arabella and bellamy walked outside hearing shouts from the grounders.

"jus drein, jus daun." the grounders chanted, arabella had learnt from lincoln that it meant 'blood must have blood'.

"they're definitely pissed." arabella muttered to bellamy as they walked side by side, guns in hand.

"they're trying to scare us." bellamy called out, glancing back at abby and clarke.

abby walked past arabella and bellamy a few moments later, the two following after her with clarke at their side. they followed her to the gate.

"open the gate." abby ordered the guards.

the gate opened and abby faced the two grounders on their horses. "where's the boy?" one of them asked.

"we're not giving him up." abby replied, her voice hard. "we're ready to fight, if that's what it comes to."

the two grounders said nothing as they turned their horses around and headed back to their army.

"well, at least i got to love someone before i die." arabella muttered to herself, glancing up at bellamy.

"watch the woods!" bellamy yelled. "watch for movement!"

everyone raised their guns, looking out into the woods.

"ella. bellamy." clarke spoke, gesturing to the outskirts of the woods.

"movement in the treeline!" someone yelled.

"don't shoot!" the familiar voice spoke, coming out from behind some dead tree logs. "don't shoot!" he said again.

arabella let out a breath when she saw the figure heading towards them. it was her father. "oh, my god." her whispered, her voice breaking.

marcus kane walked up to the camp, everyone around them had gone silent. bellamy and clarke were staring at arabella, seeing what she would do.

arabella's mind was running a million miles an hour and she did something she never thought she would do, she ran to her father, crushing him with a hug. marcus seemed surprised at first but his arms wrapped around his daughter, holding her tightly.

"you're okay?" marcus asked arabella. "you're really okay?"

the girl nodded. "i'm okay." she whispered, pulling away from her father with a grin.

marcus looked down at arabella, his grin matching hers. "come on." he said to her, his hand on her shoulder as they walked over to abby.

arabella looked past the woman and at bellamy, who was already looking at her with a smile.

"marcus." abby spoke.

"chancellor." marcus nodded.

"i was afraid that i wouldn't see you again." abby sent him a small smile.

"i had those fears myself." marcus replied, looking down at arabella, before gesturing to camp jaha. "it's good to see this place again."

bellamy and clarke walked over to the three. "can't be out in the open." bellamy told them. "we need to get somewhere safe."

marcus smirked for a second, letting out a laugh. "it's safe for the moment."

arabella glanced up at her dad in confusion as the three started walking back into the camp. "come on. we need to talk. i managed to buy us a bit of time."

"all right, close it up! let's go!" one of the guards yelled.

arabella stayed back with bellamy and clarke, watching as her dad and abby walked inside.

"what the fuck?" arabella muttered, in shock with the whole situation. "seriously, what the fuck?"

...

arabella, bellamy and raven waited outside where abby and kane were talking. abby rushed out.

"what's happening?" raven asked, following after abby.

"you were in there a long time. not arresting any more former chancellors are you, abby?" arabella joked, her smile falling seeing that abby didn't look too impressed.

"there was a lot to talk about." abby responded to arabella's first question.

"well, what's going on?" raven asked, still concerned for finn.

"there was a lot to talk about." abby repeated again, stopping when raven stood in front of her.

"hey. we are not turning him over to the grounders." bellamy said to the woman, standing next to arabella.

"step aside now. all three of you." abby ordered. "we're all trying to find a way out of this." she took another glance at arabella before walking away.

"god, she's a bitch." arabella mumbled, shaking her head.

...

bellamy dragged arabella along to find finn and clarke.

"finn." bellamy called out, walking over to finn and clarke. "we need to get him out of here."

"where would he go?" clarke questioned.

"the dropship." bellamy told them.

"yay." arabella cheered sarcastically.

the four began walking, but clarke tried to stop finn. "no! you know that this is the safest place for him right now."

"it isn't if they're turning on him." bellamy told clarke. "we can protect him at the dropship."

