Johnny hums softly and grabs his phone, finally deciding to call his parents since he was out of school for the day. He had been putting it off because he didn't how to tell them he had a soulmate in America and that he didn't want to go back to Italy. How would you even do that? Without crushing your parents that is...

After a few minutes, someone on the other line picks up, bringing a large smile onto Johnny's lips. He hears his mother speak and he could have sworn that she was there with him.

"Hey, mama, " Johnny says into the phone. "I have a little story for you but you can't get mad or whatever. Do you promise not to get mad at me?" His mother replies into the phone.

"Okay, well," Johnny starts. "I actually found my soulmate here in America... He's a really sweet mama and he's just the best... The thing is... I don't want to leave him behind. I don't wanna have to go back to Italy and live in fear of not getting enough money to see him again. I don't know what to do mama." Johnny listened to his mother's voice carefully as she speaks into the phone.

"Would you really do that for me," Johnny asks, his mood instantly rising. He was thrilled to hear that his mother would do this for him. "That would mean so so so much to me, mama! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Johnny laughs happily and grins widely, bouncing on his heels happily. He listens to his mother talk some more and keeps grinning like a fool.

"Of course! I'll call you soon! Bye, Amore you!"

Johnny hangs up before quickly dialing in his soulmate's phone number, holding it up to his ear.

"Pick up, pick up," Johnny murmurs, still bouncing on his heels. After a few rings, he picks up.

"Ponyboy," Johnny yells into the phone excitedly. He hears Ponyboy chuckle.

"What now, cutie," Ponyboy asks. "Seems like you got the best news of your life."

"Cause I did!"

"What is it?"

"I get to stay in America!"
