The winds of the Boreas' hissed in particles. The clattering of doubtedly soft materials rung by the air in vanquish presence of the winter regions. Its thuds to the ground outside hymned and lulled most to sleep. Albeit, the extremely cold temperature was strong enough to create further sharp solids within mid-air. It was worse than any cases of the year.

"How long am I going to stay here..." She wondered, leaning against the cold walls where she shivered in dismay. Her knees up to her chin, hugging it close for her own gains of warmth.

Her environment was none other than the mossy stone walls as it has been quite a long since anyone came and cleaned the place up. She couldn't do much, anyway. Not most could, and even worse, was that most didn't even know that her presence was there. Not to mention, it was tremendously freezing.

Looking to her front from her perspective below, she saw a man licking his unusually long tongue. The extremely large, round man with the outfit foreign to her ideas, but though some signs of his aura were enough for her to assume many things. His predator-like eyes stayed by her figure, letting chills fall down by her spine.

"Hehe! Forever, darling!"

The tall devil follower grinned feverishly, acting her senses up out of disgust. She was extremely creeped out, of course. How can she not? This man has been looking over her for months! Again, she can't do much since this place trapped her in.

With no magic allowed, she was left hopeless. Those magic circles were clearly stopping everything.

Shivering, she talked back honestly and straightforwardly, not caring how that creeper was an enemy. "I'll rot here if I do. No way, it's too dirty here." She stuttered in the cold and mucky jail cell.

"I have to leave this place." She gulped, moving to stand with the man's eyes following her figure.

"Don't stare at me like that! It's truly revolting! Go away, you sleazy creep!!" She cried out, resulting in the large man to laugh out.

"I am Robero Ringert! Lady Vanica's personal pet, a part of the Dark Disciple, and the closest to the Dark Triad! You can't tell me what to do, dear~" He called, showing his long tongue as it began to slither itself close to her figure, adding discomfort and surprise to her.

Slapping the tongue away, clearly in unease. "Weirdo! Stay back! You disgust me!"

"HEHEHE!!"

His tongue went and continued its way closer. As dramatic as it sounds, she was holding her breath while leaning by the wall in hopes to avoid any of the movements of his tongue.

However, right before it came, the door near outside yeeted opened by another man with a similar outfit as the disciples. "Oi, Rob, get your ass out here. We're heading out."

Robero's tongue retracted by the sudden news, excited to the point he lost interest in the girl who cowers by the cell wall. Never had she been glad of a disciple visiting her.

"Out? Am I going with Lady Vanica??!" He jumped, running like a pig as the floor thudded with his every step. The other disciple rolled his eyes, annoyed.

"Yes. WE are. Don't you dare forget that we're sharing her, you foul pig." They walked out of the door, not paying any mind to the frantic girl who nearly died on the spot from being utterly horrified.

She falls on the floor as the door shuts close, thumps and thuds of the large disciple probably close by the dungeons she was held captive of. She has been here for quite a while. Being kidnapped by a certain someone on her trip to spy on the Diamonds.

It was months ago. Specifically nine months ago, since she stayed in this underground cell. It's dark and cold, unfortunately, due to the cold winter climate outside of the kingdom. She was left here to rot possibly, but she didn't quite know why she was here in the first place.

What was it for?

To get rid of the evidence? To be taken hostage?

She wasn't sure at all. She just appeared out of nowhere at the very most wrong time, got saved, and stayed in debt. She had no possible connection that she could think of. She was, after all, someone from the Heart Kingdom. But she wasn't sure if any of these mindless fucks knew of that.

Somehow they even stopped information about her from getting spread throughout the castle. Well, maybe? Again, she has never been outside of this place, as well as she has seen no one except those faces all over again.

Who took this spy, really?

It was none other than—

"(y/n)." Someone called her name, outside her thoughts and snapped her out. She blinked, looking up to see none other than the man who captured her from her mission, outside the bars.

"Oh, you." She sighed, curling once more against the wall with her hand clutched by her arms as it crossed by her knees; her chin against it while she looked away from the man.

This person she was scared of has always appeared out of nowhere like this. Perks to his magic. He was none other than Zenon Zogratis.

His soft chuckle let out and struck some nerves by her body. All for both smooth and calmed, as well as inaudible fright and fear. "What do you mean 'you'? Don't forget your place."

