73 | Infinity

"Ahh," I breathed out as the girls held my body, walking me down the stairs—Yes—I was having contractions. It was the middle of the night and my water decided it was the best time to let itself out.

Neel was behind me, carrying the baby things with Reality helping him. The due date of my pregnancy was in four days and we were all already prepared for it but we didn't expect it to come so early.

"Be careful, Take one step at a time," Nova let out as she and Raven finally helped me down the stairs. "Mommy, be careful," Reality ran in front of me, carrying a beige mini-bag containing some of her little brother's things. "Thank you, sweetheart," I responded to her concern.

"Promise me you'll do well in your tests today?" I let out as I parked the car in Reality's school's parking lot. That was the first time I went out after childbirth as I had to stay hospitalised for a month and spent another month getting better at home. There were a lot of complications during the childbirth because I failed to take proper care of myself.

"I promise!" She exclaimed, startling her two months old brother, Infinity who was extremely sensitive to sounds. Instantly, Infinity began his eardrums shattering cries that comes out in form of screaming.

Babies, Babies are cute BUT insanely hard to take care of and the amount of weight I'd lost in just two months of Infinity coming into my life was somehow unhealthy. Infinity could go all night crying for no reason and not let me get a wink of a sleep—and it would have been better if his cries were normal. They sounded like a screeching sound of a chair getting dragged on the floor but I was finally done mourning the beige man and ready to move on by taking care of my two kids, making sure they get whatever they want.

I looked back from the driver's seat and could already see tears rushing down his little eyes, "He literally just started crying and he already has so much tears—" I slapped Neel's arm before he could finish insulting my son and got down from the diver's seat, bringing Infinity out of the car. Reality also got down upon watching me pick her crying brother up and settled him in my arms.

"You shouldn't have spoken so loud, you know Infinity has sensitive ears," I scolded Reality, "Sorry, I didn't mean to be that loud," Her voice lowered as she apologised.

"It's fine, Sweetheart. Just focus on your test and getting good grades," I said. "Okay Mommy, but remember you promised to let me have my own Moongram account," She reminded, causing a sigh to escape my lips. I made a fake promise but she held unto it and didn't forget.

"Okay," I sighed again before waving to her and watched her enter the school premises.

Infinity had stopped crying and just when I was about to put him back in the back seat, Mono's mom's car parked right beside mine. "Reality's mom!" She called, stopping me. "It's been a while since I've seen—is-baby?" She asked, glancing at Infinity who was peacefully staring into nothingness in my arms.

"My son," I simply answered.

"You were pregnant all this while?!!" she exclaimed, "So that's why you haven't been here to drop Reality off. I didn't know you were pregnant, it didn't show at all. Can I hold him?" There was no reason I wouldn't let Mono's mom hold my baby; she was a nice woman but if it was Dabin's mom, I would keep Infinity, at least ten miles away from her.

Stretching my arms to hand Infinity to her, she gasped as soon as he faced her, "He is so cute and he looks so much like his dad, talking about his dad, I haven't seen Mr Kim around at all. The last time I saw him was when the kids were in the first semester of 3nd year and the kids are in the first semester of their 4th year," She let out.

"He's—"

"Wahhhh!!!" Infinity screamed/cried as he tried to get out of Mono's Mom's arm and saved me from having to collect lies.

It was late into the evening, Raven and Nova were setting food on the dining, Reality was sitting on the couch staring at the phone and constantly taking selfies as usual and Infinity was asleep in my room but Neel was no where to be found, "Neel is not home again, am I the only one that thinks Neel has been acting weird lately?" Raven asked.

"I think so too," I chimed in. Raven was right about Neel acting strangely for the past few weeks. He leaves home for hours and comes back happy and giggly which the Neel I had known for a year would not do unless there was something acting as its Catalyst.

Does he by any chance have a—

"Do you think Neel is dating someone?" Nova voiced out my thoughts, "Absolutely! I mean, he wouldn't be so happy if he doesn't some girl in his life—or boy," I answered just after Raven's phone dinged.

"Oh, it's Neel. He said he's on the first floor and he has a gift for us? What could he possibly bring for us?" Raven announced and let out a soft chuckle as she checked her phone.

"Speaking about gifts, How is Azura? Have you heard anything about her from the girls at the club?" As Raven mentioned gifts, it reminded me of my ex-friend, Gift, That I just needed to ask how she was.

"Oh well, the attack ruined her life. Remember the picture of her was she just got attacked? Remember some parts of her face was chopped off like she was attacked by a zombie? Apparently, when it healed, she ended up looking like she survived a plane crash, except without the fire burnt scars—the girl's words not mine. She stopped working at the club and her life turned to a mess, very messy—the girl's words not mine," Nova explained and It felt satisfying to know horrible people like her remain as bottom feeders.

