"It's a great day today." A lazy man stated, standing under the shades of the tree close by. Turning over and showed his lazy droopy gaze, he let out a small grin.

"Ain't it, princess?"

"Yeah!!"

A young girl shouted while both of her arms up in the air. Excitement launching into the atmosphere; her enthusiastic aura as she looked up to the older man. Lightening the world around them, the lazy man placed his arms around the young girl's waist and pulled her by his side.

Closing his eyes, comforted by the shades of the leaves in the breezy, sunny day. "Come on, let's take a nap." A large smile at the mention of the thing he loved most, he was genuine and blunt.

"Yeah!!" Getting comfortable by his hold, she closed her eyes in relaxation.

But it was then where a woman came and disturbed their nap time. "No more naps. You've both had enough."

Past aside, the two continued to pretend like the woman wasn't there. Though the woman continued to pull the man's pointy ears, earning a yelp from both the kid and the male.

"Rhya, don't ruin her sleeping schedule. She'll get ill that way."

Rubbing his ears in pain, the male hissed lazily. "Hah? Why is it my fault?!"

"Ahahaha!"

Living peacefully was a family made of three: father, mother, and their only daughter. With their pointy ears and relinquish characteristics, it is known that they were elves. The father, a lazy man who always does things to a minimal, Rhya. A dual haired man with those droopy eyes filled with none other than exhaustion.

"Just come here and nap with us." Rhya yawned, opening his arms wide in an invitation. The young girl by his grasp yawning and turning to her mother. "Yeah, ma!"

The mother dropped her serious act, stifling a laugh while her (h/c)-hair blown slowly by the breeze. The (e/c) shades stared at one another, a smile on both of their faces.

"Alright. But just for a few minutes."

They are one family of elves. Happy and living their usual lives as sacred creatures of the wilds. All is great and wondrous. Their time spent was enjoyable and fun. Waves of laughter up in the air.

"Rhya, wake up." (y/n) spoke, slapping the male by his cheeks lightly to wake him up.

Laying under the bright sun, on top of the grassy hill, Rhya enjoyed the warmth given by the golden sun. But now, he has another source of warmth.

She blocked the sun from his view, irking his moment which in reflex, he twitched his eyes and furrowed his brows while closed. "Not now."

"We have to meet the others. Wake up before I leave you."

"No~" He whined, pulling her to the ground, earning a yelp from (y/n). A teasing laugh just showed how he is childish unintentionally.

A slap was then thrown on his face, marking it in red. "Ow!" But even after what she said, she continued to stay by his side. Letting him rest by her lap while he closed his eyes and enveloped himself in warmth.

"Where is she?" He changed the topic, referring to his baby girl.

She sighed and stroked his hair, "Playing with the others. Seems like she's having a pretty good time." Looking across the fields and hill of their home, they could see her from afar with the other children of elves.

He slowly opened one of his eyes, gazing across and tried to find the young girl he meant. Grumbling to see her standing close to them and not her father. "I prefer her to spend more time with me."

"Well, sometimes she needs to hang out with people other than her parents." His wife responded, kissing the part where red marks still lie from her slap.

Protesting and whining quietly, "No. My baby girl shall remain mine."

"She needs friends."

He sighs and faces his wife with his usual dead eyes. "Friends could be evil."

While the two lovers chattered and stating their minds, their daughter has been struggling to keep up and chatter with people by her age.

Falling unto her bosom, she yelped in pain. The other children mustered an act of 'courage' and threw sticks to her, scrapping and wounding her skin and flesh. "You can't play with us!"

"W-Why...?" She asked. It has been happening for weeks now. She wasn't sure why in the world was she not able to play with them. She's a child that needs company, but somehow their playtimes back then were long forgotten by the other kids.

"You're not one of us."

"Huh?" Their silly statements brought questions by her head. She looked up to them and winced as another stick scrapped her skin.

"You're human, Filthy."

Confused, her ears perked by the word human. She clearly is an elf and has elf ears to be shown. "I-I'm an elf!" She pointed over towards her ears and backed away from the piles of sticks that began to form around her.

A young elf laughed, "Pfft! Yeah, right. Your mother is. But your dad isn't."

Struck like a pain in the back, her heart clenched in disbelief. "H-Huh...?"

Standing up, she brushed the left leaves and dust off of her. "What do you mean? My papa is an elf, too! He's the best!"

"Rhya-san as your father? You've been lied to. He's not your father." One of the youngsters proclaimed, turning away after flashing a look by her. "My mom told me to distance myself from you. Let's go, guys."

As they walked away, (d/n) blinked her tears away. Hearing their conversation pained her, but what hurts her the most was the lie that she refused to believe. "Can't you believe it? Her mana is so low that I barely felt it."

"Papa...?"

Clenching her fist, she slowly walked over to the hill where she has always lived. Finding her two parents on the grassy lanes, enjoying the view and their not-knowing romantic moment.

(y/n) faced her daughter with a smile, noticing her daughter was back form her 'playtime'. "Oh, she's back. Did you have fun, dear?" Not facing away from the small braid she placed by her husband's hair.

"Mama... Papa...?" A sob left her mouth.

He snapped his eyes open and went over to her in the speed of light, checking over to see and know what was going on. "What's wrong, baby? Did something wrong happen? Who hurt you?"

The mother too stood and walked over to her daughter and her husband. (d/n) sobbed while looking down to the grass, avoiding making eye contact with her 'father'."You're not my papa...?"

"What do you mean, baby? I'm your daddy."

She shook her head, supping her eyes with her two hands. "The guys told me that I couldn't play with them... I am not one of them..."

