PEOPLE THOUGHT THEY could read Terry Slater like an open book. She was an orphan, so obviously she must've been closed off, right? Wrong. Being abandoned at such a young age had made Terry open her heart to others instead of shutting everyone out. She was a lover, she wanted to hold everyone as close to her heart as possible. She met Nathan Drake in the orphanage she grew up in, they'd sneak out at night to climb buildings, every now and then joining up with Nathan's older brother, Sam when he paid a visit. Then they met Sully, and Terry's heart got even bigger. Sully became her father figure, someone to learn from and look up to. Nathan thought the same.

He taught them everything he knew about stealing priceless artifacts. And when she felt ready, Terry left Sully and Nathan occasionally to do some jobs on her own. But she also left for another reason. She was in love with Nathan Drake and she knew he would never feel the same way.

However, when she gets a call from Sully, who told her they were close to finding Sir Francis Drake's treasure, she couldn't help but to tag along, despite her ever-growing feelings for her best friend.
