It was the middle of the afternoon when it happened, no one sensed the magic that had pulsed through Camp Half-Blood or knew what happened until it was to late. Most were tucked away in their cabins suffering from the hangovers caused by the party the night before that they wouldn't even notice the power that swept them away. It took only the most powerful, leaving many of the younger campers along with some of the fairly new ones, as the godly games were about to begin.

The Godly Games also known as Theïká Paichnídia, were a series of dangerous games designed to seek out and test those who had the potential to become gods. It was something that all those who were chosen would have to participate in otherwise they wouldn't leave the small series of islands they were sent to alive.

Each demigod chosen were dropped off by portal on a random location in teams of four, each with a chest that supplied for them leather armor, weapons and rations that would help them survive. No one team knew where the other were placed and in each chest was a scroll which told them of the magical item which they would have to retrieve and bring to the tip of the islands mountain.

Each gem was infused with the power of different gods, depending on the team they belonged to but no singular one was the same. But despite the appeared safety of the location each team were dropped in, they were not alone.
