Venus Evans sipped on the coffee; watching as the boy in front of her sat at the table eating his breakfast. She had made eggs and toast, waking up thirty minutes before him. Last night was a fun ride, after the Grammy's they had decided to skip the after party and ditch timothee and Kit's friends and went off on their own.

It was his first time in new York city, with a native new yorker so she had to show him how much fun it could be. From the crazy subway stories, to easy access graffiti places- she loved the city, and shared that love with him. By the time they had got back to Timothee's and Venus' apartment it was 3am, and they ended up passing out of the couch.

She seemed so out of it, sipping on the coffee as she store out the window; not even realizing the boy who had called her name several times over. "Vee? Vee??" Her eyes jittered to him, finally noticing that he had been calling her for ages. 

"Mmm-" she hummed.

"Vee, I was just wondering... could we walk to my hotel I don't have any new clothes and-"

"Oh yeah, sorry- I just; not really a morning person."

"It's 10am,"

"You say potatoe i say potato." She grabbed the keys, putting on her shoes- "Pre-warning, we might get harassed; we were lucky yesterday- but i dont know about today."

"We will be fine-" He smiled, she just stared at him- still trying to realize what she was doing. "Vee? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, just, only timmy really calls me vee-"

"Oh sorry-" He rubbed his neck as his face reddened up. "Ill call you bee then-"

"Is that cause i'm a bit-"

"We've gotta go grab my clothes-"

Venus waited outside the hotel, luckily they hadnt been spotted before but the minute they had arrived and Kit had went in; it was like a hurricane. It had started off with a few signatures, and in a matter of seconds Venus ended up hearding the whole of new York city to her.

Paparazzi stood in front of her, flashing their cameras as she was forced to smile; trying to sign signatures as she was blinded. It was horrid, and overwhelming as everything enclosed in. 

"Bee?" She turned around, spotting Kit Connor as he walked out holding his bag. "Oh god!" She grabbed his hand, rushing forward as she pushed through the crowd. She could feel him stiffen up at her grasp, and she couldn't lie she did too. He was so warm- as if a burning fire had been set off inside him setting him to the perfect temperature.

She cut through the crowd, finally reaching the outside as she began sprinting. Now he was ahead of her, dragging her along as they laughed; it wasn't always fun. But with him everything was fun.

He flinged her around a corner into an alleyway. They watched as the paparazzi ran past, aimlessly thinking they had run around the next corner. She was panting, smiling as she looked up at him. He was still watching the street, not even noticing the girl who was looking up at him. That's when she knew, it was too late. 

"Kit-" He pushed her against the wall, covering her mouth as he continued to watch the last people run past. 

"Sorry, I'm just worried-" He looked down at her noticing how close they were before stepping apart. "Sorry-"

"Oye, stop it... You have nothing to be sorry about."

"I know- Im just-"

"Don't say it." She smiled, he began to blush looking down.

"I really need to say it now, please can I say it?" He looked back at her.

"... finee-" She rolled her eyes as he began apologizing, she lowered her head smiling. This daft fool grabbed her heart and caught it by the strings, how daft of her.

hello all, I just wanted to bring attention to the fact that I am writing a new book which is a heartstopper au. It takes place a couple years after nick and charlie, the book; leaving a new gcse student to enter truham after it became mixed gender.
