"Has anyone ever told you that your eyes resemble the sky?" was the first thing Pariza heard as soon as she entered her new living quaters. Not even a second later, a very tall, freckle faced, brunette young lady walked over to her and picked up a piece of her black hair. As if examining it.

But what made her nervous was the fact that she looked rather angry. Maybe it was just her face, who knows. Either way, she looked very intimidating to the much smaller girl.

"And you have the blackest hair I've ever seen. I would ask if you didn't get enough sunlight but judging by your medium dark tan, I can see you get plenty."

"Ymir, don't scare her!" A blonde haired girl with kind blue eyes scolded, quickly making her way over to them.

Pariza, herself, was only 5'2". So she had a couple of inches over this girl. Though, it didn't seem noticeable. Still, she blinked at the both of them, kinda shocked by the interaction.

"I'm sorry," The blonde apologized with a warm smile. "She's way too honest for her own good but I promise you, she's nice. I'm Christa Lenz and that's Ymir."

"I am Pariza Al Ghul, nice to meet you." Pariza introduced herself, smiling at the both of them.

Her smile kind of caught the both of them off guard as it was very pretty to them. But Christa just smiled back while Ymir stayed stoic.

"Your father is pretty famous around these parts, huh?" Ymir asked, as she watched the girl place her bag on one of the bottom bunks. "Al Ghul sounds like a mythical name."

"Ha! So I've been told." Pariza giggled. It wasn't the first time someone has told her that she had a rather mythical name. She used to hear people in Shiganshina always tell her mother the same thing.

Hell, Eren's first words to her were "are you an angel or something? your name sounds too magical"

Then again, Eren had always been way too honest for his own good. But her mother told her that her name meant light, fairy, flower. So she guesses that her mother had a thing for fairytale names.

"By the way, if you find random food hidden in this room, don't mind Sasha," Christa said as she brushed her hair. "She likes eating a lot."

Pariza could guess who this Sasha was. The same girl that nearly choked on bread in the mess hall after she insulted Jean. That girl sure can eat. It was admirable, honestly.

"I think I'm going to like her." She mumbled as she began getting ready for bed.

She was a little upset that Mikasa was in a different room. Because she wanted someone she felt very comfortable with rooming with her but she was happy to know that the girls she shared a room with were nice. Or one of them were.

Ymir was hard to read but at least she hadn't insult her in anyway. She was just a very blunt person.

"It's the Aptitude Test!" Shadis yelled at them as they stood under the bright sun rays. "So listen up! There is no place for you here if you cannot perform!"

Pariza looked up at the mechine that held a garter belt. This training or test was to see if they could balance with their ODM devices. Which looked kind of easy but then again, she could be wrong.

She used to be a rather clumsy child growing up. So she was a little worried about this entire test.

Pariza watched with amazement as Mikasa was one of the first to be tested and she passed. As expected but it was still amazing to see how skillful she was. She loved that about Mikasa.

"How fascinating..." Pariza mumbled, her glittering eyes looked at her quieter counterpart.

"I-I can do that, as well." Jean stuttered out, seeing her look at the black haired woman with wonder.

"So can I!" Eren interjected, pushing him aside to stand next to Pariza. "I can probably pass this in one shot!"

Eren had always been a rather jealous person. And that was mainly aimed at Mikasa, for some reason. Any time she would compliment her or look at her a certain way, Eren would try his hardest to gain her attention in anyway he could.

Mikasa never really paid attention to it but she did pay a lot of attention to the way Pariza would compliment her. She may love Eren but Pariza was very special to the female Ackerman.

"Shut up, you stupid asshole!" Jean yelled, shoving him back.

Eren, ever the hothead, shoved him back and yelled, "Mind your own business, horse face!"

"What did you call me?!"

"You heard me!"

"The both of you, cut that out!" Shadis yelled louder than the two of them. "Not unless you want to run around this entire came until your feet bleed!"

Pariza sighed, shaking her head a little. Boy could be so juvenile.

"Al Ghul!" Shadis suddenly called to her. "You're up next!"

Pariza took a deep breath as she tossed her hair over her shoulder. She had to tie it into a low ponytail for training. She thought about cutting it but decided against it. She loved her hair long.

She saw that Mikasa took Eren's advice. Seeing as her hair was now reached the top of her shoulders.

One of Shadis' assistants strapped her into the belt and another handled the handles. As soon as he cranked the rope, she was lifted into the air.

Pariza felt weightless and she felt like she could fly. She didn't know why she was scared before, this was fun! Of course, in a serious situation, she had to be more mindful. But as she looked over everyone, perfectly balancing her body, she couldn't help but feel like a bird.

"Al Ghul, it's not a damn game!" Shadis yelled at her from below as he monitored the others and their progress. "Stop smiling like a baby!"

"Y-Yes sir!" She yelled back, immediately stopping her smile. But that didn't stop the small grin from gracing her lips again.

She looked at Armin, who was on a device next to her. He looked like he was getting the hang of it. Feeling accomplished, he smiled as his eyes landed on her.

Pariza smiled at him brightly. In a way to congradulate him.

Armin's face turned light pink at her smile as he suddenly looked shy. But he still returned the favor to her before Shadis ruined the moment by yelling at him, nearly throwing him off his balance.

She nervously giggled, hoping that she didn't get him in trouble. Maybe smiling isn't the best option.....Sorry Arminie....

