π’π“π„π•πˆπ„ 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐑 πŒπ€π“π‡ 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒, stevie was in her math class, barely paying attention. her body was still achy from the previous night's events. her head was on her desk as she focused on her notebook, letting herself write down whatever her teacher was saying. every now and then her mind would go back to what tony stark had said about knowing her. trust me when i say, i do. i mean, what the hell did he mean by that? that was the first time they had met, so how the fuck would he know her? stevie lifted her head from her desk, bringing her hand up to rub her eye as she put her pencil down. she then felt a prick at the back of her head, making her eyebrows furrow. she moved her hand away from her eye as she turned around to see who was looking at her. her heart leaped into her throat when she saw that it was mj. the jones girl's face heated up when she realized that she had been caught, quickly look down at her notebook. stevie smiled as she turned back around, leaning back in her seat.

she felt her ears twitch when she heard someone whisper her name. she quickly brought her hand up to scratch her ear, discreetly looking around to see who had said it. she looked back at mj, only to see that the taller girl hadn't looked up from her notebook. she then looked over to the door, seeing peter's head peaking through the small window. ned was behind him, a smile on his lips as he waved. peter quickly pushed him out of the way when stevie's teacher turned around and looked at the door, the two boys ducking away from the window. stevie raised her eyebrows in a questioning manner when peter's head reappeared, silently asking what was wrong.

"you gotta get out of class." she heard peter whisper from the other side of the door.

"dude, how is she supposed to hear you?" she heard ned question.

"oh, her hearing is, like, better than mine." peter told him before he looked back at stevie. "but come on, stevie. we already have donnie. it's important!" stevie rolled her eyes as she shook her head. she then turned away from the window, raising her hand as she looked at her teacher.

"yes, stevie?" the math teacher, mrs.evans, asked with raised eyebrows.

"can i go to the bathroom?" stevie asked, putting on a face to make it seem like it was an emergency.

mrs.evans smiled, sending the girl a nod before she turned back around to face the board. stevie mentally thanked the teacher before she shot up from her desk and left the classroom. she assumed that whatever peter had to tell her wouldn't take long, so she decided to leave her stuff. she walked over to the three boys that were patiently waiting for her, donnie immediately wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "what is it, man?"

"okay, so remember the little alien weapon we found last night?" peter asked, his eyebrows raised as he dug into his bag to get out said weapon. "well, i snuck into ned's shop class and basically tore it apart. whoever made it is mixing alien tech with ours." instead of pulling out the weapon that they had found, he pulled out a small object that was glowing purple.

"whoa." donnie let out, stepping closer to look at the details.

"we were gonna go to the lab to run some tests and the both of you need to be there." peter told the watson boy and stevie, stuffing carefully stuffing the glowing object back into his bag.

"we can go after." stevie said, getting ready to head back into class.

"wha - we need to go now." peter said.

"dude, i have like twenty minutes left in this class." stevie informed, gesturing towards the door of her math class.

"well, what did you say to get her to let you leave?" peter questioned.

"bathroom." the curly haired girl replied, shrugging her shoulders.

"oh, just tell her that you had to change your pad or something." donnie suggested, almost like it was obvious. ned and peter nodded their heads in agreement, pointing to the long haired boy.

stevie blinked, looking at the three boys. "how long do you guys think it takes to change a pad?"

"like. . . ten minutes." donnie answered, making stevie's eyebrows shoot up her forehead. "what? does it take longer than that?" the carpenter girl shook her head slightly, bringing her hands up to her face. she understood why donnie wouldn't know how long it would take, considering he hadn't seen his mother in years. but she expected ned and peter to know since they both lived with woman.

"it doesn't take long. whatsoever. it doesn't even take five minutes." stevie told the three boys, pulling her hands away from her face. "it takes a minute, tops. but that's it."

"really?" peter asked, tilting his head.

"okay." stevie mumbled, her cheeks puffing out as she let out a breath of air. "how about, you guys roam around or something and wait for me to be done with this class? then we can go to the lab? yeah? sounds like a plan?" she suggested, all three boys opening their mouths to say no. but stevie didn't let them. "sounds great. cool. you guys are the bests of friends a girl could ask for." she told them before she walked back into mrs.evans class.

"stevie, just in time." mrs.evans smiled, waiting for the girl to sit down. stevie only smiled picking up her pencil to start writing notes again. mrs.evans went back to the lesson, everything going in one ear and out the other.

when the bell had finally rung, the students didn't waist no time on grabbing their belongings and flying out the classroom. stevie took her time to pack her books into her bag, not wanting anything to get crumbled in the process. she saw someone sit next to her from the corner of her eye, making her look up to see that it was mj. a smile immediately pulled at her lips as she faced the taller girl.

"michelle, hi." stevie greeted, zipping her book bag up.

"hi." michelle repeated, a small smile appearing on her lips. "is everything okay? donnie told me that you had to go home early last night."

