What? No not again. Just when I thought I can take a step to actually make her mine, she said something like this. Did she just say fiance? But this can't true. I- I don't even know what to feel right now... Heartbroken? No I am not her boyfriend. Worried? No I don't even know anything about their relationship. Sad? No first I need to hear her end of the story. I am just so lost.

Y/n: Kook....Are you listening to me?

Jungkook: huh.. Oh yes yes.... Angel, *sigh* please tell me you are just messing with me...

Y/n: I wish I am. But I don't even have a say in this. Wait let me explain you from the beginning.

It was last year at this time, during Vivienne's birthday party. Her parents always celebrate her birthday with a theme kind of party. This time they are out of town so they couldn't organize one. As you can see they love to spoil their only daughter, so they go an extra mile as always. Anyways as I was saying, the party last year was of the theme "Old Money Love" as Vivienne wanted that type of aesthetic for her party. She had a boyfriend at that time so she also told her parents to arrange a ballroom dancing in her party, so she could dance with him. They broke up a few months ago unfortunately. I mean that guy was fine, she treated Vi properly but I guess God has other plans haha.
Anyways, what was I saying... ughhhh why do I keep getting distracted from the topic!! *pouts*

Jungkook: Cute *pinches her cheeks softly* Carry on angel, I'm listening. *smiles*

Y/n: Okkieee... So as the ballroom dancing was organized, me and Melanie were freaked out as we didn't have our date. Bella and Vi both had their boyfriends and Toby and Shane just didn't care of the dance, they just want to stuff their face on food and drinks lol. We discussed at Vi's house about it and just accepted that me and Melanie would have to just give company to each other. I mean dancing with my best friend is not a bad idea. After having a little more talk about the party, we went home. As soon as I entered our living room to ask my dad to buy me a dress for the party, I saw him sitting with Lucas and his father, also accompanied by some men wearing black suits.

Flashback 🕓

Dad: Oh hey princess you are just in time! Look who's here to visit you.

Y/n: Umm sorry I don't think I know them...

Lucas: But I know you Y/n *winks*

Dad: Wait let me introduce! This is Gabriel Allaire and his Lucas Allaire. Gabriel is my childhood friend, we kept contact uptil graduation but then he moved to Europe for further studies and married there. But he's back here in NYC!

Gabriel: Oh and Finn as soon as I got here, I saw billboards and posters of your company's brands with your photo and it became easier to contact you haha!

Dad: Yeah they all forced me to take the picture haha... I asked them to hire a model for it but they said "No way sir, you are more handsome than any model here" Like can you believe them?!*everyone laughs*

Lucas: Of course sir they ain't lying. Even your genes are working on your daughter *again winks at her*

Y/n feels creeped out.

Gabriel: Oh miss Y/n why are you standing, please have a seat!

Y/n: Umm okay. *sits beside her father facing Lucas*

Dad: So as I was saying Gabriel, I'm fine with your proposal, consider it done but we have to wait till our kids graduate.

Gabriel: Yeah that's fine by us, Gabriel will take over a large part of my job and Y/n can work if she wants or she can just stay at home.

Y/n: What? Dad what's this about?

Dad: Oh yeah about that, princess, I have fixed your wedding with Gabriel's son, Lucas here. We will start the wedding preparations after you both graduate. You two would make a great pair! And don't worry you can have your princess type of wedding you wished to have since childhood haha.

Y/n pov:

WAIT A DAMN MINUTE. MY WEDDING?? I am so clueless now. I need to talk to dad about this after they are gone. How did he just fix my wedding without my permission??

Gabriel: Well Finn it's time I have some work to do, so we'll talk later again! Have a good night!

Dad: You too Gabriel!

Y/n and her dad escorted them to the gate. The old men were having a chitchat when Lucas suddenly came towards Y/n and whispered in her ear.

Lucas: Can't wait to make you mine cupcake *smirks*

Y/n looked at him with a cold, straight face.

