𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐗. | ❛ Hulk Out. ❜

NATASHA GRUNTED AS SHE LOOKED OVER TO JAMIE, who was passed out on the floor next to her, and towards Bruce who was breathing heavily, having landed hard. He's gripping the grated floor to maintain control, but his eyes said otherwise.

"I'm okay." The Russian quietly said to herself and looked at her friend once again, her breathing shallow. "We're okay, right?"

Jamie groaned beside her as she shifted her body to the side. Slowly opening her eyes, she winced as another pain engulfed her body and let out another moan. She turned her body once again and was met with the pair, her face paling as she watched Bruce turn green. She quickly glanced at Natasha and saw her foot was stuck in a metal pipe. With another grunt, the ex-soldier scooted closer and lifted up the pipe, pulling her free.

Natasha gave her a grateful look and let out a sigh in relief, "Thanks, Milla."

Jamie stood up, her legs feeling wobbly as she held on to the railing, her gaze roaming around the room, trying to find an exit.

"Doctor..Bruce, you gotta fight it. This is just what Loki wants. We're gonna be okay. Listen to me." Natasha reassured him, causing Bruce to groan loudly.

Two approaching S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers arrived, but Jamie furiously waved them away. The two didn't hesitate and bolted away from there.

"We're gonna be okay. Right? I swear on my life I will get you out of this, you will walk away, and never-"

Bruce roared with anger, his face clouding with anger. "Your life?" the bitter amusement morphing into a snarl. He cried out in pain as he transformed into the Hulk. Jamie's blood turned cold and stepped in front of Natasha.

Natasha stood up, her trembling hands finding her way into Jamie's shoulder. "Bruce." she whimpered, looking at him with wide eyes.

Jamie tilted her head to the side, and carefully glanced at her, "Nat, run. I'm right behind you." she told her, her demeanor stoic, not turning her face away from him.

Natasha gave her a look, her frown deepening. "I'm not leaving without you." She fretted, watching her eyes turning dark. The duo jumped as his growls became louder and he gave them one last knowing look before going full-on Hulk mode.

"Nat, now!" Jamie demanded, causing the assassin to jolt up the stairs, leaving her alone with the Hulk. He fastened his pace and started to chase after them. Jamie crossed her wrist and shot a telekinetic wave towards him, causing him to smash into a wall. She took a glance before jolting up the stairs, with Hulk roaring with anger not too far behind her.

Jamie leaped up from the stairs, landing under a turbine. She crawled through the maze of pipes, but Hulk quickly caught her pace and pulled one of the pipes, throwing it towards her. She ducked down and fell under the catwalks, stealthily escaping. The Hulk let out a roar of rage, leaving him completely alone.

Jamie leaned her body against the railing, her hunched form sliding down with a soft thud. She panted and wiped her glistening face with a frown, her gaze darting across the bridge.

It didn't take long before Natasha found her. She crawled under the catwalk and quietly walked towards the ex-soldier. Jamie's eyes shot up and met the short redhead who held a gun in her hands. "Are you okay?" Jamie nodded and stood up from her seat, her hand holding onto her friend's arm as she helped her up.

"C'mon, we need to find a way out of here. He's coming closer." Natasha told her, her gun loaded and ready to fire. Jamie nodded, her hands placed on the holster. She internally cursed and saw that her swords were nowhere to be seen. She tiptoed behind the assassin as they continuously crawled under the catwalk.

Natasha spun, making Jamie almost crash into her back. The pair held their breath and looked around. A sudden roar erupted the room, making the ground vibrate. Natasha fired a shot into a pipe that hit him in the face.

The Hulk smashed the pipe and the duo ran through the maze of corridors. The sound of him coming closer, made them sprint faster and finally reached a longer corridor. As they run, behind them, Hulk tore up the hallway, coming at them.

Jamie turned to see, but she was slammed into a
wall along with Natasha. Her body collided with hers as they both went flying down the ground. Jamie quickly shot up from her spot and was ready to strike at him, but Thor beat her to it and knocked him out of his feet, tackling him into the next room.

Jamie wheezed, feeling her lungs close at the fall. She coughed and let out a groan as she limped to Natasha, who was sitting, her body rocking back and forth as she looked shaken up. As she was about to reach her, Jamie was thrown back once again, but this time a stream of fire knocked her into the next room.

Jamie gasped for air, feeling her body crumble down the ground with a thud. She held her stomach and whimpered in pain, not noticing a figure looming over her. Feeling a presence in front of her she looked up and almost gasped, "Elijah?" she managed to let out, looking at the scientist with wide eyes.