"oh, yeah. my - i didn't tell my mom i was going to the party and she didn't like that, so. . ." stevie lied, looking down at her fingers before she looked back up at mj. the jones girl caught this, knowing that stevie was lying, but she didn't want to push. "i didn't get grounded or anything, but i did get yelled at, so. . ."

"stephanie f. carpenter!" the voice of donnie called, appearing in the doorway. "please hurry the fuck up! peter won't stop whining!" his eyes widened when he saw that stevie was talking to mj. he smiled awkwardly, sending a wave towards the jones girl. mj waved back, a tight lipped smile on her lips. "sorry." he apologized before he disappeared. stevie rolled her eyes.

"f? what does the f stand for?" mj quizzed, tilting her head slightly as she looked at stevie with a teasing smile.

"fallon." the carpenter girl answered. "my dad was obsessed with jimmy fallon when he was growing up, and was even more obsessed when the dude got his own talk show. so. . . i'm named after a previous snl member."

"stevie! come on, dude!" peter's voice appeared, stevie sighing when she heard that he was whining.

"yeah, okay, petey. don't get your boxers in a bunch." stevie mumbled, standing up from her seat as she placed her bag on her back. she turned to mj, sending the taller girl a smile. "i'll see you around?"

"yeah." mj nodded, standing up as well. she was the first to walk out, stevie following her. mj waved to the three boys that were outside the classroom before she walked down the hall. stevie watched her go, a small smile on her face.

"whipped!" donnie yelled, earning a glare from his best friends. stevie quickly elbowed him in his stomach, causing the boy to bend over as a grunt left his mouth. mj turned to look at the group before she disappeared around a corner, stevie waving at her. "i can't breathe." donnie groaned, holding onto stevie for support.

"sorry, i forget how strong i am." the carpenter girl quickly apologized, looking down at the boy in worry. "i'm so sorry, donnie." all the taller boy did was nod, forcing a small smile to appear on his lips before made himself stand up straight. with that the groups started to walk towards the lab.

"first, i say we put the glory thing in the mass spectrometer." ned suggested as they walk down the hall.

"well, first, we gotta come up with a better name than 'glory thing.'" peter corrected, earning a nod from stevie.

"you're right." ned nodded.

stevie looked down the hall, seeing a familiar man turn the corner. her eyes widened when she realized that one of the men was the one that they had fought the night before. she quickly slapped peter's arm, trying to get his attention. when she did, she quickly pointed down the hall, making the curly haired boy look to see who she was pointing at. his eyes widened as he let out a curse, swiftly jumping behind the wall. stevie did the same, donnie right behind her as they all moved behind the wall. ned was the only one who had to process what was happening, looking around for his friends before he finally found them, moving towards the wall. stevie realized that the wall had windows so you could look into the classroom, seeing some kids playing chess.

"hey, that's one of the guys that tried to kill us." peter announced.

"didn't you guys have your masks on? why are we hiding?" donnie quizzed, looking between the two spiderlings.

"wait, what?" ned asked, earning a nod from both peter and stevie. "we gotta get out of her."

"no, no, no. i gotta follow them." peter whispered, peaking around the corner to see where the two men went. "maybe they can lead us to the guy that dropped us in the lake."

"someone dropped you guys in a lake?" ned and donnie questioned in unison.

"yeah, it was not good. i thought stevie died." peter nodded, turning to look at the two boys before he looked back at the guys in the hall. he saw that they were going down into the cellar where shop class is held. he stepped out, ned quickly calling out after him. "no, you guys stay here. i'm just gonna try to get a tracker on them or something." he whispered before he walked out into the hall.

"he has trackers?" donnie asked, looking down at stevie. the carpenter girl nodded, watching as peter leaped from one side of the hall to the other and down the stairs. the trio jumped at the sound of something tapping the window, making all of them turn to see a kid.

"what are you doing?" he asked the group of three.

"nothing." ned quickly answered.

"oh."

"yeah. you good?"

"chess."

"do you think if you was to bite me hard enough, you would be able to change me into a bug person?" donnie asked, a glare on his eyes when he realized that stevie had caught him acting like the geek he was.

"i doubt it." stevie answered truthfully, putting her camera back on her desk. "why? you wanna be a vigilante, too, now?"

"no, it was just a thought." donnie shrugged, pulling remnant's mask off before he threw it at the curly haired girl. she caught it with ease before she got up, putting it in her hiding spot along with the rest of her suit. "how do you think your mother is gonna react if she finds out?"

"horribly." stevie mumbled. she went back to her chair, plopping down in it. "she doesn't have anything against remnant or spidey, but i know that if she finds out i'm the one wearing the mask, she's gonna lose her shit."

"fair point." donnie nodded. donnie looked over at his phone when he heard the earth to echo notification go off, meaning that peter had texted him. steve's phone went off too, it being a song that a spider-man fan had made and posted on youtube.

"spider-man, spider-man. friendly neighborhood spider-man." she mumbled as she grabbed her phone from her desk, looking down at the text that was sent to the group chat.