"technically, we don't know that yet. bell just likes jumping to conclusions." arabella added on, earning a look from bellamy.

as they walked past, people moved away from finn, if looks could kill, finn would've been dead long ago.

"grab your gear and meet at raven's gate in five." bellamy ordered. "she's already working on cutting the power to the fence."

"okay, but nobody's coming with me." finn stopped walking.

bellamy turned to finn. "that isn't up for discussion."

"we are surrounded by grounders." clarke told him, making a fair point.

"if we split up, we take the low ground, we'll make it through." bellamy said, solving their problem. "we'll meet at the dropship."

arabella ran her hand over her face and let out a sigh. "i don't-"

her words were cut short when a man came over to them. "there he is. you are gonna get us killed." the man yelled. he rose his weapon, swinging for finn, bellamy almost shoved arabella out the way and slammed his gun into the man's abdomen.

"anyone else?" bellamy said gruffly.

arabella almost smirked at the sight of him, it was definitely the wrong time to be having inappropriate thoughts about him.

"bellamy's right. we have to go." clarke told finn. "we'll meet you both there." she told arabella, who nodded in response.

clarke and finn rushed off, leaving just arabella and bellamy and a few residents of the ark. she took his hand and the two walked away.

"i always like when you're mad." arabella grinned up at him.

bellamy sent her a side glance, hiding his smirk. "shut up." he chuckled.

...

arabella, bellamy and raven had made it to the dropship safe and sound but they had not yet seen clarke and finn, which was weird considering the two left first.

raven came back into the dropship. "i checked again. still no sign of them."

arabella ran her hands over her face and groaned. "incredible."

"where are they?" bellamy asked, mostly to himself.

"we shouldn't have split up." raven looked at the two ex leaders, shaking her head.

the three heard a sound from outside, arabella and bellamy instantly rose their guns. "someone's coming." he spoke.

they aimed their guns at the figure and arabella rolled her eyes when she saw murphy walk into the dropship.

"ooh, hey, hey, hey." murphy threw his hands up in defence.

"murphy." bellamy spoke in surprise, glancing at arabella and raven.

raven pulled down arabella and bellamy's guns.

"what are you doing here?" arabella asked, her voice laced with annoyance.

"i believe i was invited." murphy said, gesturing to raven.

"thought we could use and extra gun." she spoke.

"might be a good idea." bellamy glanced at arabella, who had her eyes narrowed at murphy.

"finn should've been right behind you." raven stated.

"don't worry. the spacewalker's gonna be fine." murphy replied, his voice dull.

bellamy pulled arabella off to the side. "you know you don't have to look at him like you wanna kill him right?" he asked her.

arabella's eyes narrowed. "maybe i do." she shrugged. "who knows?" she sent bellamy a tight lipped smile.

"i thought you wanted to forgive him?"

"yeah, it doesn't mean i actually have to." arabella said in a hushed whisper. "he's a dick."

"he's your best friend."

"was. he was my best friend. and why are you trying to push this so hard anyway? you do realise he was literally in love with me, right?" arabella argued, her arms crossed over her chest.

"alright, yeah. fair point. but how about we keep the death stares to a minimum, just for today?" bellamy stepped closer, his hands holding her face.

arabella looked up at him with an eye roll. "okay. fine."

a while later, finn rushed into the dropship with clarke in his arms.

"clarke?" arabella ran over to the two, bellamy right behind her. "what the hell happened?" she asked angrily.

"a grounder hit her on the head." finn replied.

murphy laid out a blanket. "put her here." he told finn.

finn placed clarke down gently.

"i need a bandage. a rag. anything!" arabella ordered, moving the hair from clarke's face.

"i got it." murphy said, rushing over with a rag in his hand. "here."

arabella snatched the fabric from his hand and placed it under clarke's head. "hold her head." she said to bellamy. "clarke? can you hear me, blondie?" she asked.

clarke let out a quiet groan as she started to slowly wake up. "clarke?" arabella whispered softly to her friend, the blonde girl groaned again.