While some had no problem passing the test, Eren failed. He ended upside down when he tried and that caused him to almost have a concussion. Poor thing had his head bandaged after training.

When dinner time came, everyone had to shower and got straight to the mess hall. So she cleaned herself, left her hair down and dressed into a black long sleeve shirt, a burgundy long flowy skirt and brown boots.

She tried her best to comfort Eren, seeing as he was very much peeved by how today went. But it seemed like nothing she did would work.

"It'll be okay." She said, patting his shoulder. "I'm sure you'll get it down tomorrow."

"How exactly do you know that, Pari?" Eren snapped at her a little. "Honestly, I would love to know that."

"She's trying to comfort you, Eren." Mikasa scolded him from the opposite side of him. "Do not take your frustrations out on her."

Eren sighed, before apologizing like a small child. "Sorry, Pari."

Pariza just waved her hands vigorously, smiling nervously. "It's okay, Mikasa, really! I'm used to him!"

"Pari is right." Armin spoke up. "Maybe we could help you in some way. Or we could get someone's advice."

"We could find someone to help you." Pariza suggested, agreeing with Armin. "That's a great idea, Armin."

"Heheh...T-Thanks," Armin chuckled sheepishly, feeling his ears grow hot.

After dinner, Pariza started looking around for other people to help them with Eren but she didn't know who would want to actually help him. Since most of them thought he was crazy for wanting to join the Scouts.

But she didn't give up as she saw two very tall figures on their way out. She recognized them as Reiner and Bertholdt. They were some of them that passed easily. They would be great help.

"E-Excuse me!" She called to them.

Both tall men stopped and turned to her. Well, more like they had to actually crane their necks to look down at her. She's a small individual. She couldn't help she got her mother's height.

Her father was a giant compair to her mother. He was about 6'9".

"Hello, tiny thing." Reiner greeted her with an amused grin on his face. "What can we do for you?"

"Umm..." Pariza mumbled, stunned with how tall they were. "Uh...my friend Eren needs help with his ODM belt a-and since you two passed as well....Could you help us? It would mean a lot."

Reiner and Bertholdt looked at each other before looking back at her. She flashed them an innocent look in her eyes and she did look rather cute to them. Who were they to say no to her?

"Well, since you are a cute little thing, we'll help." Bertholdt said, patting the top of her head.

Although she didn't really appreciate the giant hand ruffling her hair, she smiled at the two of them in a grateful manner.

"Hey!" Pariza quickly caught up with Eren and the rest. With Reiner and Bertholdt close behind. "I found some people that will help!"

Eren and Armin turned to see their small companion with two very tall cadets in tow. Both boy's eyes widened at the size of them. Where the hell did she find those two and how did she convince them to help?

"This is Reiner and Bertholdt." Pariza introduced as soon as they caught up. "They've agreed to help us."

"N-Nice to m-meet you." Armin stuttered out, still in pure shock of their appearance.

"Thank you for helping." Eren thanked, getting over his shock.

"Well, we couldn't say no to such a pretty face, now could we?" Reiner joked, patting the back of Pariza's shoulder a little.

The impact made her stumble a little but she chuckled a little, anyways. Still....that kind of hurt her. Man, were they really giant.

Pariza and Armin watched as Reiner and Bertholdt helped Eren with his belt as they say on the grass, under the night sky.

The night showcased all of the stars, for there weren't any harsh lights to outshine them. The night was her favorite time of the day for many reasons.

She used to watch the stars with her parents almost every night before going to bed. Her mother used to sit her down on her lap and tell her stories about the stars and other fairytales she made up.

"It sure is beautiful tonight." She mumbled quietly as the light breeze flowed through her hair.

Armin looked at her. He had so many questions about her and to this day, he was so sure that Pariza would remain a mystery to him. But a wonderful mystery. One he sort of hoped he would never solve.

"Mom would always tell me stories of far away lands." Pariza spoke again as she looked at the glimmering stars. "Like land that are covered in ice, lakes that are bigger and stretch-"

"For miles!" Armin finished, a slow smile gracing his lips.

Pariza looked at him with widened eyes as she smiled excitedly at him. "You believe in it, too?!"

"I never knew you felt that way." Armin admitted but was happy to know he wasn't the only one who believed in those stories.

He knew she loved reading as much as he did but he never mentioned all of the things he read because he feared that she would call him crazy. In hindsight, it was ridiculous to think that because they grew up together.

But he just didn't want to be judged by her. Either way, he was glad to know he wasn't the only one.

"Mom used to tell me that there are little sparking rocks that could be found in the giant lake." Pariza said, remembering her mother's words. "They supposedly shine in the light and, if they are big enough, you could hear the water in it."

"That sounds beautiful." Armin said, in awe. "I-I also read that there are places were you can see all of the stars and cosmos....I've always wanted to go, some day."

"Well, we can go together." Pariza said, nudging. He laughed a little, turning pink in the face as he ducked his head down.

"I'm serious, Arminie." She giggled out. "Promise me you will show me the stars one day."

She stuck out her pinky to him. Armin looked at it for a minute. He couldn't help but admire how beautiful she was. How....mystical she really was. He could see why many had a hard time staying away from her.

She was so alluring and he found himself trapped in her spell. What made it better was that she had no idea of the effect. She was blissfully ignorant and Armin loved that about her.

Wrapping his pinky with hers, he smiled at her softly. "I promise."
