TRIGGER WARNING ;; MENTION OF GUN.

...

Although [Name] was patched up and the search for a cure was at the top of the list for things to do, they weren't allowed back to the Firelight Sanctuary for that matter. Possibly, from how their aggression might get even worse for them to cause some unexpected damage at the Sanctuary or the fact that they'll keep on growing 'n growing too much at this point.

On the topic of the cure-search, Jinx was swaying away in her lab, jazzing to some music and had her goggles fixated on, whilst trying to search on a cure. She was quite intent on winning this 'competition', even if Ekko said numerous times that it was to be taken seriously.

Jinx was never one to listen to Ekko that much.

Bopping her head to the beat of the song, her blue hair swayed about, as the cogs were practically whirring in her head. Spinning around on her chair, she tossed a bomb behind her and didn't flinch at the oncoming explosion and set out her blueprints to find some sort of solution.

The music was blaring up, somehow causing a disturbance to a particular person. "Jinx."

Though, their first way of trying to get noticed by her was failed, the figure called out her name even more louder. But, as you could tell, the music was too loud for her to hear. So, the figure brought out their gun from their cloak, shooting a bullet at the radio. This caused it to fly off from the table, collapse in a heap of rubbish spilling out from it, as the song was whirred out and drained.

Jinx put her little work-montage to a stop, slowly turning her chair around and sulked. "Aw, man: it was getting to the good part, Silco!" She leaned her head back, letting out a prolonged and exaggerated groan.

Silco rolled his eyes, glancing over Jinx's shoulder to see some blueprints spread out onto her desk. "Jinx. What are you doing?"

"Oh, me? Well, just trying to find a cure to turn my monster best-friend back into a human best-friend!" She grinned brightly, as if she had accomplished something, about to swing the other way to continue her work, but Silco put a firm grip on her seat to stop her from moving.

"Who is this 'friend' of yours...? Do you mean the lab-rat Dr Singed had earlier?"

"Well, they aren't really a rat, but yeah!"

"Well, I don't need them turned back. They need to be the way they are, so that they are looked into more...experiments."

To this, Jinx tilted her head to the side and frowned slightly. "But, won't they just be even more mad?"

"Dr Singed is working on a way to keep the aggressiveness at bay, but who says that we won't use their anger to our advantage? Besides, I'm only telling you to bring them back to the lab, if you do...You'll spend more time with them." He slipped in the last comment quickly, to sway Jinx into persuasion of changing her mission to capturing [Name] instead.

Tilting her head to the side, Jinx still didn't feel as convinced, her frown only grew even more and tapped her chin in thought. "They won't want to come back here though--"

"You can bring them back here in any way. Whether, they like it or not: wouldn't you want to spend more time with them?" Silco interrupted Jinx, inquiring a question to her and his red iris kept itself intently on her.

Jinx perked up at this, shuffling about in her seat and slowly nodding. "...Yeah-Yeah! Maybe, you're right: curing them, will make them leave me." And, she didn't want [Name] to leave them. Ever.

Jinx feared that she would feel and be alone forever.

Jinx gripped her head, letting out a grunted yell and shook her head in dismay. "Shut up, shut up, shut up..." She continued muttering those words, scrunching her eyes up in revolt at the voices irritating and getting to her.

A small sigh of relief wavered over her, feeling as if, the voices had wavered away. Well, they didn't: the voices just came back again.

"SHUT UP." Jinx demanded in a tone of lividness, letting out heavy breaths and slowly removed her hands from her ears. Awaiting for the voices to appear, she glanced around to see that Silco was long gone from the room. He knew how it was with Jinx and her voices, so he didn't mind when he knew it was his time to take his leave.

Jinx slumped down on her chair, it was obvious for what her answer would be. Silco knew it full well.

"I'll bring you back here, [Name]. And, you can stay with me forever and ever...." A heavy breath left her lips, a coy smile slyly formed onto her lips and her expression darkened. Slowly spinning on her chair, she faced her blueprints and pushed them aside.

She then brought out her little plansheet on a new bomb she had been planning for recently. One that she had shown to [Name], but it was sadly ignored.

At least, the bomb wouldn't be ignored anymore, once Jinx put it to some good use.

...

[Name] felt quite lonely for the past few days. They had to keep moving about to different locations, because one or the other ended up not being safe enough for them. But, they managed to find one certain place that not much people would bother going into, since the place didn't look too pretty and all.

[Name] did try to make the area a bit homely for themselves, but that obviously ended up failing. It seemed that the weather in Zaun wanted to be a prick towards [Name], so their little blanket tent that they had scavenged out was getting easily damped and torn slightly from how hard the rain was beating it.

Staying under the fragile tent, [Name] scrunched up their nose in annoyance, once the whole thing fell down onto their head and a sigh left their lips. Grabbing the damp blanket, they tried lying down and proceeded to sleep off the rain, pulling the blanket over themself. Unfortunately, that didn't work.

An irritated gruff left [Name's] mouth, shoulders slumped in a dejected manner and just sat up, no longer bothering to cover themself from the rain. They didn't give a shit, if they were going to get drenched out here. It wasn't, like they had anywhere else to go, so they had to try and deal with this annoying weather.

Though, they perked up within confusion, not really understanding why the rain must've stopped all of a sudden. Looking up, [Name] tilted their head and widened their eyes in shock from seeing an umbrella nearby them, glanced to the side to see the masked Firelight Leader grasping an umbrella, which was directedly above [Name].

Ekko had been quite busy himself, trying to look up on a cure for [Name], seemingly growing aware on how the changes for [Name] would happen at some point, if Jinx was correct on her theory.

[Name] stared at Ekko, but the Firelight Leader seemed to be already staring back at them, but he glanced away quickly, as soon as [Name] had made eye-contact with him. Glancing towards the ground, the boy took off his mask and merely muttered, "Y'know, you're gonna catch a cold out here, you should've told me, Firefly: I could have helped to set up--"

"Mmm, I know." [Name] cut in, crossing their arms and let out a small huff. As the huff was let out, their veins flashed an orange-greenish colour and the Firelight Beast let out a small sigh. "Just, didn't feel-- that I needed...help."

Ekko merely rolled his eyes amusingly, nudging at [Name]. "C'mon, Firefly. I saw a small shelter below us, that we can stay at for a while."

"Us?"

"Yeah, I'm staying with you, until this rain goes off, Firefly. Problem?" The white-haired boy smirked, raising a teasing manner and awaited the other's answer.

"Wait?!-- No, no...problem. Let's go." With that, [Name] swung their way down, landing with a thump on the ground and glanced around. Ekko swayed on his hoverboard, riding down to the bottom swiftly and pointed over to the corner. There seemed to be a small crack in it.

"There." Making their way over, [Name] torn the small crack into an even bigger one and saw a dusted room.

"Well, now you have somewhere to stay for the time being." Ekko spoke up, to which: [Name] nodded and started to look on around the place.

At least, they didn't have to deal with the shitty weather.