"I took you in. Kept you safe and hid you from those pesky Diamonds. You've fully pledged as mine." He looked down at her, a small smirk played by his lips.

"I saved you. Now, this is what you get in return."

He leaned away from the bars, opening it up which released the magic that sucked her dry, not too dry, as she was still alive and well.

He got into the cell, taking cuffs to hold back her usage of magic. "You'll be moved to a different 'cell'. I don't want you dying from the freezing temperatures."

Cuffing her wrists, she huffed in annoyance, "Hn. I would rather be in this cold cell rather than being cuffed..." She mumbled. The male heard it but he didn't care.

Pushing her into a spacial magic, taking her into a warm room that envelopes calming atmospheric gestures. Sighing as her hands were grasped by the man who kidnapped her/saved her. It was relishing and nice to see a brand new thing other than the rocky walls.

"Stay here. Don't tell anyone, and I mean ANYONE that you're here. This is the only place where little to no one goes to. And don't you even dare try to escape. I'll find you, just so you know." He spoke, threatening her as she responded with a sigh, knowing clearly that she couldn't escape the enemy's den.

"Yeah..." She replied, sitting by the soft seat, not being able to move as sharp bones began to wrap themselves up by her legs, not enabling her from moving or standing. She is stuck here till he gets back...

He saw the look of exhaustion by her eyes, softening the cold ones he owned.

"I won't be out for too long. Wait for me." He patted her head, going away into the portal, leaving her stuck in her seat, and unable to move as the bones stopped her from doing so.

"Well, he's gone. That's a bonus." She talked to herself, getting comfortable on the extremely expensive furniture and the well-decorated room.

"But what am I supposed to do here...?"

Watching the snowfall outside as well as hearing the soft thuds, she grew and lulled herself to slumber. She pondered and waited, taking a nap once in a while, hoping to get her boredom in check before it kills her internally.

Dreaming once in a while. She wondered if the queen noticed her disappearance. She wondered about the lightning guardian of the Heart, it has been quite a while. Maybe even too long. She felt useless knowing that her presence here could be a burden to the kingdom she serves.

Shallow memories where she laughed happily along with the other spirit guardians, getting along and well with them before her time to spy on the Diamonds.

────────────────────────────────

Running her fingers through her strands of hair, she sighed in fatigue. The far heavy region where mana is unstable hovered, nearly flinging her on air. She held her cloak, taking steps through steps with her mana cloak as her invisible shield.

It didn't do quite much, although it did keep her safe. The shield may waver once at a time, her magic isn't much suitable for this task. But since she was trusted by the queen, she complied and headed there in search of those sole men of Diamonds.

It took her days to get there. Hiding her presence by her magic, she hid along through the crowds of the people in Diamonds, blending in as she tried to get into the Capital to see how the Diamond's were doing. Maybe in there, people shall seek protection as soon as they hear of the Spade's initiating a war towards other kingdoms.

Looking up to the burrows of the lane of Diamonds, she endearingly sighed in the need of water. Her lack of water supply shuddered as she stared hard in it as if water could appear out of nowhere.

"Come on... There should be water somewhere..." She sighed.

It was a huge disadvantage knowing that this kingdom has little to no resources. This is exactly why they tend to invade other kingdoms. But they have taken a liking to 'visit' Clover as it is the closest to their border and it has low protection in the Boonie areas.

Anyways, she has been walking her way through the suburbs, where rocky lanes appear to crowd the nothingness. It was inhabitable, seen by the lack of water and trees around.

Not only that, it is dangerous around there for people like her.

"Hey, girlie!!" A voice appeared behind her, frightening her which she jolts in respond. Hoping to let herself drift from the male that could probably danger her life, she barricaded herself in tree vines.

"Oi, Oi. Why aren't you feisty!!"

Those tree vines were pierced past through; branches of metals wrapped themselves around her, clutching her into a tight embrace, enabling her movements. She yelped, losing her consciousness by the tight hold as well as the thirst for water creeping by her head, light-headed.

"Not so tough, aren't ya, sweetheart?" A horde of laughter came from a dozen of men with grimoires in hand. Seeming like a criminal, she winced as her eyes squinted. Her mana beginning to deplete as it was sucked by the metals.

A man whistled, nudging their buddy playfully. "Well, isn't she lovely?" She scanned through the crowds and formed a plan to escape; she tried her best, although yet her thirst still was a problem.

