arabella and bellamy had made their way back into the room where the main radio was, attempting to come up with a plan.

"it's a stupid idea." arabella argued.

bellamy let out a sigh, tilting his head back in annoyance. "maya can get me the armor the guards use, so then i can blend in more."

"with like ten other guards, bellamy." she threw her arms in the air in frustration.

bellamy stepped closer, his hands holding arabella's arms. "i've got this, okay?" he told her softly. "i just need a minute to speak to jasper, that's it."

"it's dangerous." the girl sighed, her hand reaching to the side of his face.

bellamy softly kissed her palm. "dangerous is my middle name." he sent her a playful smile.

"god, you're so cheesy." arabella let out a soft laugh, shaking her head at him.

bellamy shrugged, a smile on his lips. "i'll be okay." he leaned down, pressing a kiss to the top of arabella's head before pulling her into a hug. "i love you, arabella kane."

she wrapped her arms around him, tightening them at his words. "i love you too, bellamy dangerous blake." the girl let out another laugh.

...

arabella waited patiently for bellamy to come back, he had only been gone for about thirty minutes but she was scared something had happened. then, she heard footsteps coming from the entrance of the room, arabella quickly stood up, letting out a sigh of relief when bellamy turned the corner.

"you took your time." she huffed out, pulling him into a hug.

the man hugged her back. "i know, i'm sorry." he said. "i'm gonna go find dante-"

"ah, no you aren't." arabella interrupted. "that man may seem all nice and sweet but he wouldn't let me and clarke leave."

"jasper told me he's on our side." bellamy informed her.

arabella shrugged. "i don't believe it."

"i saw maya on my way back, she said they've got him in one of the quarantine rooms, where you woke up."

arabella pursed her lips. "i'll follow you through the vents, keep an eye on you. i memorised the blueprints whilst you were gone, plus i remember my room had a small air ventilation grate, so i'll be able to see and hear you."

"i don't know, bella." bellamy was unsure on the idea.

"bell, come on. it'll be fine."

bellamy was in thought for a moment. "alright, fine."

arabella smiled, she was always able to convince him. "i guess i'll see you soon then." she said, grabbing her radio and climbing into the vent.

...

arabella had soon made it to the quarantine room where dante was being held, being able to peer through the small air vent to see who was in the room was a huge help.

bellamy had also used the vents but had headed in a different direction to her.

she waited for a while until dante's door opened, revealing bellamy with a tray of food in his hand.

"your evening meal, president wallace." bellamy told the man.

the two looked at each other for a moment, before dante stepped forward, making bellamy's hand hover over his gun. but, dante went to turn up the music on his record player.

bellamy walked forward to the bedside table, glancing at the small air vent arabella had spoken about. the girl smiled, knowing he couldn't see her. the man placed dante's food on the table.

"who are you?" dante asked.

"jasper sent me." bellamy replied gruffly. "we need your help. your son is killing my friends."

"i'm a prisoner, same as them." dante simply told him.

"a prisoner who knows every inch of this mountain." bellamy turned around and walked over to dante. "every security measure." he put his back to the security camera.

"who is helping you?" dante questioned, stepping closer to bellamy.

arabella watched nervously, she was getting warm in the cramped space and was hoping this conversation would speed up a little.

"that's not important right now." bellamy replied.

"after clarke and arabella escaped..." dante began, making arabella roll her eyes. "i had all exits fortified and put under extra surveillance. my son has no doubt changed all access and entrance codes by now. your friends will never even make it off level five."

bellamy's eyes flickered to the vent. "i won't let them die here."

dante shook his head. "i'm sorry. i can't help them escape."

bellamy picked up the tray and began heading towards the door, making arabella sigh.

"but i may be able to buy them some time." dante spoke up.

...

arabella and bellamy had met back up in the vents and were pulling themselves out onto a ladder.

"what do you see?" raven asked.

"close your eyes. imagine a bottomless pit." he replied, moving up the ladder slightly so arabella could climb on.

"just stick with it. according to dante's coordinates, you're almost there."

"what's happening on your end?" arabella asked, looking below her to see pure darkness. "did they evacuate tondc?"

