The Going Merry was sailing along the calm sea again near the desert shores of Alabasta, the Straw Hats were still on the boat awaiting to arrive where they could dock the vessel, without losing it or leaving it somewhere people couldn't steal it.

In the kitchen sitting on the long chairs at the table was (Y/N) next to her brother Ace, both eating the rice balls Sanji had prepare for the entire crew, and waited for him to get back with something prior to him rushing out in a hurry.

She was now wearing different clothes for the long journey ahead in the desert. Including carpi-length pants, long white fabric pieces draped over her shoulders in a criss-cross going down to her chest meeting just after her ankles, and a shirt that had a white hoodie.

She had white arm wraps ending before her elbows, and wears a leather arm guard on her right arm beside the leather bracelet on her left wrist, followed by the normal ones and the friendship bandage. She also wears black boots, and a belt which she clips her straw hat onto it sometimes.

Also thanks to Ace brining along other pair of his Alabastian clothes, she had a long deseter robe with element motifs around the sleeves draped around her body to cover the exposed skin, similar to his one.

The two of them sat there muching on the rice balls watching Luffy and Usopp play with their food, and it caused the siblings to chuckle a little knowing Sanji would be back anytime soon to kick them out.

Speaking of the devil the kitchen door was soon slammed open very fast, out appearing Sanji in a twirl of his love tornado moving into the room, and held up a dancer girl outfit in his hands.

"(Y/N), my love!" He cooed out standing in front of her, a dopey grin on his face showing off the outfit he wanted her to wear for him, well unless she didn't want to, "Look at what I got for you!"

She paused mid way of eating a piece of rice to swallow it down, blinking rapidly seeing the outfit that exposed too much skin for her liking, and how he was giggling like a love sick puppy over the idea of her wearing it.

"Oh? Uh-" She stood up smiling nervously, brushing off her clothes going to reach for the two piece not wanting to make him upset, "I'll go try it on than for you-"

Before she could thought Ace, Luffy and Usopp all wacked their fists into the side of Sanji's head, "Like hell she will!" They in sync yelled out in scolding, shark teeth appearing getting protective over the younger girl.

She giggled a bit amused at the scene of them all scolding a sulking Sanji on the ground, who was rolling around in a ball mumbling about how he just wanted to make his captain feel, and look nice.

"Gosh, what a pervert." Ace commented with a sigh, and scowled a bit at the cook now getting up by (Y/N) helping him from the floor, "Can't believe you put up with all that, Snips."

She perked up hearing the old childhood name her three brothers gave her, getting that nickname from how quippy her attitude was as a child, and because of how she constantly had scissors to her hair.

Patting Sanji's cheek softly at his teary eyes smiling, and she walked back over to sit beside Ace, "Yeah well, you get use to it." She admitted giggling sweetly.

Ace placed the side of his cheek into his palm on the table also smiling to himself at her words, staring at Luffy and Usopp now getting their turn to get scolded, "Quit playing with our food!" He snarked smacking them on the head with a frying pan, "If you got free time, go was dishes or something!"

"Geez! I need to finish our packed meals before we cross the river!" Sanji grumbled to himself rolling up his sleeves of the blue robe on him, and got to work on doing the dishes in the sink already placed in it.

"Need a hand Ji?" She asked kindly tilting her head to the side, a bright smile across her lips motioning to her brother bestie her drinking some tea, "I'm sure Ace would love to as well."

The blonde face changed from the grumpy one instantly hearing her voice, hearts in his eyes turning to face her cooing, "No need my sweet! You catch up with your brother, let me do all the dirty work." He assured flashing a charming smile.

She felt her ears heat up a bit at his name calling, something that always got her feeling butterflies, and elbowed Aces' side catching his teasing smirk he was sending sat beside her on the chair.

Luffy and Usopp were actually washing dishes like they were told too, but not in the sink water more like in the dirty mop water that was just used to clean the deck, something the two weren't aware of like usual.

"Don't wash the dishes in that mop bucket!" Sanji screeched having his fists balled up in the air, stomping up to them to kick their heads into the floor causing the two observing to laugh some more to themselves.