"Totally! I wonder if the king or higher-ups would want her. I think she could pull up good rewards!" A man with ungodly messy hair jumped in glee. A man with dark bags continued on with a single smirk.

"I would like to see that ankle broken."

Terrified, she moved along with her plan, taking a whole lot of risk of losing her mana supply. She only got a few seconds. "Creeps!" Waved of tree vines appeared behind the crowd, crawling and in hopes to steal back the mana storage she owns. "Vine magic: Thief."

Although, with her limited mana and being utterly light-headed, her vision darkened as spots or black appeared. She froze still, falling down from the grasp of metal with her eyes wide. The man spat, "You think that'll work? How stupid are you?!"

"Why don't you sit still and look pretty as a whore from the higher-ups? I'm sure many would want your place by now, bitch."

"She's ungrateful. Just sell her off to the cheap ones. They'll accept her as soon as possible."

"I want a whole lotta money from this one. I got a good sense of luck that someone from the royals would want her."

"Pathetic. Whatever, let's just go back to the capitals and get that cash ASAP."

Her eyes went droopy, exhaustion and fatigue pooling her whole course body as it lost more mana than it was supposed to be. The burning sensation in her throat was fiery and craving for the cooling refreshing water to slide past. With that, she blacked out.

Unbeknown, the dozen of criminals were heard all one and another by a male nearby. He leaned back on the stoned cave, exhaling. "Slavery, huh? Such petty move."

'Vine magic should have a connection to World Tree Magic... Guess I'll take her.' He thought, smirking as the eyes were glowing as the noble gas, Xenon's blue headlights.

Appearing mid-air, flying, fast speed white ivory calcium pierced past the body as if they were livestock by a butcher. As fast and troublesome it could be, a bone rapier coiled past his hand, slashing men at the speed of sound. Falling one by one, no one knew that they died as they died painfully and in speed.

The metal wrapped around her came off in a single slash of the made-up sword. "I can't believe I wasted my time for you. Filthy human."

Smiling evilly, he spoke while carrying her in rattles of bones. "You're mine now. I'm sure you're going to be useful for my observation."

And later then, she woke up to nothing but her new home, the awfully cold cell she was introduced to by the male she recognized as the Dark Triad. What she didn't know of was that single man single-handedly fought and wiped out the Capital.

And that three Clover Mages saw her being carried through the whole thing.

────────────────────────────────

"Gadjah-san... Loropechka-sama... I hope things are going fine there." She closed her eyes, mumbling beneath her breath. It has been months since her return. Loropechka's time was near to none — it was harsh knowing the reality as it seems.

She herself couldn't see the queen, who is her friend, and protect her before the time comes. She just wished that she could be out of this captive jail shit. "I hope everything is doing fine there..."

Falling into a deep slumber once more, she was left breathing softly against the cushions with her shackled wrists and her bounded legs.

.

.

Soft thuds of footsteps went vibration down the granite floor, appearing out of nowhere silently. The shoes of a man hummed and clacked softly as he glinted his eyes across the door towards the room he was preparing himself for.

"This should be it."

The heavy doors opened softly and gently as shadows pushed past though it incoherently. Ready to salvage the information and papers within as he took the perfect chance to sneak into the enemy's castle.

Although something surprised him as he opened through the doors. There he saw a female sitting asleep with her wrists shackled and her legs trapped into one of the seats there was. shocked to see someone asleep. bones.

"Wake up."

"Woah—!" She snapped awake, startled. Before she let out a shriek of the shout, a warm hand clasped them the way by her mouth. Blinking the sleep away, her eyes snapped wide to see peculiar blue eyes as the shade of cerulean sky.

His black bangs covering his forehead; the hood over the male's pale skin in a sense of white marble, she felt enraptured by this stranger. It seemed to be that he isn't anywhere from here.

"Shush. Don't get nosy here." He placed his forefinger to indicate to stay shut, while his other hand remains by her mouth. His soft silk voice cornered her mind into thinking he was not 'bad'.

She nodded, letting his hand away from her mouth which he anxiously pulled away in suspicion and sceptic. The hooded man's eyes still stayed distrust, asking as if wary. "Who are you?"

"Who are you?"

Acting back with the walls of questions, the man sighed in solstice as it seemed impossible to see an ally of Spade getting wrapped up in bones most particularly. "A spy."

"And you?"

Sighing in relief, her thoughts were right all along. There is hope in escaping. She replied, "A mage... from the Hearts..."

