placing their pillows down on the ground before lying down and wrapping themselves in their blankets.

And so the three lay there in silence, none of them daring to say a word, (despite the fact they were all still wide awake). The Quidditch World Cup was meant to be an unforgettable experience, and it was, just for all the wrong reasons.

AYYY! We got a little Glover moment! So this chapter is lowkey ~ not the best ~ but I fricking adore Juliette and Hugo :)