The group finally arrived at the massive desert island they needed to across, with all of the crew now outside on the deck to see the sandy dunes up head near the edge of the rocky shores.

Zoro was grabbing onto the anchor tied around the ship's railing with Happy perched beside him eating some fish, his fur being covered in robes also to protect him from the sun.

The swordman made a confused noise spotting something down in the sea near the ship, dark silhouettes appearing from underneath, "What's that?" He questioned sharing a look with Happy, who jumped onto Zoro's shoulder to see what it was better.

An seal like creature broke the surface after a second leaping onto the rocky surface of the island, many more also appearing making animal noises at the crew raising their fist up into the air.

"Kung Fu Dugongs!" Vivi exclaimed out seeing the creatures she knew, standing beside the siblings who looked curiously to the water animals on the shore.

"'If you wanna come on shore, you'll have to beat me first!'" Chopper spoke translating what the Dugong was saying moving his flippers around, "'Or else go back to the other shore, cowards!' Is what he says."

Usopp stepped up onto the railing of Merry now looking determined, "I can't sit quietly by when someone calls me a coward!" He claimed rubbing the tip of his nose, "Let's do it!" He jumped off the ship not listening to Vivi's protests, and got himself badly beaten up by the Dugong.

"Kung Fu Dugongs are strong!"

(Y/N) irked angrily at her friend getting hurt from the sea creature, placing Chopper onto the railing who she held in her arms, "Hey! Don't pick on our snipper like that!" She yelled jumping off the ship with Luffy, and sent a kick to the one who beat up Usopp resulting in it to got a bump on the head and for Luffy to celebrate.

"Winning is bad, too!" Vivi panicked sweat dropping at the scene in front of them, and watched in horror as the Dugong's now look at the siblings in awe, trying to ignore Sanji's fan girling over their captain behind her, and Zoro hitting him to shut him up.

"Huh?" Luffy muttered grimacing at the creatures bowing, grabbing his sisters arm to pull her back behind him a bit now not liking where this was going, as some of them were nuzzling into their legs cooing.

"It's a Kung Fu Dugong rule," Vivi began to explain to the others around her, all being in front of the ship railing staring at the two captains on shore, "that if someone loses, they become the winner's pupil!"

All of the sea creatures gathered around the two in the middle, with (Y/N) now having jumped on Luffy's back feeling overwhelmed at all of them looking up at them with sparkly, amazed eyes wagging their flipper tails.

Now I regret helping Usopp, she thought to herself sulking wrapping her legs, and arms around Luffy's body to keep her up, sending a help look back to Happy on board who just snickered being placed on Aces' shoulder, that little shit-!

"Alright, everyone! After me!" Luffy now instructed to group around them, lifting his fists up to demostraight fists punching into the air, and the Dugongs automatically followed along, "That's it! like this!"

This kept going till the crew made it onto the shore also which had (Y/N) getting placed down by Luffy, and for her to run behind a sweat dropping Zoro seeing all the creatures trying to look for her like lost puppies.

"This is why you shouldn't act so recklessly all the time!" He whispered yelled back to her in a scold, lifting one of his hands off his bag straps to flick her forehead gaining a noise from her, "You dork."

She huffed out some air pouting up at him cutely that had him somewhat flushing in the face, and snapped his head away to hide his cheeks hearing Happy's teasing snickers in his ear, making the swordsman stomp back up to Luffy talking to the Dugongs.

Happy landed on the ground next to her carrying a small bag also, "I think you made him embarrassed, (N/N)." He giggled amused up at her, and she made a confused noise in response not understanding what he meant.

"Alright! Let's set out for Yuba!" Luffy called out grinning brigtly, carrying a blue bag over his red robes also having the Dugongs behind him in two, long lines.

Zoro's eye twitched still sweating alarmed at the sight of the sea creatures, "Hold on, now!" He yelled at the other captain incredulously, "Are you brining them with us?!"

