70 | She's mine
"What are you doing here?" Nova questioned looking directly at him with a frown I had never see on her before. I didn't even know she was capable of feeling emotions like anger because she was always calm and collected. It almost reminded me of how much Saya was overprotective of me.
"I-"
"You were supposed to be in school, learning and working towards getting a bachelor degree, what are you doing here? Don't tell me you're not attending your classes... I'm working My butt off to send you to a good university but you decided it's best to skip classes and fail. What are you doing here, Neel?" She asked questions but never gave Neel the space to answer. "He's my assistant." The beige man talked over her, making her stop to listen.
"What assistant? He's nineteen and barely finished he's first year," She let out, not believing the beige man's claims.
"Yes, he's my assistant. There's this program that my company did a few months back, it's called Junior internship program. It's when first year students and sophomore students gets picked to be an intern and After a while of showing remarkable skills, they become permanent employees. Neel passed that program and became a permanent employee. The President's assistant, My assistant."
The beige man let out a very thought out and believable lie that even I almost believed if I didn't knew that their company only hired serial Killers and psychopaths. How did Neel get hired? He looked so Normal and harmless.
"Then why didn't you tell me what was going on? I could have supported you," Nova voice and facial expressions changed from angry to the Nova I knew. "I just—" Neel couldn't get his words out as the situation hit as a surprise.
"He wanted to keep it from you until he becomes a permanent employee to surprise you. He just did," The beige man said in Neel's stead.
"Oh my god, Neel, I'm so proud of you," The two siblings pulled each other into a hug—more like Nova pulled Neel into a hug but it was obvious that Neel felt guilty for lying to his sister—at least, it seemed like that to me. "So, what's the name of the company and what exactly do you do as his assistant?" She pulled away and asked.
"It's Chomrhade Holdings and I monitor his—erm—projects and do other things too," Neel's bubbly self returned as he replied but Nova's face drained of colours as he responded.
"Di-did you just say Chomrhade Holdings? THE Chomrhade Holdings? The insurance company?" She questioned repeatedly.
"Yeah. It's amazing, isn't it?" Neel answered and Nova began hyperventilating. She stumbled backwards with her hands clutching her chest, she slowly fell to her knees. "Nova!" Neel and Raven said to unison while I was too stunned to speak.

A few hours passed and the beige man and I just arrived at his apartment from picking Reality up at school. He planned on telling Reality about our relationship and the mission so we could spend quality time together before he leaves.
Reality was in her room changing into her normal clothes while the beige man and I were in the living room waiting for her to return so we could break things down to her easily. "How you do think she'll take the news?" I asked while fiddling with my fingers worried she might hate me for dating her father.
"You and I together or me going on a mission?"
"Both." I answered.
He took my hands and pulled my body closer, "I've gone on countless missions ever since Reality has been born and she's used to it. Also, If she's with you, she wouldn't mind me being gone for three months or so," He said and pressed a kiss to my lips.
"She really likes you and I'm sure we would be happy to know you actually became her mom," He added before deepening the kiss. His hands moved to cup my face and caress it while the kiss slowly turned messy.
"Daddy?" Reality's voice gave us a Reality Check, making us abruptly pull away, "Why were you kissing Wraya?" She frowned and questioned.
She didn't seem to like the idea of her dad Kissing me and I doubted she'd be fine with me dating him.
The beige man never thought she'd react that way and was shocked, rendered speechless even. "Why aren't you saying anything?" The questions were directed towards the beige man, not me so all I did was wished I could vanish into thin air and escape reality—both the girl and the real thing.
...but then Reality let out a sudden gasp and smiled, "Is she my actual mommy now?"
The mood swing was quite confusing, making me lean towards the beige man and asked, "Is she angry or happy?" I whispered. "Honestly, I have no idea," He whispered back.
"Well?!!! Is she?" I could finally see why the beige man sometimes gets scared of her when she glares at him. She was scary. I bet Siren was scary too.