Rhya looked over to his wife, noticing her frozen state. He tried to pry her hand while pulling her to his arms. "Who said it?"

The young girl proceeds to hug her father and clutch his white attire. "Now, now, baby. Come on, let's get you cleaned up, okay?" He carried her back to their home. Watching how his wife slowly walked behind him, nervous and afraid.

Letting the child go, he faced his wife and pulled her to an embrace. "She has to know..."

"But I can't tell her..." She replied, hugging him back in from the pain.

Rhya sighed, kissing her cheeks. "It's sooner or later. I'll tell her, alright?"

The young girl bit her nails, sucking on her thumb in misery. It was simply hard to know when you were told by someone else instead of the people closest to you about your true identity. Seems like her current father wasn't her's, to begin with.

He entered the room, gaining her attention which she turned away to isolate herself. Rhya sighed and sat by her side on her bed. Stopping to think of a way to spark out a conversation while his daughter waited.

"You aren't my daughter." He scratched his head, looking over to the small drawing she once drew.

She gloomed and got disheartened, speaking. "So, it's true...?"

He realizes how what he said really came out awfully wrong. Waving his hand while speaking. "You're not my biological daughter..."

Sighing, he knew he ruined and possibly made the atmosphere worst. Telling his daughter the truth. "I have always been with your mom. She had you..." Remembrance articulated through his mind, a smile stretching by his face.

"You're a bright sun, baby. Always have been."

"And then, I got married to her..."

Facing the quiet girl, Rhya slowly stroke her hair in anticipation. "We're sorry for not telling you sooner..."

She's a smart girl. She clearly heard how her father is trying to explain things and is telling her this for the good. And her mother, couldn't tell her about that. Since she's one of the ones hurting the most by just looking at her every day. He's trying to comfort her, and she's grateful for that.

Yet, it seems like her tears have loomed to his heart. She snapped and looked over to him with a smile as tears streamed from her eyes.

"T-That's alright! You're still my papa!"

Rhya faced her, smiling. "That's it. You're also my baby girl. My princess. Forever and always will be." Catching the jumping girl and fell unto the bed. The young girl smiled happily while she felt her father's comfort.

"Even if you don't have my blood inside of you... You will forever be my daughter and my whole universe."

(d/n) faces him, eyes twinkling from the tears and filled with admiration. "The universe?"

Nodding, Rhya kissed her forehead as he slowly felt the overbearing exhaustion cloud his mind. "Yeah. The universe. You and your mama will always be the centre of my world." Closing his eyes, sleep visioning his head.

"Promise?" The girl called, yawning. Rubbing her eyes as they became red and puffy.

The father smiled and closed his eyes. "Promise."

"I love you, papa."

"I love you too, baby."

As their conversation ended, the mother who has been listening to them all held her mouth as tears streamed. It has been hard to face reality. The reality which she realizes that her child wasn't her husband's and her's but another man. Someone from the past that she wished to forget.

Triggering her mind, it truly did pain her. Leaning by the wall, she leaned back and choked up a sob. "I love you both."

Walking towards the sleeping father and daughter, she laid by their side on the small bed. Rhya kissed her head, pulling her into an embrace. The warmth they emit, it was whole and one. Just as a family.

'My family.'

"(d/n)! (y/n)!" Rhya stood frozen in space, hearing names that he hasn't heard in ages. Turning slowly, there he saw a young girl with white hair running over to a man. His opposed side, a royal and a human.

"Papa!" The young girl shouts, his eyes widening in size. She jumped over to a white, front-braided male who caught her as he once did with his daughter.

"Nozel!"

Heart torn, Rhya stood quietly and thought of the fate and time he received. The unluckiness that has fallen by his shoulders for what he has caused. The lies that he made.

"Hold on. Here." Nozel threw his cape around the two females, worried captivated his mind.

"Are you two alright? I have been looking everywhere for you." Cupping their cheeks, his stoic face contorted with worry. His usual emotionless facade disappeared into nothing but care and love.

"We're alright... Are you, dear?" (y/n) replied, noticing the scratch by his cheek.

"Papa!"

The girl cried out and sobbed by his father's chest. Taking in their warmth as the source of comfort. Nozel sighed in relief. "Of course... I'm just glad that the both of you are alright..."

'Why aren't you both revived...?' Rhya clenched his fist.

"I have been waiting for you for centuries..." A voice from a different end of the Shadow Castle came, gaining their attention which Nozel took action and held them behind him.

"Huh?" (d/n) blinked, facing the unknown man.

"Stay back."

Rhya responded with his arm up in defense. "I'm not your enemy..." Dodging spears of mercury made by the royalty man.

Nozel gritted his teeth, after gaining all the wounds and damage from his previous fights. He placed his daughter by his wife's arms, telling her to move. "(y/n) take (d/n) and find Nebra and Solid—"

"You can't leave this place," Rhya spoke bluntly, eyes still locked over to the two female near Nozel's side. Irritated by the man with a patterned tattoo, Nozel's eyes glinted.

His grimoire open wide, shields made of mercury surrounded them as controlled spears launched over to the elf. "Tch. Don't get any closer to my family, you lowly elf."

Shadow gloomed by Rhya's face.

"They were my family."

"What nonsense do you speak of? They are mine." Attacking the male, landing a hit as the frozen man just stayed there feeling weak. "Stay away from us royals."

Rhya's eyes snapped wide, taking the information in and sticking the dots altogether. 'Royals...'

He looked over to the females of the group. His eyes fixated on 'the love of his life' and his 'princess', how the fear and awfully confused they were. Realization crashed into him like waves of Poseidon.

"So, that's why..."

"My darlings are not reincarnated as an elf..."

"...But as royals..."