"I know what to do!" Chopper perked up in thought standing next to Happy beside (Y/N), him sniffing through the bags all on the ground for the crew now, "Let's see here..."

Happy also got the drift Chopper was going for making his eyes widen, quickly digging through a blue bag also to pull out a slice of fish that had him sulking having to hand it over to the creatures.

"Here!" Chopper and Happy both smiled at the Dugongs holding out the fish, and meat they had found in the supplies, "You can have this! So stay here, okay?"

All the Dugongs than went to tackle to two defencelessness animals for the food, making them yelp out for help getting dragged along the top of them towards somewhere else.

"Happy! Chopper!" (Y/N) cried out watching her two best friends get taken away by the sea creatures, dodging Zoro's hand trying to grab her robes and raced on after them stumbling to get the two screaming for help.

Once that was all sorted with the Dugongs sulking over their new masters departure, the girl had Happy and Chopper safely in her arms placing them both down gently so they could calm their panicked heartrates.

"Hey now, you two!" Nami called in a irritated tone at the siblings, the group now all staring to walk carrying the supplies towards the desert, "Do you understand the current situation?!"

"They said they were coming with me, and (N/N)." Luffy protested whining, sending her a look coming to trail along beside a scowling Nami, "So why couldn't we let them?"

Nami's eye twitched snapping her head fully towards him, instead of eyeing the giggling siblings off, "We couldn't got to any city with that big of a group! You're so dumb!" She hissed through gritted teeth, making (Y/N) smile sheepishly, "We would'be been in big trouble had Happy and Chopper not persuaded them!"

"Yeah!" The said two agreed nodding their heads, as they walked next to each on either side of (Y/N) now holding onto her pants material, "They kept saying, 'We'll accompany you!' They really would've come if we hadn't given them food!"

"And my fish!" Happy sulked through dramatic tears, his big eyes filled with them making Chopper panic waving his hooves around and (Y/N) to pick him up to reassure him that there was plenty of more to eat later on.

Ace looked back at his two younger siblings laughing with each other behind him, himself being placed next to Sanji walking along the sand, "Those two sure know how to cause trouble."

"That's for sure." The cook agreed in a grumble shaking his head, before rustling his blonde locks to glance down at the bracelet she made for him, and murmured fondly to himself, "It's fine though, I don't mind how messy (Y/N)'s troubles are."

Ace raised his eyebrows surprised to hear that coming from a male about his sister, a small smile perking at his lips feeling like Sanji was good enough for her, but yet he still needed to see more before making that decision to leave his kid sister in another males hands.

The group now came to a stop just at the edge of a sand dune, ahead being a town that was barely standing anymore with no human in sight, and pieces of buildings either halfway in the sand or some of the material broken away.

"Is this the town of Yuba?"

Vivi shakes her head at Luffy's questions as the rest of the crew came up to meet them, "No..." She trailed off softly in answer staring straight ahead, "This is Erumalu. It used to be known as the City of Green..."

She turns around to face the confused pirates standing behind her, "The sight of this town explains everything." She continued furrowing her brows deeply, "What the Barouqe Works organisation has done to this country... What the people of Alabasta are going through..."

Leading them down into the eerily quiet run down town, everything in sight was completely dried to the bone and claimed to be the once green town, was no longer of any colour at all. No leaves, no water, no growing trees, nothing.

"Wow, there's nothing here at all." (Y/N) commented in a sad tone, her heart feeling for the citizens who used to live here, and held onto Luffy's hand, that he was swinging back and forth a little bit between them.

"Yes. It's a ghost town now," Vivi claimed softly glancing over the town, placing a hand up to her chest leading the pact in front, "but up until just recently, it was thriving city full of greenery."

Zoro trailed off to the side a little bit going up t the dying tree planted in the sand, "This place was?" He emphasises using his boot to kick the tree that had the bark falling off easily, and for him to get dragged along by (Y/N) toward the group again.

His much larger hand was being held in her tighlty instead of Luffy's one, fingers intertwined walking side by side listening to Vivi talk. His cheeks flushed a bit at the embrace, but it soon turned into a cocky look at Sanji's jealous scowling being thrown at him from up front.

