PAULEY DIDN'T REALIZE the tears coming out of her eyes until she realized that Eddie was wiping them away. "Shit, shit, shit. Uh, Pauley, I need you to get up please." Eddie begged her โ€” grabbing both of her hands and holding them in his own. Pauley seemed to come to and nodded, "Okay.." She whispered before letting Eddie pull her to her feet. Eddie dragged her out of the house before running to his van to turn it on โ€” Pauley got in on the passenger side and before she closed the door, Eddie sped off, the door slamming shut on its own.

What they didn't know was someone was watching them.

Max Mayfield.

"Where the hell are we going Eddie?" Pauley exclaimed as Eddie went down roads that she didn't recognize, "Somewhere where we can lay low." He answered, his tone irritated. Pauley furrowed her brows, "Well, can you at least not drive like a maniac so we don't get pulled over?" She yelled before putting her head in her hands. Eddie breathed heavily, not responding to her before he turned the radio on โ€” "Somebody told me, "Boy, everything she wants is everything she sees." I guess I must have loved you." The lyrics to Everything She Wants by Wham! played loudly through the speakers and Pauley couldn't help but laugh.

Eddie huffed, too drained of energy to change the station. The two sat in a comfortable silence and Pauley moved slightly to the music โ€” until suddenly, the radio turned off. The two looked at the radio before the van slowly rolled to a stop on a seemingly abandoned road. Eddie turned the wheel but the van didn't move causing him to hit it out of anger, "Fuck!" He exclaimed before getting out of the van โ€” "Guess we'll have to walk." He groaned making Pauley give him a tight lipped smile. She got out of the van also and the two walked, side by side, down the road.

"Where even are we?" Pauley asked after a minute of silence and Eddie looked down at his feet โ€” "We're gonna be staying at um, Reefer Rick's house." Pauley quirked a brow. "Reefer Rick?" She questioned and Eddie sighed, "He's just some guy I know, he won't mind." Now, it wasn't a lie but Eddie didn't want to go more in depth with him and Reefer Rick's relationship. He hasn't even told Pauley about his drug dealing mostly because โ€” he was worried she would look at him differently because of it. Pauley nodded at his words, "Okay.." She whispered back before they went back to a comfortable silence.

After possibly ten minutes of walking, Eddie and Pauley made it to Reefer Rick's house. Eddie grabbed onto Pauley's hand before guiding her with him to the boat house next to Rick's home. Eddie got the door open with a little struggle before pulling Pauley inside. It felt as if the two could finally relax, if not for the slight tension from the hand holding the two were doing. Pauley looked down at their connected hands โ€” Eddie was the one to let go. "So, this is where we're going to be staying. It's not the Ritz but, it'll do." Eddie joked before taking the tarp off the boat in the middle, he motioned to the inside, "I'll let you take the boat miss."

Pauley smiled softly at the gesture, "No, it's okay." She quickly said which then resulted in an argument between the two โ€” "Here, how about we both sleep in the boat, making everyone happy!" Eddie exclaimed making not only Pauley but himself surprised. Pauley crossed her arms, "Fine." Eddie mocked her before he got into the boat and laid down, groaning slightly in discomfort. "Come on." Eddie motioned with his hands for her to come over to him โ€” which she did. Trying to maneuver herself as best as she could, Pauley ended up laying down on top of Eddie, "I don't think I can move." Pauley mumbled making Eddie chuckle softly, "It's fine." He pulled the tarp back over the two of them, he sighed โ€” "Goodnight... Princess."

The sound of birds woke Pauley up that morning, it had to be around eight in the morning. With her eyes closed, she snuggled more into the fabric underneath her โ€” thinking it was her pillow โ€” before she placed her hand over the one on her waist, Eddie's hand. Her eyes snapped open and before she could freak out, Eddie removed his hand, giving her an escape on getting out. Pauley slowly sat up โ€” lifting the tarp as she did before she got out of the boat as quietly and smoothly as she could. When she stepped onto the wooden floor underneath her โ€” Pauley stretched before going to take off her bag.

Wait.

She didn't have her bag.

Where did she leave her bag.

"Shit." Pauley exclaimed silently โ€” her estrogen shots were in her bag and she usually always had her shot in the morning. Freaking out, Pauley thought back to where she would leave it and she realized that she left her bag in Eddie's van when they were driving there with Chrissy last night.

Chrissy.

"You okay?" The sound of Eddie's voice made her jump, turning around, Pauley nodded quickly. The male raised a brow, "You sure?" Pauley nodded again. Eddie didn't press the conversation any further and instead got out of the boat also. Silently freaking out, Pauley went to walk out of the boat house before Eddie stopped her, "No, no, no, you cannot go out there." Pauley looked at him, "Why? I'm not gonna leave you here, I just need to go to the van and get something." Eddie shook his head โ€” he was definitely more cautious than Pauley was being.

But then again, Pauley had a right reason to go out into the real world. "Lee, you cannot go out there. Both of us are suspects, please don't go out there." Eddie begged โ€” grabbing both of Pauley's hands before he got down on his knees, "Please don't go out there." He begged making Pauley sigh, "Okay, I won't Eddie. I won't go."

Andrew woke up that morning, already miserable. He had to get ready and leave for work in thirty minutes. He did know that he needed to give Pauley a ride to school before that so they need to actually leave in ten minutes. Andrew went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth โ€” slightly uneasy from how quiet the house was. After finishing up in the bathroom, Andrew went to Pauley's bedroom door and knocked, "Hey sleepyhead, time to wake up." With no reply โ€” he knocked again, "Lee, it's time to get up." No response again.

"Okay, I'm gonna count to three before I open this door." Andrew announced, "One, two, three!" Opening Pauley's door, he saw that she wasn't there. She wasn't sleeping, wasn't at her desk, or even just standing up. "Pauley..?" Andrew spoke with a shakiness in his tone before he ran into the living room โ€” hoping to see Pauley but she wasn't there. Turning on the television, the news played.

Someone was dead โ€” and Andrew was heartbroken.
