"hey mason can we talk?" i tap him on the shoulder and he nods.

i lead him to my room and he leans by the door and avoids eye contact with me.

"what do you want calv- calista?" he says with a bit of annoyance in his tone.

"i- im sorry mason, i don't know why i don't like walker and i don't know why i can't bring myself to like him and i just.. i just really miss you mason and i just want my fucking best friend back, okay?" i put my hands in my face.

he hesitates for a second and looks me in the eyes with sadness showing.

"look calista i get where you're coming from, but you can't just hate someone for no reason, it's just not fair on them and i don't know why you don't seem to get that." he stutters over a few words.

"no mason! actually i don't think you get where im coming from at all, you don't find it hard at all to make new friends or to trust people easily, you're supposed to be my best friend, not his. i need you mason, you're the only person that really understands me but right now you're not listening to me and i really need you to just fucking listen to me for just this once!" i burst  out with my face heating up in anger.

"oh my gosh, you do this all the time! you always assume how people feel but never even ask them! you don't know how i feel because i've never been able to tell you! you're always talking about yourself, everything seems to be all about you, you, you! but never about me? do you even know how that makes me feel? i was at MY lowest point and i needed you, i fucking needed you! and you know where you were? you were with dylan, dylan who has treated you the absolute worse, dylan that goddamn made fun of your dead sister! and you let him do it because you were 'so inlove' but if you really think about it, you're just a delusional, entitled, selfish little bitch that needs to realise that the world does not revolve around you! grow the fuck up!" mason bursts out furiously pacing around the room with anger evident in his eyes and refusing to look me in the eyes.

"get the fuck out my house." i mumble.

"what..?" his eyes widen.

"i said get the fuck out my house mason!" i look him in the eyes, not letting a single tear drop from my eyes.

"fine, i didn't wanna be here in the first place anyway, and consider our friendship over." he stutters the last bit putting his head down and a single tear drop falling from his eye.

i nod and just turn around facing the wall.

"are you not even gonna try and stop me, not even gonna beg me to still be friends." he cries while stepping to the door.

"fuck you mason" ." i croak out

"oh and take your new best friend with you." i huff about to start crying.

i put my phone down and head into the bathroom.

i lay on the floor and just look at the ceiling, masons words still ringing in my head violently, making my head throb.
