"DID YOU GUYS COPY THAT?" Steve asked the team, his voice echoing inside the Quinjet's comms. Clint, Natasha, and Jamie were inside the jet with their respective attire as they gathered together, waiting for the right moment to attack.
"We did." Hawkeye responded, his grip tightening on the hoop.
"I got a private jet taking off, across town, no manifest. That could be him." The Russian asassin added, her eyes trailing down the busy road with narrowed eyes.
Clint noticed a truck heading across a bridge, causing him to point a finger. "There. It's a truck from the lab. Right above you, Cap. On the loop by the bridge. It's them. I got three with the Cradle, one in the cab. I could take out the driver."
He shifted in his seat, meeting Jamie and Natasha's gaze. "We got a window. Four, three—give 'em hell." he said, making the duo nod their heads before dropping out of the Quinjet.
Natasha rode on a bike, with Jamie placed on the back, her hands tightly clasped around her stomach. On their way, the Heroine picked up Steve's shield. "We're always picking up after you boys."
Jamie snorted, a scoff emitting from her lips. "Tell me about it."
"They're heading under the overpass, I've got no shot." they heard Clint's voice filling inside their eardrums.
Natasha frowned. "Which way?" she questioned, her eyes darting across the traffic.
"Hard right—Now." Natasha head over the truck as Jamie threw Steve back his shield to use it to knock down Ultron.
The pedestrians on the pavement and the busy streets became taken off guard, watching the two women riding on a bike as they tried to chase after the truck. "Out of the way, coming through! Sorry, coming through!" Jamie said, her voice flowing in the wind. She gave a few civilians an apologetic look.
"Clint, can you draw out the guards?" Natasha asked.
"Let's find out."
Jamie's stomach filled with knots as they rode towards a flight of stairs. She gripped onto her friend's waist, feeling herself almost slipping from her crampy seat.
"Heading back towards you. So whatever you're gonna do, do it now." Clint said through the comms, making the redhead nod her head.
"I'm going in. Jamie, can you keep them occupied with Steve?" Natasha asked, shifting in her seat.
"What do you think I've been doing?" they heard Steve's voice through the piece, making Jamie stifle a laugh.
As Natasha entered the truck, Jamie moved her body to the front, grabbing the grip and speeding away towards the train by using her device to track Captain America. Once she found the train, she speed forwards and neared the track. She held the front with one hand, before she slowly stood up to make a jump for it.
Jamie's feet landed on the roof, her hair flowing through the wind as the line hastened its pace. She used her sword for balance, walking towards the large hole on the middle. Her eyes trailed down, watching terror clouding the passengers face as they watched Steve getting beat up by Ultron.
Jamie let her body fall down the hole, gracefully landing in front of Ultron. Her sclerars turned dark, along with black arteries crawling from underneath her eyes as she went into Virago mode. She angled her swords, her blade beaming with energy as she sent him backwards. She walked forward, watching the robotic figure curled into a metal door.
Ultron sneered with anger, quickly standing up and blasting a beam of fire to her way, which she deflected, but he pushed further, increasing his boost till she couldn't handle it. The joist threw her across the train.
Jamie's body hit the metal pole with a thud. She let out a groan, feeling a pair of rough hands pulling her up to her feet. Jamie grunted, her arteries writhing from anger. She gripped on her blade, slowly walking forwards, but was stopped by a person appearing in front of her.
The Heroine stepped back, watching Pietro and Wanda at the train, their eyes glowering at Ultron. Jamie's eyes sparked, eyes locked with Wanda as she gave her an apologetic look. The young teen's lip curved into a soft smile before turning her attention back on Ultron.
"Please. Don't do this." Ultron's pleading tone making the twins look at him with anger.
"What choice do we have?" Wanda snapped, her hands flexed as crimson energy roamed around her fingers.
Ultron fled off, causing a haywire of multiple screams and cries from the passengers. Steve gripped on his earpiece, his eyes frantically darting across the train with panic. "I lost him! He's headed your way." he told Clint.
"Nat! Jamie, you see Nat?" Hawkeye asked, his voice wavering at the end.
A wave of worry crippled inside her chest, the thought of something happening to her best friend. She looked at Steve, her worried eyes gazing at him. She shook her head, emitting a small no.
"If you have the package, get it to Stark! Go!" Steve concluded, his firm voice sending a tendril of anxiety into Jamie's body.
"Do you have eyes on Nat?" Clint once again said, his voice demanding.
The train accelerated at a higher speed, causing the line to move to the side. Jamie's footing stumbled, causing her to collide with a commuter. As she muttered a small apology, a warm hand interwined with hers and she looked up meeting Wanda's soft look.
"Go! Civillians in our path." Steve urged, making Pietro speed off to his sister.
"Can you stop this thing?" he asked Wanda, watching her letting out a hesistant nod before he picked up passengers and moved them out of the way of the train.
Wanda used her abilities, sending a beam of energy beneath the train. She used all of her strength, pushing herself to stop the line. Civillians moved further on the front section, their screams of terror erupting inside the train.
Jamie gave her hand a squeeze before she dashed towards Steve, helping the others. She gripped on the metal pole, feeling the speed impossible to reach through. She grabbed her sword and pierced through the teach, but the sword ended up flying across the train. This sent her all the way across the end, but luckily Steve caught her.
Steve held her to her chest, putting the shield to block obstacled from coming towards them. "You okay?" he asked, heavily panting through his mask.
Jamie nodded, "Yeah." she managed to let out, feeling her heart palpitate.
After finally stopping the train, Wanda went over to an out-of-breath Pietro. Jamie and Steve panted, their heavy breaths lingering in the air as they slowly stepped out of the train, with civillians hot on their heel. Jamie watched the twins a few distance away from them, her heart clenching at Pietro's hunched form.
"I'm fine. I just need to take a minute." Pietro said through his ragged breathing.
"I'm very tempted not to give you one." Steve jeered, his tone rigid.
Jamie gave him a frown, her scowl deepening at his choices of words. She walked forwards, nearing closer to the twins while ignoring Steve's confused stare piercing at the back of her head. She brought a hand to Pietro's back, giving it a gentle pat. "You alright?"
Pietro's exhaled sharply through his nose, feeling his breathing regain back to normal. He turned his body to her, a grateful smile resting on his features. He gave her a nod.
"The Cradle, did you get it?" Wanda asked Steve, earning the pair's attention.
"Stark will take care of it." He replied, a frown forming his face as he watched her face fall.
Wanda shook her head. "No, he won't."
Steve and Jamie shared a look. The Heroine shifted, giving the young woman a puzzled look. "Tony is not crazy, Wanda." she opposed softly, her eyebrows furrowed at her sudden change of demeanor.
"He will do anything to make things right." Wanda continued, her glowering gaze staring at Steve.
Steve shifted, discomfort painted his face. He brought a hand to his earpiece. "Stark, come in. Stark. Anyone on comms?" he called, his forehead creasing.
Wanda folded her arms in front of her chest. "Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it. Where do you think he gets that?"
