✐ "GOOD MORNING, MISS RIN!", the itadori twins greeted — both wearing the same clothes, having the same hairstyle, and maintaining the same bubbly smile.
"good morning, yūji and sukuna. I have your surprises ready, and we have a new friend joining us today", rin informed.
the twins glanced at each other, both expressing a minuscule, almost neutral, smile.
"thank you", the two said in sync.
rin only lightly chuckled, very impressed by how the two have managed to keep up their act, as she rummaged through the closet of the daycare.
"here's your surprise. two new uniforms that are made with the softest silk that I could afford", rin showcased, handing the two itadoris a blue seifuku.
"and addition to that, I have bought these matching hats for you guys", rin smiled, showing them the said items that had the ears and stripes of a tiger.
both itadoris managed to contain their excitement, perhaps one more than the other.
"thank you", the two squeaked out in sync.
with both hats on their heads, the two had headed towards the game room, meanwhile the doorbell installed at the gate of the daycare had rung.
hurrying outside, rin had warmly welcomed the fushiguros.
"good morning mister and mrs. fushiguro. and good morning to you too, megumi".
"good morning miss rin! I heard that you just recently opened and I'm so glad that you did, as all daycares are quite a while away from us!", fushiguro tsumugi — the wife of tōji — exclaimed.
"well I'm glad that I can be of assistance. please rest assured that your child will be safe and be having fun with the others at the same time", rin smiled.
"thank you very much! my husband and I will be back in the afternoon to pick him up. see you soon miss rin!", tsumugi stated.
the dark-haired woman then kneeled down as she kissed megumi's forehead.
"behave for miss rin, megumi. we'll be back after work", tsumugi promised.
rin simply waved as the couple left, kneeling down to meet megumi's eye level, as she stuck out her hand.
call it a teacher's intuition, but the woman had felt that megumi was probably one of the more observant and mature kids for his age group.
"nice to meet you, megumi. you may refer to me as miss rin or anything that you feel comfortable with", the kind woman introduced.
megumi hesitantly shook her hand, his grip extremely gentle, as if worried that rin would pull him in and hurt him.
"nice to meet you", megumi mumbled, awkwardly meeting the woman's gaze.
"how about we go inside? there's the itadori twins — yūji and sukuna — waiting for you to join them", rin stated, leading the boy inside, as megumi had only hummed.
in the main room, sat yūji and sukuna, both trying to pull the blue seifuku over their heads, with much determination.
"oh dear. did you guys unbutton the button at the back first?", rin asked, helping the twins dress properly, as they witnessed megumi standing by the leeway to the hall.
"who's he?", sukuna asked, trying to sound less brazen than usual.
"fushiguro megumi", the green-eyed boy answered for himself.
"well I'm—"
sukuna immediately covered yūji's mouth, sending him a warning glare.
to be honest, rin had already figured out who was who when they had first walked in.
it was easy.
"actually, today we're playing a game called guess which twin is which", rin chuckled.
"oh! and before I forget, let me get you your uniform as well", rin said, getting back up as she momentarily left the three boys together.
yūji stood up as he rushed over towards megumi, cupping his mouth with both hands, as he tried his best to whisper.
"I'm actually itadori yūji and that's my brother itadori sukuna. mom says sukuna's older only by a few minutes", yūji explained.
"I see", megumi shortly replied.
yūji then cleared his throat, talking normally now — trying not to sound too elated at the potential of making a new friend.
"so do you have any siblings?", the youngest itadori asked.
"no. I have a lot of uncles and aunts though", megumi stated.
"oh really?! I only know my grandpa. he's pretty cool. he teaches sukuna and I how to count and stuff whenever he gets the chance to come over", yūji rambled.
"anyways, you should come build the train tracks with us", yūji exclaimed, boldly snatching megumi's hand and pulling the boy towards his twin and a pile of wooden pieces.
when rin had came back with the same uniform for megumi, the boy had easily slipped his arms through the sleeves without any trouble.
"before we play with the toys, how about we sing and dance to a little song?", rin suggested, as she felt that tunes were always a great way to start the morning.
sukuna was about to complain, before he stopped himself, only fake smiling and nodding.
yūji just clapped, as megumi didn't seem to mind nor care for that matter.
"okay, then let's all stand up and hold hands with each other", rin smiled, holding onto sukuna (unfortunately for him) and megumi's hands.
the four then walked in a clockwise manner, meanwhile rin sang: "ten thousand feet up in the alps, on mount koyari! let's do the alpine dance, hay!"
yūji started repeating after rin, which meant that sukuna had to also.
megumi merely mumbled the lyrics beneath his breath, as rin had dropped onto her bum when the song was finished.
the three children fell on their bottoms as well, causing rin to softly laugh, as she gently ruffled megumi's hair while pinching yūji and sukuna's chubby cheeks.
megumi discreetly smiled, as he felt that perhaps daycare wasn't too intimidating after all.

"so which one of us is yūji and which one of us is sukuna?", the older itadori twin questioned.
rin hummed as if it were a truly difficult question.
kaori and jin watched with amusement, as megumi still had trouble telling the difference even after yūji had whispered to him who was who.
"the one on my right is yūji, and the one on my left is sukuna", rin widely smiled, to which yūji had jumped up in celebration, as sukuna had loudly gasped.
"h-how did you know?!"
'yūji's eyes are light brown and yours are more of a dark maroon', rin had originally wanted to say.
"it's just the aura you two give off", rin teased.
"MOM!! I TOLD YOU THAT SHE'S A WITCH!!", sukuna yelled, causing kaori to cover the boy's mouth, as she deeply bowed in apology.
"ITADORI SUKUNA, FOR THE LAST TIME; MISS RIN IS NOT A WITCH!!"