"Heart Kingdom? Why are you here out of all places? The office, particularly."

The male's questions were done for as the female pleaded in for release. Getting wrapped up in these tight bones are painful and can't be ignored. Whenever she moves, it just keeps getting tighter.

"Please, get me out of here... I am so tired of this shit. I can't feel my legs."

"How can I be sure that you aren't the enemy?" The male's eyes glinted ferociously, scanning any certain of lies that could be visible.

It was obvious someone would get cautious in this state of place and situation. After all, they are both in the evilest man of Spade's office. It would be almost certain that the two are neither allies from the foe of their kingdom. But he remained cautious and bordered up to the fact that suspicion was still the way to keep his secret safe.

"If I were the enemy, shouldn't I be free from these mana-sucking chains? These bones are clawing my skin. Besides, knowing the logo on the pouch you own, you are most likely from the Clovers. By now, Loropechka should have made an agreement with them..." She responded, sighing as she weakened. The male she now calls ally lets out a sigh of relief, noticing as the bones begin to wrap themselves around her legs like a tree wrapped in thorns and ferns.

Her eyes sold it all; she really truly did want to escape. "Trust me. I am not your foe."

"How long have you been here?"

"Months. I lost track."

He sighs, "I don't know much of you. I'm afraid I can't do much myself."

The door swung open unexpectedly, surprising her in advance. She looked to see someone she clearly doesn't know of or has even seen by the door to this large, luxurious room. A man with the solemnly known uniforms of the Spade's 'servants'. They all scattered around the castle — at least, based on what he knows.

"Who are you? Why are you in Dante-sama's office!!" The man shouted over to the two, holding out his grimoire, ready to attack the two unfamiliar people that are inside his leader's office.

Realizing, the man of Spade went forward with a death stare, looking over to the male with a hood on. "So, you're the said spy..." Turning to the other seemingly famished female who has bones wrapped around her lower limb while she sat on the most superior seat of where Lord Zenon usually seats. "And you—!"

The Clover spy dissipates in thin air, alarming the guard. As the guard was about to go over to the female who sat by the seat with fear trained by her eyes, fingers tainted themselves by his legs, pulling into nothingness. Her eyes widened, finding out the male's powers and magics that is utterly useful and powerful in many different ways.

(im sorry i just love his fingers so much—😩💔)

He appeared back, the shadows not leaving any provision of proof of the man's body. The hooded man continued, "That tells a lot about your current situation."

"But as I said before, I am afraid that I can't save you now."

She immediately came to stop his movements, pleading, "Wait, don't go! Please!"

"If you're gone, they'll know. Those bones were made by none other than one of the Dark Triad's. You're valuable in their eyes." He warned, backing up his true intentions of not getting exposed to anyone.

Tears pricked by the edge of her eyes, "Please! I can't stand being here!"

Flaunt, he knew she must've suffered mentally and physically under the roof of this hellish devil worshipper. But he couldn't do much but to reassure that he'll return.

Cupping her cheeks, he smiles sympathetically. "I need you to understand... I get that you want to escape. But you're in a very tight situation. Those three are away from Spade, this is the lowest time for the kingdom. But if you're kept this way, Lord knows what they'll do when they find out that you're gone."

She knew he was right. But she wants all it takes to leave this place and head over to the war that should erupt in her very own kingdom. Therefore, she remains silent. "..."

"Look at me."

Her eyes went straight up to see his, glowing in for instance as comfort and unknown memories that relished back. It gave her a sense of reassurance. "I'll come back to save you."

"Give it four days. I need you to be patient with me. I'll check up on you and ensure your safety."

"..."

"I'll get going." He pulled away, smiling. Turning away, he went and began to stride away to the dark nothingness.

"Wait, who are you!?"

"Nacht."

"Nacht... Thank you..."

Disappearing in thin air, he roamed back in the cold shadows. As he slid along with the proof of papers from the desk he saw.

He sighed and took off his hood. Sensing his master's stress regimen, a small black creature glimpsed by the shoulder of the male. "Ne, Nacht-sama. You seemed so close to her. Why is that?"

Shaking his head off, "No matter."

For the fact that he realized who she was, he was utterly stuck in his heart. She was the female that roamed through his mind for past reasons. It made sense now why she was so familiar.

But for sure, he'll be her saviour from that death trap.