Lucas: Giving cold shoulders I see... You won't have this much attitude when you marry me sweetheart, you'll have to obey me so start acting like an obedient girlfriend now.

Y/n: I am not your girlfriend.

Lucas: Oh yeah right you are my fiancee *winks*

Y/n was controlling herself from punching that toad-like face of Lucas as their parents were right behind them. The Allaires left and Y/n asked her dad to explain everything.

Y/n: Dad I'm so confused and upset with you! What have you done? Fixed my wedding without my permission with someone whom I don't even know properly!

Dad: Well this is the concept of arrange marriage, isn't it princess?

Y/n: But I don't want an arrange marriage. Now you start explaining why you did this or I'll leave this house and never come back.

Dad: Okay okay calm down I'm explaining. So the fact is that Gabriel and I studied business in Hawkins University together but Gabriel had to move to Europe to run a.. you know... Mafia.

Y/n: MAFIA?!?

Dad: Yes now listen. He was a good kid then but since he had to join mafia as a leader, he turned ruthless after. I think you have read about the "Red Thorns". They ran a beverage company in Europe. It went bankrupt due to some reason and thus they chose to earn money illegally. They sold hard liquor, dealt drugs and many other illegal things. Gabriel's father was the boss. After some years he became hungry for power after manipulating a large number of people into joining his gang. He decided to form a Mafia and name them as "Red Thorns". They started dealing weapons and became more powerful. The whole Europe used to fear them.

Y/n: Can't the police arrest them dad?

Dad: Y/n you have no idea what a mafia is. They cover up their trails so efficiently you won't even get to catch hold of them. The police even feared them and stayed out of their business. Back to what I was saying, so this is what Gabriel told me before joining the Mafia. He trusted me so much so he shared it with me. He didn't support his father in doing such illegal things, but he had to, he had no other choice.
His father only ran the mafia in Europe but Gabriel too became power hungry and targeted to conquer the whole world. He has already captured half of America and now his next target is to extend his Mafia in NYC.

Y/n: Did he tell you this today?

Dad: No. He would never say anything now. But his right hand man, Lewis, Gabriel's brother, told me this. He too was forced to join Mafia with him but he never changed. He still doesn't support this Mafia thing but he can't turn his back to his brother or else he would be dead.

Y/n: So what has this to do with me?!?

Dad: That's the thing. He wants to run Mafia here too so this is his first step. To collaborate with me as a business person and open nightclubs. His plan I don't know, Lewis couldn't tell me that, but it's definitely something dangerous. He wants to get his son married to you so that the common people will be interested and important famous persons will definitely be attracted to attend the marriage of New York's richest man's daughter, and thus get to know about him and his business would flourish. He even offered me to help open new branches of my company throughout the world. I first hesitated but he threatened me to kill you and make my business go bankrupt. I didn't have any other choice Y/n. I'm really sorry.

Y/n: But dad how will I survive with a man who's under Mafia?!!! I would still be in danger!

Dad: I know Y/n. But they will obviously protect you as you will be Lucas's wife. So don't worry. Oh and Y/n, you will say everyone that you and Lucas are childhood friends and you fell in love again so you are getting married. Please don't tell people that you've been forced to marry... Not even your friends, understood?

Y/n nodded while crying, her eyes red, she ran away to her room and started crying even more.

Y/n: My life's finished.

Jungkook: Just trust me Y/n. I am going to help you. I am not some mere college student Y/n. Just trust me.

What did he mean by he's not some mere college student? Ughh I think I am surrounded by a bunch of liars. I feel betrayed after sharing such a big secret with him but he's not ready to share his.

I didn't know what came over me but I pushed his arms from around my waist and said coldly...

Y/n: And kook...

Jungkook: Yes angel?

Y/n: Please stay away from me now. It's better for both of us.

Saying this Y/n ran from there and joined the party again.

Jungkook: Wait Y/n... Please tell me you didn't mean it....