"Rain was always scare, but even so, the city was able to manage." The princess continued to explain her knowledge of the town, "By saving every last drop of rainwater it could." Her face changed into a dreadful expression looking down, "But for three years now, not a single drop of rain has fallen in any part of this country."

This caused the group to stop their walking hearing her words, all expression their disbelief with comments, and it had Zoro squeezing his captains hand also asking Vivi, "But even without rain, what about the river we just crossed?"

"Yeah! Couldn't they just pipe water in from that big river?" Usopp spoke up in agreement with the swordsman, pointing his thumb in the direction of where the said thing was.

Vivi turned her head to face them, only half of it been shown because of the robe hoodie over her, and mumbled quietly loud enough for the crew to hear, "The answer to that is up ahead."

She started to lead the group through the run down town again along the sand, as they all listened closely to her explaining, "Never in the thousand of years of Alabasta's history has the rain stopped completely. But, there was one pace where the rain fell more than usual."

"Alubana, the capital. The city with the kings palace..." She trailed off in deep thought, getting pulled back into her old memories of before the war broke out, "The people called it the King's Miracle. Until what happened that day, at least.."

The crew listened to her tell them about the green powder, that they call 'Rain summoning powder' instead, which was its actual name and what it could bring and do. It also caused Nami to explain her knowledge on it, and told her friends all about it while still walking.

"Hold on! Wouldn't something like that be perfect for this country?" Usopp questioned after the long explanation, and calming down a fuming Luffy when the crew didn't believe he and (Y/N) ate some of the rain powder.

"As the name suggest, the country that developed Dance Powder," Nami began telling him hearing the comment, turning her head back to the sniper male behind her, "was almost happy enough to dance at first. But there was a dig catch: the neighboring country had a drought."

(Y/N) hummed understanding a little nodding her head, licking her dry bottom lip feeling the heat starting to get to her, and felt Zoro's rough thumb tap the back of her hand in his comforting also still beside him.

"When all that Dance Power was brought into the port town," Vivi joined into the conversation again, a heavy frown creasing over her forehead remembering what happened, "Alabasta was in the middle of a strange weather phenomenon where rain fell nowhere but in the town where the king lived."

Luffy scrambled up to where his sister was jumping on her back a little bit, making the girl yelp trying to steady them both, "Hold on, Vivi! That means your dad is the bad guy here!" He exclaimed pointing an accusing finger at the blue haired princess.

"You idiot! He was framed!" Sanji snarled with shark teeth using the top of his shoe to wack Luffy off off his captain, and continued to bonk him causing (Y/N) to panic watching them, "Vivi-chan's father would never do any such thing!"

Vivi closed her eyes for a second sighing shakily, "Of course, my father had nothing to do with it," She stated once more thinking back to the day the event happened, "but at around the same time, a massive amount of Dance Powder was found inside the palace."

They came to a stop at a pathway that was indented into the sand, trailing all along the direction they needed to go and it had Sanji questioning curiously, "What's this road, Vivi-chan?"

"This was a canal that used to bring water in from the Sandora River." She answered quietly gaining surprised sounds from the crew, "Someone destroyed this canal, too. With it's canal gone, the City of Green could no longer secure water. As if praying, the people continued to wait, but rain never came."

Happy and Chopper who were both sweating badly from the hot weather because of their fur, they picked up two rocks standing on the edge of the dry water well, and chucked the rocks inside of it, while (Y/N) made sure they didn't fall in face first.

"Ever since the Dance Powder incident, distrust in the king grows daily. And then the fighting finally began." Vivi continued on talking, the group picking up the walking again along the road path, "To escape the fighting, the exhausted people abandoned the city and left for other oases in search for water. And then..."

They came to a stop again hearing the change of tone in Vivi's voice, with (Y/N) now standing beside Luffy up at the front staring worriedly at the girl, all waiting for her to speak on, "the City of Green withered away."

