𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐍𝐄. | ❛ Avengers Initiative. ❜

JAMIE PUSHED THE GLASS DOORS OF S.H.I.E.L.D'S ENTRANCE WITH A STOIC EXPRESSION ON HER FACE, taking a look around the Helicarrier and hummed in satisfaction. Her footsteps echoed through the room, the sound of her heels clicking down the floor making a few workers glance at her way, nodding respectively at the female in which she did the same while she held a file in her hand. It took almost a week and a half to make a decision of joining the Avengers Initiative, and she's never felt so anxious. Natasha's scoldings and support did help to some degree, but another side of her also missed the heroic act and saving the world. She called the assassin the morning before she was gonna head over the jet and Natasha couldn't be any happier to see her best friend making improvements, but her anxiety was still at its peak and she had to remind herself that it was for a good cause — defeating the enemy, something she's done almost all her life.

"We are at level, sir." Maria Hill announced to Nick Fury with a nod while heading over to one of the agents to check on the computers. She glanced around the room for a bit before stopping, locking eyes with Jamie who gave her a smile in greeting. Maria gave her a wink and got back to what she was doing.

"Good, let's vanish," Nick said and put both of his hands on the wheel of the jet. The Helicarrier rose high into the sky. The entire ship was covered in reflecting mirrors, which then camouflaged in the sky.

Walking through the glorious, gleaming bridge, Jamie sauntered towards Fury who had his back facing her. "Hope I didn't miss anything big," she lightly chimed as she hugged the folder to her chest, giving him a smile.

He turned around and gave her a nod, his lips twitching upwards at her arrival. "Glad you could finally join us," he said in an approving manner as she gave him the file of her last assignment.

Jamie shrugged, putting her hands into her pockets, "Yeah. The research assignments eventually became boring so I'm moving on from that." she told him in a joking manner, letting him guide her down the small stairs.

Fury chuckled under his breath and lightly shook his head. Her gaze maneuvered around the room till her gaze landed on two unfamiliar figures, watching them staring at the Helicarrier in awe. Before she could open her mouth, Fury beat her to it.

"Gentlemen." The two stopped in their tracks and looked at the agent with an astonishing look and Jamie had to stifle a laugh at their reaction.

"Cap, Banner, this is Agent Barzinji. The-" He was abruptly cut off by Bruce Banner who looked at the female with a glint of surprise clouding in his eyes.

"The Heroine," Bruce finished his sentence with a gentle smile on his face. His breath hitched at the sight of her.

Jamie's head turned to him, her eyes slightly wide and a tint of crimson painting her cheeks. She walked towards the duo and smiled, "It's a pleasure, Dr. Banner." her gentle tone filling his ears, making him nod his head as he shook her hand.

"She will be joining the team with the rest of you," Fury added, giving her a pat on the back before walking back at the wheel.

Steve took the chance and stepped in front of the ex-soldier, bringing his hand out. "Steve Rogers," he introduced himself, his face forming into a soft smile.

She returned the gesture with a firm nod, giving him a smile, "Nice to finally meet Captain America himself." she chirped, causing him to chuckle before letting go of her hand.

"Right back at you, Ma'am," he responded with a boyish grin, referring to what Bruce showed off a moment ago, and got back to wandering around the jet in amazement. He walked over to Fury, giving him 10 bucks, referring to his earlier statement about never being surprised again.

Jamie looked at the pair with amusement and walked back on the bridge, seeing Natasha already there looking down at one of the computer screens with a picture of Clint Barton.

A wave of sadness washed over her, her lips forming into a pout. Clenching her jaw, she made her way to the Russian assassin. "We're gonna find him, Nat. Don't worry," she reassured her friend with a comforting smile.

Natasha turned around, her broody expression melting away as she tried to mirror her smile. She gave her a nod before taking her into her arms. "I'm really glad you're here, Milla," she murmured into her shoulder, squeezing her tight.

Jamie rubbed her back, "Me too, Nat." she said and pulled away, giving her a smile.

"So, any thoughts on Cap?" Natasha quickly changed the subject, a smirk forming her lips, and leaned closer whilst Jamie rolled her eyes and laughed.

"He's pretty cute, I give you that," she responded with a sheepish smile before leaving her on the spot.

A scoff erupted from Natasha's lips as she watched her friend heading to the head computers to look for any location on Loki.

"Agent Romanoff, would you show Dr. Banner to his laboratory, please." Fury interrupted her thoughts, making her obey.

"You're gonna love it, Doc. We got all the toys." Natasha walks off, leading Bruce down the hall. She gave one last look at Jamie before guiding him down the building.

Jamie along with Jasper Sitwell, took a look at the computer screen, waiting to locate Loki using a satellite facial recognition. She bit the insides of her cheeks as she anxiously waited for the results.

Phil Coulson stood beside Steve as they waited, "I mean if it's not too much trouble," Agent Coulson told Steve with a smile.

"No, no. It's fine." He politely brushed him off, folding his arms in front of his chest as he stared off in the distance. Coulson still kept going but eventually got cut off by Jamie, who slammed her hand on the table, which earned a few looks. "We got a hit! A sixty-seven percent match."

Jasper paused, narrowing his eyes at the screen, "Wait. Crossmatch, seventy-nine percent." he added, bringing his chair closer to the table.

Coulson stood beside the duo with a focused expression, "Location?"

Jamie leaned closer to the screen, "Stuttgart, Germany. 28, Konigstrasse. He's not exactly hiding." She told him, narrowing her eyes at the choice of the gods' attire.

Fury looked from his projector and looked up, "Captain, Barzinji, you're up." he ordered, making the duo nod their heads and disappear down the hall.
