24 | Collecting Reality
"My daughter is missing!" I said with extreme worry laced in my voice. I was seated on the floor feeling scared and shattered. My heart was beating at the speed of light, feeling like it was about to burst out of my chest in the worst ways.
"Damn, I was going to curse you for disturbing me this early morning at first but this is serious. What exactly happened?" Chen said across the phone.
"I went on a mission and I left her at home as I normally would but when I got back, she was nowhere to be found. Please help me look for her!" I could barely recognize my own voice from how worried I sounded. Made me wonder how some parents could have the heart to order the assassination of their child.
"I'll try looking into the CCTV outside your apartment. You stay at xxxxx, 19th floor, 2nd unit, right?" I could hear a shuffling sound across the phone as he spoke. "Yes!" I respond, sounding impatient.
"Right! Give me a second," Chen said and the line went quiet for some seconds. keyboard typing sounds could be heard, signifying that he was working on it.
"I can see her leave the apartment," He paused. "she just got into the elevator..." He trailed off "...and went to the 23rd floor? Do you know anyone at the penthouse, Taehyung?"
Wraya!
Just when I thought I had finally escaped her, Reality just had to go to her place...and it would have been better if she had told me or put a sticky note on the table, informing me where she would be.
I took a deep breath in relief knowing that she wasn't kidnapped by the Russians and was fine. My heart almost stopped when I thought something bad had happened to her.
I pulled myself off the floor and headed to the door. Reality was in for the scolding of her life and I would make sure she never tries something similar ever again.
I stepped into the elevator and pushed the 23rd button. As I reached the floor, I stepped out and rang the doorbell like a madman. After continuously pushing the button for three minutes straight, Wraya opened the door with a puffy face. It was obvious that she was woken up from sleep.
"Where is my daughter?" I asked immediately after our eyes met. "I—" Cutting her off, I pushed her aside and barged in. "Reality!" I yelled, scanning the spacious living room with my eyes.
"Reality!" I called again, even louder.
"She can't hear you, she's upstairs." Wraya took the lead and headed towards the winding Stairs. I quietly followed her until she opened a door to the room Reality was sleeping in.
"She came to me last night but fell asleep after eating. I didn't want to wake her up and send her back to your place 'coz she said she was home alone so I just carried her up here to my room," Wraya explained.
I glanced at Reality who was peacefully sleeping on the Queen size bed then at Wraya who was looking at me with subtle fear in her eyes.
I didn't know what to say, I didn't know how to react, I didn't know what to feel.
I stepped closer to the bed and carried Reality. She opened her eyes and looked at me before falling back asleep. Without uttering a single word to Wraya, I exited the room and headed toward the main door.
W R A Y A
Last night Reality came and asked for a house tour, "this is a game room but converted to a practice room," I said as we walked into the rectangular-shaped room with three stripping poles in the middle and a long mirror glued on the wall.
"Wow! You're a dancer?" Reality ran to one of the poles and held it, twirling around. "Yes, I'm a dancer," I responded.
"Will you teach me how to dance?" She questioned. "Only if your dad will agree," I said. Even if I wanted to teach her dancing, it wouldn't be anything explicit.
"I'll beg him to agree," She responded. Her stomach growls loudly as she twirled around the pole. "Are you hungry?" I questioned. She replied by nodding her head.
"What do you want to eat?" I went to her, grabbed her hands and questioned. "Anything you have," She said.
After we finished eating, we decided to watch some cartoons and cuddle on the sofa. A few minutes into the episode, I started hearing soft snores from her.
I waited for some minutes for her to go deeper into her slumber before lifting her in my arms and taking her upstairs to my room. I laid her down on my bed and covered her with the white duvet.
Having her sleep in my apartment, I was a little worried that her dad might come barging in like he did but I shrugged off the thought thinking he wouldn't be back until morning I was shocked when he barged in around early morning.
Of course, I was happy he didn't threaten me or say anything harsh that would make me rethink my life decisions and just left with Reality. I hadn't seen him for over a Month and I had never once thought our next encounter would be him collecting his daughter from my apartment.
"Wraya! Breakfast is ready!" I heard Raven yelling from downstairs. I was already out of my room and I just climbed down the stairs and headed towards the dining table.
"Thank you!" I let out as I sat down on the chair.
"You're going to the club tonight, have you thought of what you'll wear? Hair? Makeup?" Nova questioned as we devoured the cooked food.
"I don't know. Just do whatever you want with my hair and makeup. I was thinking of wearing this particular brown corseted micro dress though but it might be too dull," I said.
"The one we bought at Cheryl's store the other day?" Raven asked. I replied with a nod.
"It would look good on you. You know, paired with a white fur choker and white heels? We can go for a white Smokey eye shadow and of course, tons of glitters," Raven said.
"Ahh," I groaned, earning a chuckle from Nova and Raven. Not again. No more glitters! I was sure that by the time I quit the job, I would have developed a glitter phobia.

I was seated in front of the Hollywood mirror in my dressing room with Nova applying my makeup and Raven installing silver glitter hair strands in my hair. She was going to apply glitter on my hair but removing it would be almost impossible so I opposed that and settled for glitter hair strands.
"Now, your skin!" Nova said as she finished my makeup and brought out a glitter spray from my mini-box. "I'm also done! You can stand up now," Raven informed.
I stood up and Nova began to spray the glitter on my arms, neck, exposed chest and thighs. She and Raven smudged the glitter on my skin carefully not to stain my dress and heels.
I was dressed in a brown off-the-shoulder corseted micro dress printed with sequin polka dots motifs scattered throughout, creating an adorning shimmer. A dress that didn't cover my ass cheeks. A matching colour thongs, A white fur choker and knee-length platform boots.
"Glitter!" Tommy barged into my dressing room as usual, "It's time to get you on stage." He informed. "Looking nice, by the way!" He complimented before exiting the room.
"C'mon!" Nova and Raven led me out of the dressing room. Stepping into the passage, a lot of girls were standing, as usual, staring at me. But things had changed, they were no longer murmuring insults.
They now wanted to be friends with me.
"Bye," Nova said before I stepped on stage. I turned my back to the crowd and held the pole in the middle with one hand.
"I made a promise to your body, imma stand on," I swayed my hips and turned my head back, facing the crowd. Among the many men, I spotted the beige man.