"Reality! Drop your phone and come eat dinner!!" I yelled.

"I'll be there in a minute!!!" She yelled back as she continued to take pictures.

I heard the front door getting opened and we all averted our gazes to it but my eyes almost popped out of its socket as my hands felt weak. I was forced to drop the plate I was holding as Neel walked into the Great room, along with the beige man trailing behind him.

"Ahhhhh!!!" Reality screamed upon seeing her father we all thought was long dead. "DADDY!!!" She flung her phone and ran to him, jumping on him in happiness while I was still shocked and was not able to move my body.

"Death Trap," I heard him say and my legs finally gave in, feeling weaker than jelly, I fell to my knees and began crying.

Tears of joy and relief.

"Wraya!" Nova and Raven came to help me get up as I was still on strict diet and medication.

"Wraya," before I knew it, the beige man was in front of me, staring at me with a subtle smile, he called. My gaze moved to his bandaged head, the knife-like cut scar on the side of his used-to-be flawless neck, his haggard looking face, it caused more tears to fall from my eyes, uncontrollably.

I couldn't imagine what he must have gone through the one year he was gone.

"I missed you," as soon as those words came out of his mouth, my emotions overloaded and I didn't know how to process them so I pulled him closer to me with his shirt and pressed my lips to his while my tears continued rushing down. I didn't care who was watching, even if Infinity was present, I would still do it because words couldn't possibly explain how much I missed him.

Pulling away, my hands cupped his face as I stared into his eyes and let out what I should have told him before he left, "I love you," The feeling of thinking he was dead and I would never see him again made me realize how much I loved him. The countless nights I spent crying into his pillows and clothes confirmed I loved him like crazy over and over again.

"I love you too," He replied and pulled me into a hug.

A few minutes later, we were all sat down at the dining to eat—I gave the beige man my food because I was full just by watching him and knowing he was alive. "What exactly happened? Why did you take so long to come back?" I asked, expecting him to give a brief and vague answer because of the presence of Nova and Raven but surprisingly, he wasn't vague at all.

"When I got there, things were intense, I was at the lowest of the low and I did all I could do to prove that I wasn't a person that doesn't belonged amongst the guards. That took four months and after I climbed that rank, I was snooping around to figure out where the leader lived but it all came to vain when I figured nothing out after two months of searching, I started losing hope because I'd spent over six months there and thinking about you and Reality made me miserable because all I wanted was to be with the two of you and whilst feeling sorry for myself, there was this woman, Mari, who everyone respects because she was a great fighter and all. She came to me one day and chatted shit—sorry for the language, Reality, you're not allowed to say that—"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Okay, Daddy!"

"She chatted shit, I lost it and fought with her. She was one of the best fighter in the group and they were all surprised I won against her. Later, I learnt her full name was Marilyn Mosses and she doesn't sleep where every terrorist sleeps. No one had any idea where she sleeps and it took me a while to figure out Mosses could be shorten to Moss and Hadés meant underground. The woman was the terrorists leader and she lived underground of the terrorists base, Marilyn Mosses lived Underground— Moss Hadés,"

"I approached the mission the wrong way by looking only for men, I never thought the leader could be a woman. That was why I took long, plus, my cover got blown while I was tailing the woman to figure out how she enters her underground home. I was imprisoned and tortured for months before I managed to escape but I made sure they all met the grim reaper that night. When I got back here a month ago, I was just the shell of my former self. I was almost a dead man but the organisation made sure they took care of me and I also didn't want you guys to see me in that state so I decided to stay hospitalised for a month, making sure Neel doesn't let you all know and voila, I'm here," he finished.

"I'm so proud of you for surviving, I was a mess without you," I let out as I continued to watch him with a smile others might find creepy but I couldn't care less. I just wanted to stare at him as if was the last time i would ever see him again.

"A mess? That was an understatement. She cried so much that she passed Out and had to be taken to the hospital then we found out that—we found out something big and even with her condition, she would still go to your place in the night and cry all night," Raven stated, exposing me but her words made me realize the beige man doesn't know about Infinity yet—if he knew, it would've been the first thing he would have asked.

"What did you find out?" he glanced back and forth at all of but no one uttered a word. They were all expecting me to tell him as it was my business, "C'mon, tell me," he said to me.

"Why tell you when I could show you? C'mon," I stood up and held his hands, pulling him towards the stairs. "I'm so scared right now but I have a feeling this is something good because Reality was giving me her creepy smiley face," he softly chuckled.

"It is something good," I said as we continued to climb the stairs. Once in front of my room, I slowly opened the door and stepped inside with the beige man, "That's our son, Infinity," I stated.

