THE SHIPS RATTLES, and anakin can feel himself losing sight of the sky he's flying through.

it's filled with fighter jets and he's filled with trouble. he was running out of options and time. if he couldn't break past this swarm, he wasn't going to make it out alive.
and then the row in front of him erupts into flames; the whole fleet explodes. they fall down like comets.
❝NEED A HAND, THERE?❞
anakin shakes his head, feeling stupid and thankful at the same time, ❝(Y/N), AM I GLAD TO HEAR YOUR VOICE.❞
he finally flies past what's left of the remaining swarm of fighter jets, managing to see your jet defending him from up high. he sighs happily.
❝I OWE YOU ONE.❞
when you speak, he can feel your smile, ❝DINNER?❞
he laughs, nodding his head even though you can't see him, ❝IT'S A DATE.❞