"DeathTrap, the thing is, Wraya and I—yes, She's your actual mommy now. I like her and she likes me so, as your dad, you have to respect and accept my wishes," I could see he was going to lie at first but at the middle of his sentence decided it would be better to come clean. We'd been caught anyway.
"That's not fair, I liked her first. She's mine!" She grabbed my hands and stepped closer to us to stand between us. "No, she's mine!" The beige man pointed at his daughter and said.
"No, She's mine!"
"No, She's mine!"
"Stop!" I let out.
Reality turned to me and gave me a hug, surprising both me and the beige man. "I'm glad you're my actual mom now," she let out. "What? You're not mad that I'm with your dad?" I asked.
"No, I already knew you guys were together. I saw his texts to you and I also saw you two kissing right there, few weeks ago," She informed, surprising the beige man and I further.
"You what?"
"Don't even try to deny it because I have pictures as proof." She stated making the beige man and I to exchange looks and I instantly mentally slapped myself for buying the little girl a phone.
—
I had to take my leave quickly because of the intensity of the awkwardness after Reality revealed she saw our texts and us shamelessly making out. I wasn't able to wait to hear the beige man tell Reality about the mission as I was too embarrassed to look the little girl in the eye but he assured me he was going to tell her without letting her know the chances of him dying are huge.
I stepped into the great room and found Neel with Raven setting up food on the dining table. "Wraya!" Raven called as I walked towards them. "Where's Nova?" She walked down the stairs just as I asked.
"Hey sis! We made your favourite food," Neel announced as Nova sat down but she responded with silence. Raven and Neel made conversations the entire dinner but Nova had nothing to say to their discussion.
"Why are you calling Wraya, ma'am? She's just a couple years older than you," Raven asked. "She's my boss's Mrs, and we have to give the same respect we give our boss to their Mrs," Neel explained.
"Ah, I forgot to say because of the Patel's little drama earlier but you should have come to see Azura at the hospital, Her face was completely wrapped with bandages that one might mistake her for a mummy. She literally looked like she was thrown in the middle of a war and some of the girls that came to see her at the hospital said she wasn't attacked by a homeless man," Raven started and Neel gasped almost at every word she says, sounding very interested like he wasn't the artist behind the masterpiece.
"What do you mean?" Neel asked but I couldn't help but raise my hands to cover my mouth, extremely shocked at his Oscar-winning award acting skills. He should really reconsider being an actor instead of a Hitman.
"They went on and said a homeless man wouldn't beat her so much that she'll have broken ribs, A homeless man would beat her a bit and then try to violate her. So seeing as she was beaten to oblivion, they all think it was premeditated attack," She continued.
"Hmm... It does sound like a premeditated attack if she was beaten to hell and back," Neel's acting continued to surprise me. Raven must have thought I was surprised because of what she was saying not knowing that Neel's acting was what got me gasping.
"...What's crazy is, some of the girls think you planned the attack because of the fight but I made them understand that you weren't the one. You're the type of person to barge into Azura's dressing room and try to rip her hair off—you know like you did to Kiss—and you would never think of hiring someone to beat her up. That's bad people thing, you're a good person. Even if the attack was planned, it's probably from some other person she blurted their secret out."
Suddenly, I felt guilty. The girls thought I was such a good person but in actuality, I was planning attacks and ordering kills. How was I able to sleep at night? "I'm not a good person." I stated without thinking much.
"What do you mean? You're a good person. You've gone through so much but you're still the last thing of innocence left in this awful world. You're the best human being I've ever met in the horrible life I've been living and Ever since I met you, I've been great. I've been happy and I've been on top of the world. You gave me a nice place to stay and helped me earn more money. I've also driven a Porsche countless times. You're like a light in my pitch dark world so don't you dare say you're bad person. Richard Wilson is a bad person and Karma hit him hard, pushing him to his grave in the process,"
"I bet this Azura girl thing is also Karma. But you know what Raven, Karma could be in form of a human." Neel stated while holding strong eye contact with me.
I was KARMA.
A few seconds had passed and I decided to speak to Nova who had been silent, "How are you feeling now?" I asked but her response was silence until,
"Wraya, I have something to tell you about the beige man..."
