I made my way back to the carriage just as Jack was loading up the last suitcase.

"Took you long enough." he joked when he saw me.

I smiled at him but it didn't quite reach my eyes. Jack opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by the sound of heavy boots coming our way. Glancing up, I saw the Wizard and his guards.

"Lady Ev, whatever you wish-" the Wizard started.

"I wish to leave this place forever! Now I will return with all the soldiers of Ev. And we will turn your Emerald City red with blood," Pompous Princess snapped.

"Your call for vengeance is justified. But we are not your enemy. For it is Glinda who claimed your father. And it is Glinda who shoudl feel your wrath. With this!" he said, withdrawing Dorothy's gun from his robes.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. She gave him that? From beside me, I felt Jack's hand grab onto mine protectively.

"Strong enough to kill a witch. Strong enough to kill the beast forever. A demonstration,"

And with that, he aimed the gun at the nuns, shooting one of them in the chest. Everyone screamed out as she fell to the ground dead. My heart pounded in my chest and Jack stepped in front of me.

"Make these guns! And take them to war! A war on magic! For the very soul of Oz!" the Wizard shouted.