"don't know yet, but it's clarke. she'll get it done." raven answered. "both of you just concentrate on squeezing your asses through that vent and bellamy, stop worrying about your sister, and arabella stop worrying about your dad."

the couple paused, there was a moment of silence. "octavia's in tondc?" bellamy asked in confusion. "she's there?"

"raven." arabella's voice was in a warning tone.

"she's gonna be okay." raven finally answered. "clarke fired out of here. she's gonna get there on time."

"how could you keep this from me?" bellamy asked, his voice full of hurt.

"clarke was trying to protect you... both of you. listen, you both still have a job to do, i know you're worried about octavia, but you have got to focus."

bellamy was silent for a moment, then he started moving up the ladder again. "let's just get this done."

...

raven had told arabella and bellamy how to let radiation onto level five. that was the plan. kill anyone who was mount weather on level five.

"you got to pull the outside air in to reverse the air filtration system." raven told them.

bellamy was pulling out random wires. "just tell me how we know if it's even working."

"they'll probably set off an alarm." arabella told him, and then right on cue, the p.a. voice spoke.

"containment breach."

"i'd say it's working." raven said through the radio, arabella could almost see the smile on her face.

"thank you, mr president." bellamy spoke, sending a smile to arabella who replied with a wink.

"i hope someone got me a gun." arabella told him.

...

arabella and maya hid behind the corner as bellamy rushed into the medical room where the bone marrow treatments had been taking place. fox tried to make a run for it when bellamy held up a gun at her.

the young girl raised her hands quickly.

"thanks." one of the guards breathed out, before bellamy shot him and the other guard in the chest.

arabella then rushed around the corner, seeing the guards on the floor.

"arabella?" fox cried out, running into the older girls arms.

"hey, we've got you." arabella's hand ran over the girls hair. "you're gonna be okay." she said as fox cried into the girls shoulder.

bellamy pulled off his helmet, glancing at the guards before grabbing one of their guns. fox pulled away and then hugged bellamy, still crying.

arabella took the gun from bellamy, putting it in the waistband of her jeans. maya walked into the room looking at the two dead guards.

"come on. we have to get her someplace safe." the girl said.

the two nodded and guided fox out of the room, bellamy closing the door behind them.

they soon arrived at maya and her father's room. the older man was asleep on the couch, but quickly shot up at the sound of the door opening.

"dad, you're home." maya said nervously.

"yeah." the man began to slowly sit up as maya walked further into the room, arabella, bellamy and fox behind her. "the drill bit broke again."

bellamy shut the door behind them, but when maya's father saw them he immediately shot up off the couch, making arabella and bellamy reach for their guns.

"what are they doing here?" he asked maya.

"look. they're in trouble. we just need someplace safe to stay." maya quickly replied.

"they need to go now." her father told her.

"let me explain."

"how about you explain where he got that uniform from?" the man glanced at bellamy. "maya, you know how dangerous this is. what are you doing?"

"what mom would've done." maya replied.

her father shook his head, turning to the three. "i need you to leave."

"unfortunately, we can't do that." arabella spoke up, her hand still hovering over her gun.

maya noticed arabella's hand. "that's okay. he's gonna help us."

"really?" bellamy questioned. "because i'm not really getting that."

"my parents were part of a movement that was against using outsider blood." maya explained before looking back at her father. "my mom refused treatments, and it killed her. she was willing to die for what she believed in."

arabella and bellamy exchanged a glance.

"maya, you were five." her dad said softly. "i couldn't leave you alone."

"i'm not a little girl anymore." she replied quietly.

"they were willing to kill you before. if you get caught-"

"we won't if you help us." maya interrupted.

"please." fox chimed in. "they're killing us. we don't have anywhere else to go."

the man let out a sigh. "just this once, just for the night." he caved in.

maya smiled before turning to fox, taking her down the hallway. "my room is this way."

arabella and bellamy began to follow after them.

"thank you." bellamy said to the man, but maya's father stopped him.

"you know they'll never stop, right?" he asked, looking between the couple. "if the rumours are true and your bone marrow can get us back to the ground, they'll never stop."

the two said nothing as they walked to maya's room.

