"Don't scream....it's only me" a tall lady with short blonde hair whispered, holding Pariza close by her waist.
She blinked, finding herself in a beautiful light blue dress, surrounded by many well dressed people. Soft music played in her ear as she had no idea where she was or who was this very tall woman that she was currently dancing with.
But she had no control over what she did or said.
".....Yelena?" she whispered, feeling her lean her head close to her ear.
"Don't be alarmed...." She whispered in her ear. "I was sent to warn you about something."
"Who sent you?" Pariza asked. But in her mind, she was asking herself 'who is Yelena?'. She didn't know a Yelena.
"I can't tell you." Yelena whispered, spinning them around, trying to not have any of the guards recognize her. "But I must warn you.....do not go to Will Tybur's announcement."
"What? Why?"
Yelena spun her around, making her hold her from behind. Which forced Pariza to look into her cold eyes. Yelena gazed into her periwinkle eys softly before moving a strand of hair out of her face. "Just trust me....your majesty."
Pariza suddenly woke up, breathing heavy as she looked around her dark room. Sasha, Ymir and Christa were sound asleep. With Ymir and Sasha snoring rather loudly. She wondered how Christa was able to sleep through it.
Sighing, she ran her fingers through her hair, feeling fully awake now. What was that dream? Who were those people she mentioned and who was Yelena? Why did she adress her as "your majesty" ?
It was all confusing. So she decided to get some fresh air and read a little.
She sighed softly, kicking off her blanket and picked up her book that laid close by on a wooden table. She quietly crept out of the room, closing the door behind her. She didn't want to wake any of them up. Pariza knew it would be a huge mistake if she woke up Ymir.
As much as the tall, freckle faced girl was her friend and someone she enjoyed being around, she could be a huge bitch if she was distrubed out of her sleep.
And no one wanted to deal with that.
Pariza snuck out of the hallway and made her way to one of the rooftops that had a tall ledge made of cement and bricks just to sit and read her family book.
She huddled her knees up and looked at the sky, enjoying the shining stars and the full moon. Pariza wished that every night she could do this. But she knew once she's graduated, there will be rare times where she will be able to appreciate the night sky for what it truly is.
Sighing a little, she looked down at ther book and began reading where she left off.
"The golden goddess was not born from the flesh of humans or the spine of a higher being. It was concieved through the sun. Molded by the earth and rose like the morning sun. No one knew where this golden goddess came from. But all wanted her power to themselves.
There were some who saw her as a sacred being who was generous and kind, others saw her as a means to gain power. And after the half montrous golden goddess past her body and life down to one queen, many has tried to kill her in order to drink the blood from her body, which will grant them the powers of the golden goddess.
And as many times as it has happened, once the last of the royal heir was born, she was sent away from her kingdom. Hidden from the world. Never to be seen again. Thus the fall of the Golden Empire and the rise of a new civilisation."
"Pari," a voice spoke, making her jump and clutch her book to her chest. She looked up and was shocked to see Eren walking towards her.
He had a mini lantern in his hand and he, too, looked shocked to see her there.
"Eren," She sighed out in relief. "You scared me."
"Sorry," He chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "I didn't know you came up here, too. I had a rather weird dream ad decided to come here to relax."
"Oh!" Pariza said, moving over a little. "You may join, if you'd like."
Eren smiled alittle, walking over to her and sitting right next to her. He noticed she had her family's book in her hand. She only read it when she couldn't sleep so something must have been bothering her.
"You okay?" He asked, a little worried. "I see you're reading your mom's book."
Pariza tucked a piece of her black hair behind her ear as she looked down at her book. "Yeah, I uhh....I also had a rather weird dream and I couldn't sleep."
"Ah, you can fix that with a lot of reading, huh?"
"Only recently," Pariza giggled a little. "So, what was your dream about?"
Eren shrugged, looking at the sky. "It started off as the regular nightmares. Mom, Dad....Wall Maria." He said, trailing off. He almost sounded sad after mentioning his parents. "Then if flashed over some weird images. Some place filled with what I assume is sand, the sun....Golden buildings. It looked like a castle but...made of gold."
Pariza frowned a little. The description sounded a lot like the story she was reading. Of course, Eren has never touched her family book ever because he felt like it was something private to her and her, alone.
"That's kind of unexpected." She replied, slowly opening he book again. "Because the fairy tale book my mom left me has a place that describes just what you said."
Eren's eyes lit up. He used to love Naisah's stories. He and Pariza would beg their moms to let Naisha tell her fairytales to them before they had to get home for bed. And any oppurtunity to hear them again, Eren would always get happy to hear them.
"You see, the people worshipped a giant being with a golden body, beautiful eyes but a mouth like a vicious monster." She recited, reading along. "Though her face was half monster, she was beautiful enough to hypnotize everyone of the subjects of the golden empire into seeing her as a goddess. She was graceful, kind and powerful.
But as time went on, even goddesses must fall. But because the subjects of the golden empire wanted to keep her alive as much as possible, she was coverted into liquid gold. The Empress of the Golden Empire drunk the giantess' liquified body and became the host of the Golden Giant. As time went on, and as she had a child, it got past down from her to her princess. And so on and so forth.
But as time went on, the last host was sent away due to corruption and war. No one knows where she went or if she is still alive. But they never lost hope in finding her. They believed that someday, she will make her presences known and bring peace to the new world."
Eren's eyes glittered in awe and wonder as he listened closely. The story sounds just as majestic as he remembered. And everytime he heard it, it made him wonder. This golden giant sounded like it could have been a titan. But.....gentle? he didn't know. Like this creature was just a gentle giant.
Even with a half monstrous face.
"Wow....." He gasped softly. "You sound just like Miss Naisha, Pari."
Pariza blushed, fighting back a shy smile. "No, I'm serious." He continued. "You would do so good at the orphanage. The children there would love to hear these stories. I know Miss Naisha used to volunteer there. Why not do the same as soon as we graduate?"
"I'd be too busy doing expeditions to do that." She chuckled out.
"I'm really glad that you always have my back, Pari." Eren said, circling an arm around her shoulders. "You, Mikasa, and Armin has always been there for me no matter if I got you all in trouble or not....You never left."
Pariza smiled, leaning into his hold. Her head rested on his chest as he cuddled her closer. "I'll always be here for you, Eren......Always."
The two stayed in the embrace, just enjoying each other's company and the beautiful night sky together.
this is so sweet, honestly.
By the way, I never know what I'm going to write. I just wing it. So whenever I update any of my books, nothing besides FROST BITE is prewritten. It's all from the top of my head lol.
I don't have a writing style. I just write as my mind goes along.
but anyways, don't be a ghost reader and please give a lot of attention to CHERRY COLA and TELEPATIA. I really want to continue on with those two but it seems like all i am getting with them is ghost readers. It seems like no one really comments a lot unless I update FROSTBITE and I don't want to start taking books down because no one pays attention to it.
1k followers and I only get like a few hundred reads, a few votes and very little comments.
but anyways, don't forget to comment and vote.
love you all and stay safe wherever you are.
