LORELAI WARREN WAS A SHADOW— that's how everybody was seeing her. At home, she was by herself most of the time. At school, she was Olivia Valdovinos' best friend. Olivia was beautiful, attractive, and everyone knew and noticed her. She was fearless. Lorelai was just... here.

But the reality behind that was something no one ever saw. Lorelai was so focused on making everyone comfortable that she was just stepping back all the time, so she wouldn't bother anyone. She had always been like that. But since her parents' death, it's like her whole world was falling apart.
