arabella, bellamy, and the other people they were with were all stripped into their underwear, fear quickly crept its way into arabella's head, this was seriously a terrifying situation.

the small group was dragged into what arabella assumed was the quarantine intake area. her eyes were on bellamy as a thick metal chain was clasped around her neck, her eyes filled with panic. 

bellamy felt terrible, he hated himself for letting arabella join him and lincoln. he knew it was a bad idea and he knew it could end in her getting hurt but he let it happen anyway. 

hot water was sprayed harshly at her body, making arabella let out a yell, the water hitting the cuts and gashes on her body. after a moment, a white powder was thrown over her, making the pain even worse than it was before, the girl was now screaming in pain, her eyes squeezed shut as she clenched her hands. 

everything else that happened after was a total blur, her body somehow had become numb to the pain she was enduring. everything was happening in quick flashes, she heard screams, more specifically bellamy's screams, but she couldn't move, she couldn't get to him.

arabella's eyes flickered open, she quickly took in her surroundings. the girl was in a cage. a cage. her body was aching but her wounds had been patched up again, they had been sewn and everything. despite it being mountain men who did it, she was pretty thankful.

she took another look around, seeing two female grounders hanging from their feet, of course, being drained for their blood. her eyes searched around for bellamy and she saw him opposite from her a few cages down.

"bell." she whispered, her voice slightly hoarse. 

arabella saw as his head turned over to her direction. "bella, we need to get out." he said back, before sitting up and attempting to yank on the lock.

other grounders around them were making noise too, shouting and yelling as if the mountain men would come in and say 'oh hey guys, sorry about all this, we're gonna let you out now.'

arabella watched again as bellamy rattled against the cage, annoyingly loud.

...

after a while, bellamy was still trying to break the cage. "bell, you don't have superhuman strength it's not gonna work." arabella called out.

"sky person." someone in the cage next to arabella muttered.

the girl turned her head being faced with a boy, possibly around her age. his face was covered in anger. 

"woah, now. before we start getting all angry, we aren't enemies anymore." she told him calmly. "me and the commander are pretty tight." she nodded.

the boy looked at her weirdly. "what is your friend trying to accomplish?" he asked.

"boyfriend." arabella quickly corrected. "and not much apparently." she said looking over at him again. "our people are trapped here, we are here to get them out."

"well." the boy sighed. "i wish you both luck, sky girl."

her head turned to him again. "it's arabella." she said, a hint of annoyance in her voice. 

he nodded. "alec." 

the girl nodded back in response, her eyes soon landing on bellamy again. she heard a beep coming from the door.

"they're here." alec muttered, slightly straightening up.

arabella watched carefully as two guards headed towards bellamy, but they stopped at the cage before him. 

"yeah. this one will do." one of the guards said, as they began to unlock the cage, bellamy started kicking his cage and shouting.

arabella looked at him in panic as the guard stepped away from the girl's cage and turned to bellamy. "looks like we got us a live one." the guard said before sticking an electric baton through the gaps in the cage, making bellamy let out a yell.

arabella's hand flew to her mouth as the two guards moved to bellamy's cage and began unlocking it. he tried moving forward but the guard shocked him again, bellamy let out another loud groan before the guard injected a needle into his arm, knocking him out cold after a few seconds. 

"fuck, fuck, fuck." arabella whispered to herself, running her hands across her face.

she watched as the two guards dragged bellamy from his cage and began attaching him to the machine that had been draining the grounders of their blood. the motor whirred as he was lifted from his ankles and almost immediately the clear tube filled up with bellamy's blood. 

"oh, my god." arabella whispered as silent tears rolled down her face, she turned to alec with panic on her face. "what do i do?" she asked him.

alec was silent for a moment, as if wheels were turning in his head. "wait till they leave." he said.

arabella watched as the guards chuckled and left the room. "okay, now what?"

alec looked around his cage then into arabella's. "um..."

"alec, 'um' is not a helpful answer." arabella snapped.

the boy tutted, muttering a string of curse words in trigedasleng. a moment later, a young girl walked into the room, she had a timid look on her face and jumped when the door closed behind her. 

arabella looked closer and realised it was maya. "i know her." arabella whispered to alec. "she's friends with someone i came here with... she'll help."

"well, let's hope you were nice to her..." alec muttered.

the girl turned her head to him. "let's hope she has short-term memory loss then." arabella looked back over at maya. "maya." she whispered, hoping she could hear her. 

maya's head spun around to the sound of her name being called. 

"maya!" arabella whispered again, louder this time. "it's arabella."

she saw maya's eyes widen and rush over to the girl's cage. "arabella?" she asked in shock.

"in the flesh." arabella smiled. "you've gotta get me outta here, maya. she the man strung up? that's bellamy." 

maya's eyes widened even more, but the girl nodded, rushing back to find something to break the lock with. maya returned with a small metal rod and jammed it into the lock, trying to break it.

"come on, maya. you can do it." arabella whispered, her voice surprisingly soft. 

maya managed to break the lock and opened up arabella's cage, the brunette girl basically threw herself out of it, using alec's cage to help her stand.

alec looked at her in shock when he saw the cuts and gashes all over her body. 

"curtesy of trikru." she told him with a straight face. speaking of the wounds on her body, they were fucking hurting, some more than others but she didn't have time to be wining. she had to help bellamy. "alec, i promise i will get you out of here when we can make contact with my friends."

"yeah, kinda counting on that, arabella." he replied with a small smile, which arabella returned with a nod, then she faced maya.

"how do we wake him up?" arabella asked, looking over at bellamy.

without a word, maya rushed back over to him and looked around. she picked up an injection of epinephrine. "this will reverse the effects of whatever they injected into him." she said, holding the injection out to arabella. 