I didn't exactly picture how he would react but the sudden silence made me scared he might not want to have a child with me but looking at his face, he looked like he was about to pass out and that worried me more.

"Are you okay?" I asked with worry laced in my voice and held him incase he passes out but I grew shocked when I spotted tears rushing down his eyes.

He suddenly pulled me into a tight hug, slowly rubbing my back, "I'm so sorry, Wraya. I should have made sure to arrive earlier. I'm so sorry for not being there for you when you were carrying my baby,"
He didn't know that his presence right there was enough to make up of all the time he wasn't around. I was so happy that even words could not express it.

"Thank you for coming back," I said as we pulled away but pressed our lips together, instead. The kiss was slow and full of passion as we both poured all of our emotions into the kiss and showed how much we've missed each-other.

Pulling away, he let out, "Can I hold him?" He asked with excitement.

"Of course, but there are two things you should know about him, one, he's very sensitive to sounds, I don't know why but the doctor said he would get better as he grows, two, his cries turn your eardrums to actual drums mixed with bagpipes. I don't think it's healthy for one's ea—" As if it was on cue, Infinity started screaming with his eyes tightly shut and an ocean was already falling down his eyes.

I quickly went to hold him to subdue the cries by moving around the room but he wasn't calming down which made me realize that he was hungry. A few minutes later, I was done feeding him and Infinity was back to being a quiet, stare-into-nothingness baby in his father's arms.

"You know, I didn't realize I was pregnant until it was the seventh month. I wasn't paying attention to my health because I was worried about you, so much that I didn't know that I only had my period three times in seven months and those three times were very unhealthy for Infinty. The doctor had said if I had one more bleeding before giving birth then I might lose my child but luckily, I didn't. Giving birth was also very painful and after two months, my body still hasn't gone back to the same as I'm still on strict diet and medication," I started.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that alone, got know what, I will have Neel's head for not telling me about my son," he said, earning a chuckle from me.
"Why did you name him Infinity, anyways? His name should be Kim Taehyung Jr. as he looked exactly like me, except with his curly and amazing texture hair," he let out, touching Infinity's head. The baby moved his head as he hated the dealing of having someone's on his hair, even I comb his hair while he sleeps.

"Says the man who named his daughter Reality, and I wasn't the one that picked his name, your daughter did... and also, he hates it when you touch his head. He'll punch you if you keep doing that," I said.

"Really??"

"Depending on his mood, Yes. If he's in a chill mood like now, he just ate and he just wants to stay and not stress himself so if you continue touching his head, he'll start to move his hands violently but if he's not in a chill mood, he would scream so stop," I explained.

"Wow, that's smart of him—not wasting his energy. So I see you dressed him in all brown and beige..." he trailed off.

"Yes, because you like the colour. Reality is black and Infinity is beige—although, Reality is getting into pink and white lately. I bought her this baby pink fluffy rug for her 9th birthday and she loved it—also, your daughter is obsessed with Monogram now, just so you know," I rambled on.

"Well, I guess she's looking up to you now, which is a good thing because I don't think I want her to be in this line of work. I don't want her to go risking her life on missions and now that the government is involved in the organisation, we have to carry out official missions too which might be as dangerous as the one I just did. It would be better if she takes pictures and do whatever you guys do on social media," He expressed his worries.

"Talking about the organisation, you are the boss now, right?"

"Yes but I would only be announced at the boss's retirement party—or in other words, Kim Seokjin's retirement party... and also yes, your dad will get released as soon as the announcement and retirement party ends,"

To be frankly honest with myself, I couldn't care less if he was in or out of jail, the question I asked the beige man was just to confirm that I was the boss's Mrs.

"Okay,"

"I'm happy I don't have to care about leaving you or Reality or Infinity to go on missions anymore and you entering my life is one of the best things that happened to me and I couldn't be happier that we are together... and I'm sorry if this is lame because I didn't come prepared, but please marry me?"

T H E E N D!

To those of y'all that made it to this far, I love you with all my heart, and also, thank you for spending you very precious time to read this book, I really appreciate your support.

As much as I would love to write a sad ending, I couldn't let y'all read 72 chapters just to read the beige man and Infinity dying at the last chapter so I wrote this instead.

I hope you enjoy this book and I'll see you in my next book, just one question, MARRIAGE CLOWNAGE or LAWS OF THE MARITAL ACT or LAWS OF MARRIAGE? Keep it in mind that the protagonists are lawyers.
EDIT; The final title is MARRIAGE & SHADOWS.

Epilogue, I will be writing two to three epilogues, One for the main couple as a married couple and one for Reality as a young adult.

Bye!
