Jungkook pov:

This is the first time I saw Y/n this vulnerable. I can't explain the pain I felt seeing her shedding tears, explaining the messed up situation she has been dragged to. An angel like her deserves nothing less than happiness at its finest. And I want to give her that. And I will. She just kickstarted my mission with such helpful information. There's no time to waste anymore. I am determined to end this burden on her and make her mine.
I went outside of the room, searching for Josh in the crowd where everyone was drinking and dancing like maniacs. I saw Josh smashing his lips on Vivienne's at the corner. I was actually happy for him that he found someone but it's not the time for playing cupid. I need to interrupt them. I dragged Josh out of there, apologizing Vivienne that we had an emergency at my apartment and left. Before leaving I searched for Y/n, she was sitting at the bar, taking as many shots as she can, and this broke me to see her like this. I asked Josh to wait for me outside, and went to stop Y/n from drinking so much, she could get sick.

Y/n: No. Go away. I don't want you near me. *takes another shot*

Jungkook: Y/n, first please listen to me and stop drinking you will get a hangover...and I don't understand...did I do something wrong?

Y/n: I trusted you Kook. I told you everything, but in return you didn't trust me. You were going to say something but didn't. *takes one more shot* Why are you hiding from me Kook?

Jungkook: Angel I am not hiding anything I promise. It's just that I can't explain you this, I am forbidden to do it. You need to trust me Y/n, I am here to help you.

Y/n: No I don't. What if you are with them??? Are you also some kind of Mafia?? I know you are. Leave me alone!!!!

Jungkook: Y/n, listen to me you are not in the right state of mind. It's going to be midnight and I will not leave you here at this state. Come with me, I'll drive you home.

Jungkook pov:

I grab her hand to take her away, but Y/n resists and gives out a few punches that were like blows of soft breeze on my chest. She's just so cute even while drunk. I took her on my shoulders and walked through the crowd towards the door. Bella and Vi winked at me and gave a gesture like "have fun" and giggled. I just smiled at them reassuring that she's safe with me. I walked outside and saw Josh waiting for me.

Josh: Hey what's wrong is she sick??

Jungkook: No she's too drunk so I'll drive her home. I'm gonna take the car, drop her at her house, then come back and we'll return to your place asap. Understood?

Josh: Okay okay handsome daddy! *smirks*

Y/n: He's not a handsome daddy he's a handsome jerk. *pouts, still being on Jungkook's shoulders*

Jungkook: Still you think I'm handsome huh *smirks* Okay now we need to get going.

Y/n: Oh no Josh save me, I'm being kidnapped!!!!

Josh: Don't worry Y/n, he's a sweet kidnapper!

They get in the car while Josh went back to the party to Vivienne. Jungkook made her sit gently and fastened the seatbelts around her. Y/n, being drunk, couldn't think straight and went in for a kiss but Jungkook resisted.

Y/n: Now you won't kiss me also?? *pouts*

Jungkook: No angel. I would never take advantage of you or any woman being drunk. Please rest now, you'll be in home in a few minutes.

Y/n blushes at Jungkook's words, smiling non stop. After an awkward ride, Y/n reached home. Jungkook carried Y/n to her house where the security guards were standing at the gate.

Jungkook: Please take Y/n to her house. She's drunk and can't walk properly.

Guard: Thank you gentleman for bringing Miss Y/n. We'll escort her from here. Have a good night!

Jungkook nodded and got back to car and drove as fast as he can to Vivienne's villa. He reached and called Josh to come outside.

Josh: Okay let's go! Sorry I was just taking Vivienne's number, I forgot it then. I mean how can you think of anything else when you have a goddess in your arms kissing you hehe...

Jungkook: Josh, as much as I would like to listen about you crush, but we have more important things right now. I'm driving, meanwhile you text CJ to join us in a video call as soon as we get home.

Josh: Okay but what's the matter?

Jungkook: I'll explain everything to you both together.

They reach at Josh's apartment and immediately connect with CJ, who's still awake, playing video games.

CJ: Ughh what's this about? This better be good cuz I was winning the game and you interrupted. *rolls his eyes*

Josh: Oh please, you are still playing games?? Are you even our Captain or our adopted kid?

CJ: Don't talk down to me! I might be a year younger than you but still I'm in charge!

Jungkook: Shut up you both. I am here to share valuable info I got on the Allaires.

Jungkook pov:

And then I told them. Each and everything. Each and every word said by her. Cuz of I miss anything, I fear I might miss on valuable information. I am a good listener so I was very careful while she explained me everything. CJ and Josh looked at me shocked after receiving such a game changer info from me. They knew I'm the best one under them, but never thought I'd be able to pull out this much information within a short span of time. Though there's more to be discovered, this just gave us a kickstart to our mission.

CJ: Good job JK. I knew you were perfect for this mission and you never fail to surprise me with your outstanding skills. Though I have to warn you, stay away from distractions. Your only focus should be on the mission. But yes we need that girl, so stay in touch with her.
I have recorded this call and will sent to my tech department. They will update those in Europe and other states here. Also be careful JK, if you need any backup you will immediately contact the headquarters. Have a good night.

Jungkook pov:

I saw Josh smirking at me when CJ told me to stay away from distractions. But I swear, she never felt a distraction to me since the day I met her. I have been sent to many other missions where there were lots of beautiful girls while working, but never felt a single thing for anyone. But she feels different. She gives me peace and an escape from my hectic world. Our worlds are very different. But I crave for her. I can't help it.

Josh: Yo man let's go to sleep now, I'm in no mood to go to my part time job tomorrow. But I have to or they'll fire me ughhh. You can take rest tomorrow though.

Jungkook: Hmm. Good night Josh. This has just began. And this time I feel more than encouraged to take down that bastard and his family.

Josh: Of course. I'm here bro. We'll sort it out together don't worry. And man you deserve love too. Don't listen to CJ. He's right about focussing on work, but I don't want you to give up on her. I see you man, how your eyes lit up when you see her. Don't try to avoid it. She likes you too.

Jungkook: Yes I know. But first I need to make her safe.

The next morning...

Jungkook woke up and picked up his phone. He was delighted to see Y/n's messages. She asked him to meet her today at the Public Library at 4 p.m. to carry on their designs. They were doing little progress, so they need to finish it fast as the Annual Fest was coming soon. Jungkook happily replied her, got up from bed and took a shower.
After having lunch with Josh, he got up to get ready to meet Y/n. He took all the necessary things for making project and left for the library. He was excited to meet her, though he didn't know what was coming for him.

Y/n: Oh hey Jungkook, you are early. Please sit. I wanna tell you something.

Jungkook: Yes angel?

Y/n: Jungkook... I like you and I know you like me too... But... We have to keep our distance... It's safe for both of us...

Jungkook: Y/n I told you to trust me. I will make things right don't worry. *holds her hand*

Y/n: *pulls away her hand* No Jungkook. I do have a bit of hangover still but I still remember that I told you yesterday too, to stay away from me. And what are you gonna do? Are you some kind of God? Will you be able to take down a whole Mafia?

Jungkook: I am no God, Y/n. Please just trust me, I am sorry I can't tell you about my identity but I am really here to help you.

Jungkook pov:

I saw Y/n. She was on the verge of crying, trying to hide her tears. It broke my heart to see her like this. Once I make her mine, I'll never let her shed a tear of grief ever. But first I need to win her trust now.

Y/n: No I don't want your help. Please stay away from me. I don't want any further more interaction between us rather than meeting for the project as we have to, we have no other choice. You can text me anything regarding the project but please don't otherwise.