"you're gonna be fine. you just need to rest." bellamy told her.

arabella, bellamy and murphy tended to clarke while raven and finn spoke, but not even a minute later the boy had stormed out of the drop ship, raven following after him.

...

after a while, and an argument, arabella finally agreed to let raven take over on looking after clarke. the girl stood out front of the drop ship, looking around for any grounders that may have followed.

she tightly held her gun, then she saw something run past the trees. "grounders!" she yelled.

"we got company! get out here!" bellamy yelled to inside the drop ship.

clarke and finn rushed out the drop ship.

"get down, now. grounders." arabella ordered, crouching next to bellamy, her gun raised into the tree line.

grounders were everywhere, arabella nervously glanced at bellamy. "we're surrounded."

the group ran back inside the drop ship. arabella and bellamy peaked through the parachute fabric covering the drop ship's entrance.

"they're not moving any closer." arabella said as she saw the grounders still circling the old camp.

"staying out of range." bellamy told her, walking back into the drop ship. "probably waiting until it's dark."

murphy came over to them. "if we hit them now, at least we'd take them by surprise."

"we don't even know how many of them are out there." clarke gestured outside.

arabella shrugged. "a lot."

"i'm not hearing any better ideas, clarke." murphy told the blonde girl.

"we'll give them something." raven spoke up, pacing in circles.

"all they want is finn." bellamy told her.

"finn wasn't the only one at the village." raven pointed out.

"what are you talking about?" arabella asked as she glanced at murphy.

"raven, hold on." bellamy stepped forward.

"whoa, whoa, whoa." murphy spoke up. "raven, i came here to protect him. you were the one who wanted me to come. you-" murphy abruptly stopped speaking, he was silent for a moment, until he smirked. "that's why you asked me to come along."

"enough grounders saw him at the village. they'd believe he was the shooter."

"raven, come on." arabella spoke, her voice full of disbelief.

"sick bitch." murphy snarled.

"raven, you don't mean this." clarke said softly, her voice trying to calm raven down.

"you know what they do to people." bellamy added on, his voice raised.

"they want a murderer, we'll give them one." raven raised her gun to murphy, clocking it. "drop your gun."

arabella shook her head and hesitated for a moment before standing in front of murphy protectively. she rose her gun at raven. "you are not doing this, raven." arabella shook her head.

"arabella, you hate him!" she yelled.

"finn killed the grounders, not him!" arabella argued back. "this is on finn, so stop acting as if he's god's fucking angel. back the fuck down, raven, i won't say it again."

"put the gun down, raven." clarke said to the girl. "like it or not, he's one of us."

"move out the way, arabella!" raven  snapped.

arabella narrowed her eyes at the girl, stepping forward so the gun was aimed at her chest. "back. the. fuck. down."

"arabella." bellamy warned, truth be told, he had no idea if arabella would kill raven for murphy.

"stop! stop!" finn shouted, pulling the gun away from raven, now standing in front of arabella.

arabella lowered her gun, a deadly look on her face.

"we're not doing this." finn shook his head. "you two are friends." he looked between arabella and raven. "they've got us surrounded. the only thing we can do is stay, and defend this place."

"i'm with you." bellamy declared, his gaze landing on arabella, who was almost shaking.

"murphy." arabella turned around to face the boy.

"yeah?" he replied.

"go upstairs. watch the rear." she told him, then turned to finn. "you watch the lower level. us four will take the front gate." she gestured between herself, bellamy, clarke and raven. they all looked between each other. "that's the plan, i'm not changing my mind." arabella said, her voice loud and demanding.

everyone nodded, murphy walked over to the ladder and climbed up it. arabella and bellamy left the drop ship.

"i wasn't gonna shoot raven, by the way." arabella looked up at bellamy.

"i know." he nodded at her, his eyes softening at the look on her face.