Elijah blankly looked at her, his glowing bright blue eyes staring down at her. Jamie's heart dropped and she slowly stood up, her eyes still on him. "Lijah...It's me, Jamie," she said in a small voice as she slowly inched closer.

Realizing it was a mistake, Elijah held her into a chokehold and squeezed her throat. He left her without any air, making her squirm against his grip.

She clawed her fingers at his hands, but she was slowly losing consciousness. His dull eyes glowered, making her heart beat faster, realizing Loki was controlling his mind.

With her last breath, she squeezed her fist and muttered a sign. Feeling her hand vibrate with energy, she brought her hand up the side of his face. Elijah was left stunned, his grip slowly loosening, making her fall on the ground with a thud. She coughed and held her throat, feeling her breathing coming back to normal.

She looked up but was met with his fist slamming into her face. She fell back and hissed, "I've been falling for thirty minutes. C'mon!" Jamie whined, her eyes turning black.

Elijah grabbed her once again and was about to cast another spell, but she was faster and crawled her way around him, making him drop his hand, but he pulled out a blade on her.

Using her hand-to-hand combat, she maneuvered around him and dodged his hits, causing them to hit the railing with him trapping her between him. She grunted and slammed her head into his and grabbed his blade. She aimed it at him, but he was quicker and grabbed her arm, twisting it and pulling her down. She cried out and groaned, the veins under her eyes increasing.

She elbowed him in the chest and used her body to throw them against the railing. Elijah groaned, his grip on her loosening. She kicked his stomach and struck another punch on his face, causing him to fall backward. He brought his hand out and struck a telekinetic wave, but she dodged it and struck the same wave towards him, causing him to hit his head on the ground with a loud thud. He groaned and rolled to his side, the blue glow slowly disappearing from his eyes, forming back to its original color.

Jamie let out a shaky breath as she sauntered over him, noticing the compulsion was gone. She hovered over him and placed both of her hands on her hips, and looked at him with a tired look. "I wished we had our reunion differently," Jamie admitted, her voice hoarse.

Elijah's head perked up at the sound of her voice and gave her a look of surprise. "Jamilla?" he managed to let out, his hazy eyes staring at her figure.

Jamie faintly smiled, "The one and only." she replied, and brought her hand out to him. He clasped his hand to hers as she helped him to his feet.

Elijah turned to look at the female in front of her, his gaze softening. Elijah was, along with Anna and Jamie, the only survivors from H.R.N., and he was one of the prominent scientists and sorcerers at that time, being overly helpful to defeat the agency. The three remained together after the battle and stayed close. While the girls joined S.H.I.E.L.D, Elijah stayed low and worked on his own, hiding from society. However, after Jamie's protests, he eventually gave in and found himself working for Stark Industries.

"This feels like 1954 all over again." Jamie pulled him off from his thoughts, causing him to snap back to reality.

He let out a chuckle before taking her into his arms. Jamie melted at his touch and wrapped her arms around his waist. She let out a laugh before speaking, "What's up with people hugging me? Annie did the same earlier, not that I'm complaining, but.." she muffled into his chest, causing his chest to vibrate with laughter.

"Well, darling, you're not the most available person." he reminded her before pulling away to give her a knowing look. She gave him a glare and shook her head, her glare turning into a pout, realizing it was true.

He patted her back and gave her a smile, "As much as I would love to catch up, I assume we have a god on the loose?" he told her, causing her to pause.

"What? Isn't Loki locked up in his cell?"

His silence told her everything and she bolted out of the bridge, leaving a confused yet amused Elijah behind.

After running through numerous halls and corridors, she finally found his cell, but Loki was nowhere to be seen and she was about to turn her heel the other way when she noticed Coulson sprawled on the floor, his weapon placed on his lap.

Tears threatened to fall as she slowly made her way towards him. "Oh, god. C-Coulson." she whimpered, squatting in front of him and gently touching his wound. She sniffed as her tears slid down her pink cheeks.

Coulson covered his hand with hers and gave her a smile, "The god rabbited." he croaked out, blood spilling from his mouth.

Jamie clenched her jaw, "Stay with me." she grabbed his chin and made him look at her. Coulson let out a breathy laugh and shook his head, "I'm clocking out, Barzinji. I don't think I'm gonna make it." he admitted, feeling his lungs close up.

Jamie let out a soft cry, shaking her head. She was about to say something, but a hand was placed on her shoulder. She glanced at her side and saw Fury looking at him, a tint of pain clouding his eyes. She scooted to the side to make room for him as they both grieved in silence, losing their friend.
