𝕬 faint tapping on her window catches her attention but she ignores it when it stops for a minimum of five seconds only to resume again.
June shifts on her back to glance at the curtain covered window, a frown slowly etching into her features as she throws the light blanket away and marches up to the window with her heart in her throat.
She's watched way too many slasher films for such a situation to not rattle her brain.
Bracing herself, she peeps through the curtains and gazes down at the front yard, a laugh escaping her lips when she sees the smile greeting her from below.
Carefully, she slides the window open and leans forward, "What are you doing here?", she whisper shouts hoping the sudden sound goes unnoticed by both her grandfather and her mother sleeping on the same floor.
"I missed you", he simply yells back in a quiet tone and she laughs again.
She saw Jack only two hours ago when she dropped the brothers off at their house after movie night at the drive-in theater.
"Could've called me instead?".
He shakes his head, "Can I come up?".
Her eyes widen, teeth clawing on her bottom lip as she considers declining because . . . she's not alone in the house, a number of things could go wrong.
But there's just something about the way he's staring up at her with that adorable expectant smile that makes her cave in.
"Be quiet, I'll open the back door".
He grins.
Two minutes later, she's dragging him up the stairs — making sure to be quiet while she does so — and shoves him inside her room, locking the door behind them.
He finally allows himself to chuckle.
"Are you embarrassed of me, June?", he steps into her personal space caging her against the door when his palms come up to rest beside her head.
She bites her lip, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of his t-shirt.
She intentionally brushes her hand against his bare skin, smiling to herself when she hears his breath hitch at the feeling of her fingers slowly trailing down his stomach to the waistband of his jeans.
"So embarrassed", she breathes out, his lips skim down the side of her jaw finding home on the delicate skin of her neck, nibbling and kissing while she stays rooted in place her breathing escalating at the feel of his lips peppering her skin with kisses.
"Is it because I'm not that relevant?", his warm breath hits her neck as he recalls her words from a few hours ago.
She giggles pulling him closer so that his hips are pressing into her, her back pushing into the locked door.
"Yeah".
He abruptly pulls away to look down at her.
"Yeah?", amusement dances in his eyes.
She smiles wide, rising up to her toes to capture his lips between hers.
"Yeah", she murmurs, smiling when he kisses her back with a relishing hunger pulling her body flush against his to walk them to the bed.
His tongue meets her, tasting and tangling in a delicate game, hands aching to touch and learn her every curve, every dip.
He leads her down on the bed, coming up to hover over her, her hands making quick work of signalling his t-shirt off.
He does the same with her, smiling when she kisses his neck with a driving urgency that pushes them both to undress swiftly, their bare bodies now touching in every corner.
She pushes him off-balance when he's busy trailing his fingers down her thigh, exploring and exploring until he's down on his back and she's on top of him with a mischievous grin.
"Hi", he smiles, breathless.
"Hi", she leans down pressing a long kiss to his lips, slowly moving down to his neck.
She opens her mouth, her teeth lightly grazing his skin as she begins sucking puckering her lips to gain traction and placing open-mouthed kisses while she continues nibbling on his skin.
Her hips grind against his, feeling the temptation aching through both their bodies letting herself move in synchronicity with the jerk of his hips arching to meet hers in a desperate attempt to feel closer.
He moans softly, fingers tangling in her tresses and pulls her head back gently but she ignores him, laying addictive kisses all over his neck.
"June", he chides but his voice comes out in a whisper hearted groan, delighted to be made the subject of her delicious attention.
She hums still kissing his neck when he flips them over, earning a whine from her the moment her lips disconnect from his skin.
"Think you can be quiet?", he asks kissing the corner of her mouth and she eagerly nods.
He takes that as his cue to finally enter her, feel her wrapping around him as the temptation grows and her breathing grows shallow, hands trailing down his spine.
He moves, feeling her chest rise and fall against his, her nipples brushing against his bare chest.
She moans loudly when he hits a deep spot and his hand immediately clamps down on her mouth, shaking his head at her surprised eyes as he continues thrusting into her.
Her eyes flutter, nails digging into his back with her thighs wrapped tightly around his hips, pulling him up arching against him and feeling herself gets closer and closer every time his hips meet hers.
She moans against his hand, a low grunt sounding from his throat when he lowers his forehead to hers.
They let themselves get lost in the feeling of complete and utter beautiful devastation as they make up for days lost, lips swollen and eyes twinkling in the dark of the room.

Jack didn't want to leave last night and June didn't want him to leave either so he ended up in her bed, their legs tangled together and his chest firm against her back holding her in a protective embrace as they fell asleep.
He had made it a point to set an alarm for early morning so that he could leave and get inside his house before either of their families woke up.
He'd only just started to pull himself up from the bed when she had grumbled and pulled his arm to force him back under the covers.
"I need to leave, Bug", he'd laughed brushing her hair away from her face.
She tiredly opened her eyes and gave him a narrow-eyed stare.
"No".
"Want your mom to walk in on us?".
"The door's locked", she simply stated snuggling in closer to his arm.
"I'm serious".
She fully opened her eyes at that, looking up at his tousled hair and soft morning face smiling down at her.
If she tried, she could see the faint pain lingering behind his sapphire irises.
Reluctantly, she let go off his arm allowing him to get up and get dressed.
"Back door?", he asks, stuffing his phone in his pocket.
She exhales and sits up, grabbing her nightgown off the floor and gesturing for him to follow her.
Quietly, they creep down the stairs and she shows him out but he makes sure to leave a lasting memory of his lips on hers before walking away.
The last thing Jack needed upon entering his house was a flurry of questions regarding where he'd been so early in the morning and why he was still dressed in last night's clothes which is why he breaths a sigh of relief when he realises that no one is up yet.
Gratefully, he walks up the staircase leading to his bedroom slowly twisting the knob to avoid the squeak it usually emits and almost puts a foot inside when a voice startles him.
"Where were you last night?".
He glances back to find Quinn standing near the landing in a pair of shorts and a hoodie, the headphones around his neck a clear indication of his plans for an early morning jog.
Jack internally groans and straightens up with a shrug.
"Here".
"Then why are you still in yesterday's clothes?".
"Woke up early, couldn't sleep. So I thought I'd go for a walk, I grabbed the first thing I saw".
Quinn surveys him quietly, his gaze narrowing as he zeroes in on his brother's neck.
"Explain the hickey then".
Jack almost chokes on his spit but then he reminds himself that he's not supposed to react.
"A mosquito bit me at the theater last night and I scratched it a little too hard. Don't you know your hickeys from your insect bites?".
Quinn's eyes narrow and Jack's narrow right back.
"Sounds like a funny story", his older brother comments moving to descend the stairs.
Jack snorts.
"It kinda is".
"I really didn't think you'd find someone for the summer, guess I underestimated you though", Quinn shakes his head.
"I haven't found anyone", Jack scoffs, ready to enter his room.
"Sure".
"Oh, yeah? Why are you up at five during the summer then? Since when do you go jogging so early?".
That struck a nerve and Jack knows that he's won by the irritated look on Quinn's face.
He mentally pats himself on the back.
"Mind your own business", Quinn flips him off.
Jack shrugs, "Learn to follow your own advice, bro".
Annoyed and obviously done with the conversation, Quinn walks down the stairs leaving Jack to quickly enter his room and move up to the mirror to inspect his neck.
The giant hickey on his neck makes him smile.
"Jesus, June".