When Vivi did say those words the wind now picked up a bit around the, making dust fly past their feet along with the sand, and for their clothes to flutter in the howling wind. Everyone became a bit alarmed feeling how strong it was picking up, hearing the howling getting louder in their ears all through the normal quiet streets.

Zoro and Sanji were immediately moving a tad closer to (Y/N)'s body seeing her serious expression on, sensesing she was planning something to stop the wind with her power, which they didn't want her to put herself in harms way for the sake of the crew.

Her hands were placed on top of Happy and Choppers heads who were clinging into her legs scared, hiding behind her from the gust of wind blowing through them all, and blinked away the sand falling into their eyes.

"It's just wind, don't worry." Ace remarks to everyone, having a calm expression holding onto his bag so it didn't fly away in the breeze, and stood beside his sister also keeping an eye on Luffy up front.

"You don't hear that voice?" She question out loud narrowing her eyes on the path in front, enhanced hearing catching the sound of someone's voice in the wind, and it had her swallowing to ease her dry throat trying not to panic.

The wind blew back Vivi's hoodie off of her head now, a yelp freeing from her throat at that and squinted her gaze also, "It's as if...the city of Erumalu is crying."

A small tornado, of wind formed onto the sand now which had the gust instantly picking up more, and gained speed to where the crew was. Vivi exclaimed her warning, before the strong gust of wind was going straight through them all.

Everyone closed their eyes to not get sand in them, holding onto their loose items as the wind was moving on top of them. (Y/N) was protecting the two creatures behind her legs closely, and felt the swordsman and cooks hands press against her lower back also protecting her from the gust of wind with their bodies.

Her (E/C) eyes blink open the best they could through the wind, trying to gain her sight back as they glaze over with a dull orange aura, and spotted a silhouette of something in the middle of the tornado making her gasp softly shocked.

It eventually passed over the group now towards the other side of the path, leaving her wide eyed staring after the wind, and for Zoro and Sanji to glance down at her concerned seeing the state she was in.

Ignore the males' stares on her she patted Chopper and Happy's heads reassuringly without looking at them, turning around to spot a figure of someone's coat on the ground which seemed to a person from the distance they were at.

Her breath hitched worriedly grabbing ahold of Luffy's arm to pull him along with her, as the siblings were the first ones over there, and came to a slow stop realising that the coat wasn't what it seemed.

Vivi's face also dropped from its relieved expression seeing the body which was now only skeleton, that was once a living human walking the town. She slowly fell to her knees in front of it in the sand, her shaking fingers gently touching the skull

"What did my father... What did the citizens of this country ever do?" She began to speak out loud in a small tone, making the crew all frown sadly at her figure on the ground, "These people have worked so hard to live, being natives of a desert land who are forced to fight with nature. Yet he's destroying their lives! What gives him the right to do that?!"

Her shoulders began to tremble badly with tears forming in her eyes, fingers shaking against the skull in her grasp sobbing, "All while, as one of the seven Warlords, he pretends to be a hero of all the people! No one realises he's deceiving the entire country!" She placed her hand up to her forehead, crying out furiously, "I can't let him get away with this!"

The straw hat on her head covered (Y/N)'s eyes from everyone's view, as they watched her quietly kneeled down beside Vivi, who now looked up at the pirate captain in tears streaming down her cheeks.

The Monkey D. girl only flashed a bright grin from under the hat, lifting it up to give Vivi an reassuring look, "And you will stop him," She started off confidently, gently wiping away Vivi's tears with her fingers, "and we'll be there to help you every step of the way."

"Yeah, Vivi! We promised, remember?" Happy also added on cheerily from behind his best friends shoulder, raising his hand up to send her a massive thumbs up smiling widely.

Vivi bit down on her wobbly bottom lip at her words, and heard the crew voice their agreement also wearing kind smiles from behind (Y/N). The princess grabbed the hand she outstretched for her, and was heaved up gently to place the skull in a grave that Ace had dug up for her.

"Let's get moving," Luffy and his sister both spoke up sharing low high-fives with each other, watching Vivi pay her respects to the skull now resting in peace, "We're itching do this now even more now!"