"you should do it." she quickly said. "i don't have much medical experience."

maya nodded and injected the epinephrine into bellamy's thigh, a few seconds later bellamy awoke with a gasp.

"oh, thank god." arabella let out a deep breath and knelt down to bellamy. "you are an idiot for doing that." she scolded, running a hand through her hair. "you know, i'm almost tempted to leave you hanging here, but i need you so..." 

"how about getting me down, sweetheart. you can yell at me then." bellamy breathed out.

"maya, give me a hand." arabella told her as she started taking off the heart monitor pads.

arabella and maya froze when they heard the door click open. "oh, shit." she muttered, hiding behind one of the machines.

maya moved away from bellamy and faced the guard. "lovejoy, hey." 

"what are you doing here? you're not cleared for this facility." lovejoy stared at the girl with suspicion.

maya was silent for a moment, her body language displaying anxiety. "i know. i'm sorry." 

arabella and bellamy locked eyes, as though they had formed a plan through just one look.

"i just wanted to see what was so special about him, but...  he's dead." maya informed lovejoy.

arabella heard his footsteps moving closer and hid on the other side of the machine. lovejoy then pressed the button that would lower bellamy down, the motor whirred loudly as bellamy was lowered to the ground.

the motor stopped then lovejoy went to untie bellamy's ankles from the restraints. 

"you're a brave girl coming in here-" lovejoy began to speak before bellamy kicked him in the face. 

arabella took that as her cue to reveal herself. bellamy went to untie his other ankle and arabella went straight for the guard. 

"hey, dude. remember me?" she asked with a smile as she kicked him back to the ground before he could stand up again. 

lovejoy quickly pulled out his gun making arabella take a step back. "don't move! either of you!"

bellamy was still on the ground as lovejoy had his gun aimed at the two. "on your feet. on your feet!"

shockingly, maya rapidly stuck a scalpel into lovejoy's neck making him yell out and drop his gun. arabella immediately rushed to grab the gun and aim it at the man.

"bella, don't they'll hear!" bellamy called out to the girl, distracting her as lovejoy pulled the scalpel from his neck and began swinging it at arabella, slicing her arm.

she let out a yell. "give me a fucking break." she almost yelled as the man charged for bellamy sending a punch to his face and shoving him into one of the cages. bellamy punched lovejoy in the kidney making him double over. but the man quickly straightened up and punched bellamy again.

arabella grabbed another scalpel from the tray and rushed over to bellamy and lovejoy, she brutally pulled the guard's head back and jammed the scalpel into his neck, more than likely hitting his carotid artery. 

lovejoy dropped to the ground, the last thing he saw being a deadly look on arabella's face as she pulled the scalpel out and watched him bleed to death. 

her jaw hardened as she watched him take his last breath. arabella dropped the scalpel and rushed to bellamy. she held his face in her hands. "you okay?" she asked softly.

bellamy looked over at lovejoy, then back at the girl giving her a short nod. "maya, you alright?" bellamy asked.

arabella turned to look at maya, the girl was silently crying, small shakes taking over every so often. she walked over to the girl reaching a hand on her shoulder, maya jumped and looked at arabella. "hey, you okay?"

"i'm fine." maya replied quietly. 

bellamy wiped the blood from his mouth and turned to arabella. "help me get him undressed." arabella nodded in reply.

"i know where we can put his... body." arabella spoke up, her voice quiet.

...

arabella had put lovejoy's body in the end containment area where she, clarke, and anya had been before. she walked out of the room and closed the door, then pressed the button that would send lovejoy's body to the reapers, she saw bellamy and maya looking at her. maya had a small pile of clothes in her hands for arabella to wear. 

"if anyone sees me... it's game over." arabella told them as she took the clothes from maya and put them on, being careful not to touch her wounds. "i'm gonna have to stay in the vents." she sighed. 

bellamy stood next to arabella as the two looked at maya. "you've done enough." he told her. "you should walk away."

"you don't know where you're going, and like arabella said, she can't be seen."

"draw me a map." bellamy replied. 

maya shook her head. "no." she paused. "i'm in." the girl handed bellamy the pistol and lovejoy's keycard. 

bellamy nodded and checked the ammo of the gun. "i need to get to the radio so i can contact clarke. we heard jasper's sos."

"i helped them set that up. i know where it is." 

arabella stood at bellamy's side. "and i guess i will be in the vents..."

"arabella, bellamy... your people are disappearing." maya told them quietly. "two so far- monty and harper. i thought they'd be in here, but..."

"i want to see the others now." bellamy told her.

"the dorm is on the way to the radio."

arabella blinked, taking in the information. "find me a hat on the way. i'm coming with you." she turned to bellamy and saw lovejoy's name tag, she pulled it off and put it in her pocket. his hat was on the floor so she picked it up and handed it to bellamy. 

"roll up your sleeves, both of you." maya said to them.

"tracking chip." bellamy muttered. 

the couple rolled up a sleeve.

"it'll trip alarms once we start moving." maya informed. "we have to take it out."

"go for it." arabella told her. "more scars to the collection i suppose..."

maya nodded and placed the blade on arabella's skin, slowly dragging it deep enough so the chip could be taken out easily. maya then did the same to bellamy and handed them both a small bandage.

"put them in your cages." maya handed the bloody chips to the couple.

they both went to their cages, and arabella made eye contact with alec. 

"you better be true to your promise, sky girl." the boy told her.

"i will if you stop calling me that." she sent him a fake smile as she put the tracker into her cage and closed the door. "goodbye, alec."

"goodbye, arabella."

she sent him a nod and walked to bellamy, who had just finished speaking to a girl in the cage next to his, they both walked to maya.

"take us to our friends."
