"are you furuya-san's sister?"
"what is furuya-kun's horoscope??"
"please introduce him to us!!"
half of your day consisted of being bombarded with questions and conversations. news of you being furuya's older sister circulated around the school quick. once the baseball club's fangirls found out, it seemed as if everyone acted like you were a source full of information about your brother.
rather than the fact they've been pestering you over your brother, you were more shocked at the fact your brother had fans in the first place. considering his awkward and reserved self, it was quite the new experience.
it's been over a month since your arrival. furuya's fans continued to flock over you viciously. it left you exhausted; trying to escape from their grasps.
it was already bad with miyuki's fangirls flooding the classroom with any chance they got. with the addition of furuya's fangirls constantly trying to get intel from you about him, it caused a headache for both you and your classmates.
after tiresome hours, school had just ended and you were now making your way to the baseball field along with your annoying classmates.
"would you mind telling furuya-kun's fans to leave us all alone?" you huffed at maezono's question, clutching your heart exaggeratingly in an attempt to indicate that you were quite annoyed as well.
"hah?! it's harder than you think. how about you tell them off yourself, maezono-san."
faking a cough, miyuki spoke, "someone seems to be the center of attention lately,"
you turned to miyuki, raising a brow. before you could retort to his statement, both maezono and kuramochi had jeered in an instance.
"are you being serious right now?!" maezono grunts, shaking his head.
"i hate to say this.. but you can't be one to talk, miyuki." kuramochi deadpanned, pointing to a group of girls who were squealing about the said catcher.
miyuki could only chuckle in response, not denying the shortstop's words at all. after all, miyuki was most aware of his fanbase.
"why did i decide to go to practice with you guys." you cried out to yourself.
"hey hey, you've been speaking gibberish this entire time, y/n-chan!" miyuki teased.
irritated by the voice of miyuki, maezono stomps away. abruptly saying, "stop talking for once miyuki!"
"eh?!"
maezono's outburst was a sudden surprise for everyone. making eye contact with kuramochi, you both started laughing hysterically. clinging onto each other, tears starting to form in your eyes.
"i would disintegrate on the spot if someone told me that!"
"hyahaha! you've really outdone yourself this time, miyuki!"
startled, miyuki turned away in embarrassment. "yeah yeah, you two are gonna be late for practice if you keep laughing."
miyuki left the two of you and headed to practice. mumbling incoherently under his breath, only certain foul words targeted to maezono could be made out.
a moment after watching his figure growing smaller, your eyes meet with kuramochi's once again. in response, the both of you cried out laughters once again.

"finally it's break time!" sawamura breathed out, sweating heavily.
haruichi nodded in agreement, a sense of relief washed over his entire body. furuya, with no energy left in his body blankly stared at the two of them.
"the first-years are already out of breath!" isashiki howled out.
the group of third-years who were huddled in their own section, began to talk about the others conditions. amused, they all watched the underclassmen gasping for air.
yuuki thought for a moment before agreeing, "i'm sure they underestimated the summer training."
you walked out the school's cafeteria with a tray full of onigiris. specially prepared by the managers and you, the five of you got done preparing the foods right before break time.
the preparation took longer than expected. haruno had accidentally left the rice cooking for too long and had to start a new batch. the other managers assured her it was fine but you could tell they were barely managing their frustrations.
making sure you wouldn't accidentally spill the tray over, you took small steps out to the field. the last thing you needed was for more trouble.
"time to eat everyone!" takako announced, gaining all the players attention.
"finally!"
"i'm literally starving!"
"stop eating fast or you'll choke, sawamura-san!" you scolded sawamura who swiped two onigiris off your tray in an instant.
the male scarfed down the food without properly taking the time to chew. ignoring your warnings, he soon started choking immediately after. "a-ack! w-water harucchi!"
you stared blankly while watching the younger kominato frantically hand sawamura a cup of water. gulping the drink in one go, sawamura choked out coughs.
"pickled plum filling? not bad. did you make these for me, y/n-chan?" an annoying voice chimed next to you.
miyuki, who stole an onigiri off your tray had already took a bite. "the shape could be better."
you kicked his legs hard, not caring if the catcher was exhausted from training. the moment you stepped foot in seidou, miyuki had his eyes set on you.
and by that, he would constantly tease you endlessly. although this would seem like miyuki's usual antics, the teasings were more frequent around you.
"oi, miyuki-kun! you don't deserve to eat what i made after saying that!" you said, kicking him once more after hearing him yelp out.
"i'm doing you a favor, manager-chan! who else would eat your food?" miyuki mocked, grabbing another onigiri of yours.
it wasn't like you had anything against miyuki. you considered him a good classmate and someone admirable considering his dedication to baseball. but his antics could be overbearing at times for you.
"oi, stop flirting over there you two!" you turned to see kuramochi stalking towards you two.
your eyebrows twitched upon the word "flirting" falling to your ears. miyuki and his idiotic remarks were anything but flirting to you.
"sorry, i'm not into losers who can't treat girls right," you joked, extending your arms to offer kuramochi an onigiri.
grabbing one, kuramochi nibbled at the first bite before devouring the rest in the next bite. "you got— what the hell, this is so good, y/n-san!"
you giggled at the shortstop's words, telling him there's plenty more for him to eat. kuramochi stared at you for a moment as if lost in a trance. snapping back out of it instantly, he gave you his signature grin.
miyuki sneered at the scene in front of him, not believing what he just witnessed. how could you insult the world's most prettiest and talented catcher ever; all while flirting with his friend before his eyes?
"who are the ones flirting now?" miyuki didn't know why, but his heart churned in such a way he had never felt before. it was an agonizing feeling, yet he was quick to burry it.
this foreign emotion surfacing perplexed him to no end. not wanting anyone to catch on, miyuki put on his usual disposition. for the remainder of the day, he kept bothering you both endlessly, ignoring the strange weight in his chest.
"shut up dude!"