"do you want me to clean those cuts up?" maya asked arabella.

the girl looked down at her arms, bandages still almost covering them. "uh... yeah, thank you, maya." arabella sent her a small smile.

not long after, bellamy and maya had left her home so they could get weapons to their friends. arabella sat on maya's bed next to fox.

"thank you, for saving me." fox said softly. "i knew it would be you and bellamy."

arabella let out a soft laugh. "you don't have to thank me, fox. i couldn't sit and let you guys die."

fox sent her a warm smile. "so how's clarke?"

"well, she's clarke, obviously." arabella smiled. "the ark have set up a pretty awesome camp, named it camp jaha, but i don't think i'll be calling it that."

fox let out a laugh. "yeah, me neither."

"i can't wait for you all to see it. i can't wait to be home again."

...

maya's father had rushed into her room. "bellamy said maya's in trouble. she got caught and they're using her to make your friends surrender."

arabella's eyes widened, she turned to fox. "we will be back soon, okay? i promise i'll come back."

fox nodded rapidly, handing arabella her hat and gun.

vincent and arabella headed down to where bellamy and maya supposedly were going to end up. "bellamy's gone through the trash chute to get her, they should be down here." he told her.

they quickly opened the door and a corner to see bellamy, maya, and jasper.

"dad." maya breathed out. "what are you doing here?" she asked.

vincent walked over to maya. "what your mother would have done. come here." he said before pulling her into a hug.

arabella rushed over to jasper, pulling him into a hug. "you don't hate me?" the boy asked.

she pulled away, with a smile. "maybe sleep with one eye open when we get home." arabella sent him a playful wink before turning to bellamy and then pulling him into a hug.

he kissed the top of her head. "you okay?" he asked.

arabella nodded into his chest before looking up at him. "i am now." she pulled away and stood in front of bellamy.

"hey, listen to me." bellamy spoke to jasper. "clarke is coming with an army of grounders."

"what?" jasper asked in confusion.

"we have to keep all of you safe until then."

a smile appeared on jasper's face. "don't tell me finn finally got his peace talks."

arabella and bellamy looked at each other for a moment.

"something like that." bellamy said before arabella could say anything. "come on. we got a lot of work to do."

...

the small group had managed to get all of their friends out of the room they had barricaded themselves in, arabella and bellamy stayed ahead, their guns ready each time they turned a corner.

"clear." arabella called out to the remaining of the hundred, which... wasn't many.

they began walking and jasper spoke. "won't they see us?" he asked.

"relax. maya took out the cameras." bellamy informed him.

"yeah, well, we're still sitting ducks in a group like this." miller chimed in.

"always full of positivity aren't you, miller?" arabella grinned at the boy. "we're gonna split up."

monty grabbed arabella's shoulder, making her stop. "no. we do this together. we survive together."

"arabella's right." jasper looked at the girl.

"well, they don't trust maya anymore." miller looked at them in confusion. "who the hell is gonna help us now?"

arabella and bellamy exchanged a small smirk, nodding their head around the corner, and when they turned that corner, they were greeted by some of the mount weather residents.

"they are." bellamy said, placing his hand on arabella's shoulder.

maya walked towards them, people trailing behind her. "we're gonna hide you. not everyone here agrees with cage, not by a long shot."

vincent gestured for the group to come to him. "come with me, we'll divide you along the way, let's go."

the remainder of the hundred walked past arabella, bellamy, jasper and monty.

"it'll be okay." bellamy said to jasper.

"yeah, you've got your parents now." arabella joked, making jasper let out a soft laugh.

"let's go. you're safe now." vincent called out. "quick, quick. go this way. that way. go." he ordered gently.

arabella and bellamy were about to walk away when jasper stopped them. "hey, we're coming with you."

bellamy shook his head. "no, you're not. they still don't know we're here, and we need to keep it that way."

monty looked at jasper, then back at the couple. "so what do we do?" he asked.

"stay alive. be ready to fight." arabella replied, she ran her tongue over her teeth. "war's coming, boys."
